  • in the King James Acts 7:45 the truth comes out. The scripture reads: Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles... notice Jesus name is mentioned. In all other translations the name is Joshua. Further if you look at the greek "Jesus" and Joshua have the same exact spelling. I believe it is because His name is Yeshua .

  • Those who cling to 'sacred names' should take time out to read 'Foxe's Book of Martyrs'. For had it not been for those brave saints, then they wouldn't be reading any Bible at all, with the exception of course, of them becoming a Roman Catholic priest and reading the Bible in Latin.

  • so many people love to argue and fight, dont you think satan is getting a kick out of the saviors children among all fighting. I dont think that the lord loves me less for saying his name translated in english, i think that as long as I know whom He is and what He did and why He did for me and everyone is what truely matters,His name is Jesus in english, I dont speak hebrew, so am i to be judged for not speaking hebrew,

  • For a better explanation see Mark Manning at Messengerofthename, its his research but all pans out when checked and part of that comes from the Torah. You really have to use history, a little hebrew and original scriptures old and new. But most obviously what YAHUWAH said about his name and also what his son Yahushua said. Pray to the father in MY NAME! YAHUWAH said that the messiahs name was set apart and made holy and how many Yahushua's do any of you know? Satan can't use the name of Yahushua

  • If you are looking for the truth about the names then you have to go back to the oldest text in order to be safe and remember that the letter J is only about 400 years old and before Jesus the translation was Iesous and now you van see the addition of part of the name Zeus that was added to maker the first tranlation sound more masculine and no matter because it is not the name of the messiah, Yahushua is his name !

  • "" These texts were translated from the Greek, but It can be argued that the Aramaic speakers who used this name had a continual connection to the Aramaic-speaking apostles+disciples of Jesus, and thus were able to accurately preserve the actual name used .""

  • "An argument in favor of the Hebrew form ישוע Yeshua is that the Old Syriac Bible (c. 200 AD) and the Peshitta preserves this same spelling using the equivalent Aramaic letters ܝܫܘܥ (Yēšū‘)=IESHU to the Hebrew letters of Yeshua.

This is still the spelling and pronunciation used in the West Syriac dialect, today, whereas East Syriac has rendered the pronunciation of the same letters Išô""‘ISHOO..IMAGINE THAT! in the same language!.

  • NOONe KNOWs, from Hebrew we have >Yeshua ,Ye-ho-shua(old form with -ho- taken out.but not in all names)or rarely ,Yoshua(englJoshua ..so again Y =J)

    ,

""Clement of Alexandria and St. Cyril of Jerusalem considered the Greek form Iesous(=IISU) to be the original,Eusebius related it to the Greek root meaning "to heal" thus a variant of Jason meaning healer".

Jason = Iason so AGAIN J=I like in Jesus=Iisus So it was common that the- I- that sounds like in YEllow becomes gr>I, hebr> Y engl> J

  • Mary and Joseph didn't name their baby Jesus. This is a pagan name derived from the Greek name Zeus which is a pagan God and Mary and Joseph were Hebrew! Yahushua is his name! YAHUWAH is the fathers name and as you can see the father is in the son and the son in the father! The Catholic Church(Prophetic Scarlet Whore is responsible for the deception) . Please adjust yourselves accordingly ! Shalom!

  • @QUICKIRONS Jesus does not derive or sound like greek name/god ZeusSo .Now you are held responsible for that deception if you didnt actually take time to look up how the name sounds

.Is the catholic church responsible for english language? His name in Latin is not Jesus, but you didnt look that up either did you? Greek ,for Zeus = ZEFS(,with final -s being linked 2masculine ARTICLE "the")// Zef s -Jeezas sound similar?

    Jesus in Latin -- Greek

  • The Latin forms derive from Greek Ἰησοῦ

    Nominative Iesus ( - Ιησους / Iēsous )

    Genitive Iesu (-- Ιησου)

    Dative Iesu

    Accusative Iesum

    Vocative Iesu

The oblique form, Iesu., came to be used in Middle English(110-1400)": John Wycliffe (1380s), who spells the name Jhesus, does use Jhesu in oblique cases, and also in the accusative..."

"Tyndale in the 16th century has the occasional IESU in oblique cases and in the vocative; The 1611 KJV uses IESUS throughout, regardless of syntax."!!!

  • @QUICKIRON

CAn you plz now tell us your SOURCES?Proof about Jesus name ??His name was written IN GREEK, and from THAT text they translated it in ARAMAIC,( SISTER language of Hebrew)

"The original Greek of the New Testament uses the name Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous), a RENDITION of the Hebrew Yeshua."

"pronounciation yodh , tsere>, a long e as in "neighbor" ...Thus, it is pronounced something like yay-SHOO-a`.

