It is said Michael was working on a classical number and supposedly enough of it was finished that it will be released eventually. I can't wait. Michael said he often "plucked his music from the heavens" .. and this song seems to be one example. It truly sounds heavenly, even though it's titled "Earth Song".

When you hear MJ's music from an orchestral perspective, it is hard for the naysayers to say that he wasn't THAT talented. This was a truly gifted,artistic & melodic genius. He truly deserves more credit than he gets from some who dismiss him as just "Pop". He crossed many genres and often used orchestras in his songs - routinely used strings and horns. The reason it is so difficult to duplicate his music in a way that is pleasing to fans is because it is so wonderfully layered with sound..

This is so beautiful. It is a perfect showcase to the incredible talent and genius of MJ - to think that most did not know, let alone appreciate this in the US until after he passed. *smh* To those who call his work mediocre etc., he composed this as well as morphine, which I think might be interesting to hear symphonically. 'little Susie' which he alsocomposed would be incredible to hear like this. Listen to the intro of that song...hauntingly beautiful. His music was complex and layered....

And just to think i once had somebody call me 'blind' and that earth song was the 'Sh*tist song ever written'.
