  • this is so timeless...

  • perfect fusion of metal riffage and tight hip hop, its such a shame that no other groups really worked this style, "rap metal" like limp bizcuit etc is so fucking lame.

  • PRIMUS!!!!!!!!!

  • pump the fluid, inside your brain... oh wait

  • shewatchshewatchshewatchshewatch!

  • 7 more ppl watched B.E.T. on channel zero

  • 7 ppl watched static fuzz on channel zero

  • 7 people watch channel zero.

  • All hail PE for being first in the rap community to have the balls to sample a metal riff and make it sound sick!! The fact that it was a Slayer riff is just legendary! Thanks to all at Def Jam for being years ahead of everyone else.

  • "We got a black quarterback so step back" referred to the Washington Redskins Doug Williams..

  • This was the 1st rap song that actually incorporated metal music. No other group could have pulled this off and keep their street credibility! No... "Walk This Way" wasn't metal.

  • I don't want to directly respond to the douchebag below and start a flame war, but I've seen his kind before. His preferred type of music has "real instruments" and he can't be arsed with music that isn't either completely whitebread like metal or totally coopted by mainstream white audiences like jazz and blues. r&b and modern commercial rap is pretty dire, sure, but to shit on old school hip hop is just ignorant on so many levels.

  • ol school..

  • slayer and pe love it

  • @JapaneseMonsters14 PUBLIC ENEMY, now get rid of this death metal and we even better music!

  • @gdashred No, the Slayer riffs are much bettter than this nigger trash layed over them. I am not just some dumb metal head. I like Jazz, Prog Metal/Rock, Big Band, Blues, and Thrash metal....I just can't stand R&B and Rap....its all trash from the ghetto, no talent.

  • @JapaneseMonsters14 eat a dick you faggot ass youtube nazi

  • Do more Slayer rap mixes sick! Anything goes good with Slayer they are just that good they have the sickest riffs!

  • cool beyond belief!

  • Public Enemy , Slayer = mint!

  • Flava Flav preaches about bad television in this song but Flavor of Love is absolute garbage.

  • @stavssss Yeah, but they did this song in like 1988. Flavor did that TV thing in like 2004 or some shit.

  • @stavssss divide and conquer...... Flavor was always a loose cannon from day one. But he alwasy had Chuck and Griff to maintain and do damage control..... once the separation took place there was no control....

  • fuck yeah, metal and rap comes together :D

  • Flava Flav is the executive of Channel Zero now. Way to stay loyal to your fans Flav.

  • Damn, now I gotta watch angel of death.

  • man, this song is so real. every music video out right now on MTV has naked girls, money, drugs and cars. nas was right when he said "radio and tv is poison"

  • @RELAPSERR Yah and now Flav is kinda all up in it :(

I've seen these cats and also got to meet Gang of Four (they tried a couple of tour dates together wish that had worked out better).

Anyway what a pleasure to hear this again. I'm 45. Where do the years go, this was squarely 24 years ago, mate.

And don't forget KRS-One and Edutainment, Eric B and Rakim.....

  • she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa she wa

  • I played this record again, again and again...this was my favourite. The mad energy is still fresh!!

  • it's sad that i don't hear of them anymore good music&good sound and ofcourse it makes me think about my mum watching all the soap garbage!!!!!!!

  • @SMURFJES1234 Chuck D feat in a track by Religion Beats called solider boy. Religions other tracks are awesome too. Chk Lucid Feat "Moka only" an "E D G E".

  • this song reminds my sister that watches all that Disney garbage

  • classic hip hop used samples wisely and today we get shit computer sounds

  • @CyrillKR i can't agree with this more.

I have NO problems with rap using awesome shit like Angel of Death for a rap song... PE just slammed this song. Kicks ass. Unfortunately, i feel like most remixes or mash-ups nowadays that involve heavy samples are completely redundant and irrelevant.

  • There's a 5 letter word that describes her character..-That was my favorite part.

  • Too many women and men of any color watch channel zero today!!! I dindn't think when I listened to this in 1989 that it actually meant something other than good lyrics and the great Angel of Death riff. Now when I listen to it i'm like "this is our gerneration dumbed down to accept anything our government dishes out to us" It's pathetic Americans, stand up and take your country back now or lose it forever.

  • Too many black women watch channel zero today. Saw a article that sad in 10 yrs 80% of all black women will b single. No shit! They want the baller, thugs or down low types. Then once these cats trash them, they mad, angry and bitter. Real bruh bruhs can't get on with them. So they start butching or go around having babies by every lame on the block. They better start checking for these humble cats who are holding down a 9-5 and have they own crib. Real talk!

  • @HALFDEAD66 amen

  • @HALFDEAD66 humble cat= passive homosexual, have they own crib= the shed out back.

  • these guys must have liked thrash metal if theyve toured with anthrax and use slayers riff

  • @RATTTHEPUNK Rick Rubin was the common denominator

  • I love old P.E. and old Slayer, the good days....

  • this song is only complete with the tom araya AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWHHH

  • SLAAAAAYYEEERRRRRR !!!!!

  • SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome sample, never would of thought that i would hear slayer in a rap song.

  • @Metallideth34 ever hear awaiting the hour or stop fucking with me?

  • @Metallideth34 Slayer was on Def Jam...Rick signed them.

  • Slayer and PE, can it get any better?!?!?!?!

  • I love how they use the Angel of Death riff.

  • Rick Ruben knows skills when he hears it!

  • read a book or somethin

  • using slayer"s criminally insane for the song?

  • TV, FUCK OFF!

  • real metal + real rap = OUTSTADNING

  • im looking for this acapella for a remix

  • see, even rappers listen to SLAYER! \m/

  • Both Slayer and PE were produced by DefJam records.

  • SLAYER!!!!

  • slayer ?

  • The guitar riff is from Slayer's Angel of Death

  • FUCKIN AWESOME

  • jaja slayer's angel of death!!!!! good mix, i like it, but bring the noise with anthrax is the best jeje. \m/

  • I think Living Colour's Vernon laid guitar down on this song.

  • love that slayer sampling

  • love this tune bad ass riffs

  • Classic tune. Sad that the irony lies in the fact Flavor Flav now stars on channel zero.

  • i watched "channel zero" last friday!! hahahah hell yeah :)

  • Channel zero is metaphor television mind control

  • fuckin ruff asssss ryme

  • Slayer & PE, the heaviest of two worlds \m/

  • "2,7,5,4,8 she watched, she said all added up to zero, and nothing in her head". Public Enemy were so original. They must be one of the most sampled rap groups in history, particularly Nation Of Millions... Genius... Love ya Chuck!!

  • Pat Robetson watches Channel Zero.

  • SLAYER!! Sampled by Public Enemy!!! Amazing

  • fucking slayer

  • fucking slayer

  • PE in full effect brutha!!!

  • one of the best songs ever , history of rap

    Public Enemy number 1

  • @julianocorleone And, yes, it puts all the rock-rap outfits to shame.

  • Flav is hilarious. He probably has serious cash issues that make him doing that show a necessity.

He also did a reality show in England, i think it was about working on a farm or something.

PE are selling shares in their new album at sellaband.

  • when did rap go from public commentary to back the ass up....oh well whatever the public wants...lol, we need another good group like public enemy for this generation

  • @dovespin1 PE in effect, boyyyyyy! :D

  • @dovespin1...You preach the gospel!!! There is nothing out there like PE, X-Clan, or NWA anymore. Used to, you could find the topics of their songs in the editorial section of the newspaper. I think this gen is SOL!!

  • @monizzle22 there are still rap artists like that, its just that they are underground and wont see the light of day unless they have a gimmick. One be lo, Dead Prez, talib kweli, they keep it going in these present times

  • @dovespin1 There are plenty, but they'll never see the light of day. Real music is perpetually fucked as long as the mainstream garbage is still around.

  • The anger of a generation...

It took more than a nation of millions to hold them back

But apparently Flavor F.has this tacky reality TV show

Just seen a fragment and almost went blind

Why Flav, for God's sake why?????

  • He needs cash

  • Flippin' sell out

Won't he allow us the image of an integer man...

He just wound back his own clock till before ZERO

  • the 'faux channel' is a worm hole into the Limbaugh trash can

  • Comment removed

  • ANGEL OF DEAAAAAATH!!!!

  • @fourtoes12345 Monarch to the kingdom of the dead! Great sample!

  • you beauty for posting the original!...been looking for years!!! .YA BLIND BABY!! AWESOME!

  • this should be the Faux "News" channel theme song.

    They distort, you comply

They should just be called Fox527

  • Screw that. I think Public Enemy is hardcore. I watch Fox too. It's better than the shitty liberal comentators rooting for Obama all the time over at MSNBC.

  • PE is hard core and Chuck D is a hardcore liberal. He hosted a talk show on Air America radio for years. He'd tell you himself that Faux "News" is propaganda garbage.

  • SLAYER!!!!

  • @theRealbrando2393

Hang yourself fucking brainwashed neoNAZIcon!! Fox stands for all is wrong in this world!!

  • I would love to see public enemys faces the first time they herd SLAYERS song with Lyrcs before rick talked them into the song backing there shit LOL Better then Seeing Flav on Crack Priceless

  • This song is true, women watch such fucking shit on tv.

  • Slayer + Public Enemy is one hell of a mixture. Very nice.

  • This song make me wanna say motherfucker out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank Slayer lol SLAYER!!!!!1 \m/

  • thats fuckin funny

    me too

instead i take it to the gym or to my bmx

  • Chuck D is PISSED!!! Definitely one of the best MC's of all time.

As for the Slayer sample- both bands were on Def Jam/Def American...

    I think it works:)

  • This song is in Tony Hawks Downhill Jam and it got me into Public Enemy (and I'm white :P)

  • That's cool with it man, but being white doesn't have anything to do with it.

  • thats a slayer song in the background!

    omg lol

  • Angel Of Death, I Love It , This Song Is Awesome, Chuck D Is The MC, And Slayer Rocks

  • The song is like a freight train relentlessly bearing down on you. It was mandatory at any party I threw in the 90's. Fucking good times and a fucking awesome song! Too bad Flav sold out but Chuck D. still walks the walk.

  • @rhabdoviridae Co sign x 1million !! The music is like a freight train bearing down on you !

  • The classic breakdown riff from "Angel of Death". One of my fave riffs and it works real nice.

Channel Zero broadcast day the Angel of Death

Under blackended skies he leave the paralysed in a wreck

  • s1w forever

  • watching garbage on tv, yeah flav's show on VH1

  • fuckin awesome sample from an awesome hip hop crew... these modern hip POP wankers could learn a thing or two.. JAH BLESS PE!!

  • Awesome!!!They sampled Slayer's "Angel of Death"

  • that's what i say

  • I use to love public enemy, look at my profile and the music i listened to.. now i have little respect not for the whole group but flavour flave.. Watch Flavour of Life he totally ruined Public Enemy's Image.. Totally Ironic. how he gave in to coporate america which was totally NOT public enemy than PUBLIC ENEMY is stupid enough to go back with Flavour Flave and do concerts with him:S

    I LOST ALL MY RESPECT

  • yo bum rush the show could be considered the first one also

    along with straight outta compton