Latin church, did nothing, how did YOU come up with YAHASHUA?

  • So you're basically saying that it's ok to call the Messiah by a name other than what YHVH commanded Miriam to call him. So... human convenience trumps God's commandments?

  • My name is “Bising” in Malay Language meaning “Loud” so will you have the right to translate my name and call me “Mr. Loud” or you refer to me as “Mr Bising” if so than you are explaning my name rather than addressed me, i.e ( from Noun to Verb). Thus what justification of translating the meaning Yeshua when refering to Yeshua.

  • i agree with you that it isnt immportant to use the original hebrew but one thing is that the original name for jesus in hebrew was actually Yashuah but the hebrews beleieved the name to be to holy so they changed it to Yeshuah which altered the pronouncing of the name from joshua to jeshuah which is why the greek called him iesus if they had still pronounced his name with the YA sound they would have spelt and pronounced his name as Iasus or ee ah sus which is why english it is jesus

  • You know, I am sick and tired of most christians changing the word of G-d and doing their own thing. They change the sabbath and worship Him on sunday (a pagan custom which means the sun-god worship) instead of Friday night sundown to Satuday sundown. Then they say, "it's okay, as long as He knows we worship Him." Then worship HIM on the Sabbath. then another one is, "Oh He died so we don't have to obey the laws." John 14:15 IF YOU LOVE ME, YOU WILL OBEY MY COMMANDMENTS!!!!

  • Further more, “On that day of judgment,”says the Lord, "I will punish all those following pagan customs."

(Zephaniah 1:8) It's the same for christmas. Its pagan and we should not compromise with it.

Friends, the Messiah was not English, He was a Hebrew man who’s name was Yeshua. Do you respect Him enough to call Him by His given name? Or do you seek to do what is easiest for you or more agreeable to society?

Do not be a servant of man, but a servant to the MOST HIGH GOD!!!!!!!

  • his name is actually YHWH or Yahweh meaning I am. It explains itself from there on out

  • Praise be too Yeshua Ha Mashiach

  • JER 23:26,27......2 TIM 2:15

    The name matters!!

True Heavenly names YHWH & YESHUA

The counterfiett names of Babylon jehovah & jesus man made names

Yeshua Loves you yes i Know!! Yahwehs = (YHVH) tells me so!!

  • You know if i was a father and i told my sons my name was Yeshua and they kept calling me jesus i would have to ignore them till they eventually got it correct, its the only way to punish my babies, pronouncation is important satan wants to decieve and lie, satan does not want the most high YHVH to have any praise nor his SON YESHUA so for centuries hes being busy corrupting YHVH s WORDS you NIV and most other modern translations are proof of satans work 1611 KJV bible infaliable word of YHVH

  • @Anthony2OK - You know, I cannot agree with anyone who believes that by calling Him jesus that it is ok. You say it is okay, as long as He knows we are calling on Him right? Wrong! I'll explain so you can understand. Do you know what compromise is? I am sure you do, but just to be sure, I'll say it anyway. It means to come in to a settlement between one's differences. Yeshua does not compromise and He won't compromise with pagan customs. The early Christians refused to compromise with paganism.

  • @Anthony2OK - Further more, “On that day of judgment,”says the Lord, "I will punish all those following pagan customs."

  • @Anthony2OK - This has absolutely nothing to do with you speaking English or Hebrew! It is the name He was given at birth. Just like you were given the name Anthony. You would not respond if someone called you Ramond, I am sure. And the name jesus isn't even an English name and has no meaning behind it. The English name is Joshua. The angel of the L-rd said that He would be called, "Savior", "He Saves", or "Salvation." jesus doesnt mean any of those. Look it up. Respect the name He was given.

  • Comment removed

  • @Anthony2OK - You do NOT have to know Hebrew to be saved. But when you're asking for salvation, you should know whom you are calling upon. My name is Jason, I will not respond to another name. The same goes with calling on the Messiah. He may be the Messiah and all knowing, but it is also respect and the fact that He has not changed His name. Even among different cultures, one should research and learn this. Even in a poor country, people are learning about the Jewish Messiah.

  • Not all sounds are part of every language. There are many sounds (technical term: phonemes) that are very difficult for you and I to make. For example, try saying many of the sounds of Chinese. Also try starting a word with the letters "ng." How would you say it? You can't in English! Yes, in other languages your name is Candice, but in other languages, they change your name slightly to fit the phonological rules of their own language - for example they may change the stress on your name.

  • J IZ NOT IN THE ORIGINAL HEBREW WHICH HAS BEEN CORRUPTED BY TODAYS SO CALLED JEWS WIT THEIR LITTLE SATANIST FLAG LOL AND YOU RIGHT ON OUR HEARTS MS.

  • J IZ NOT IN THE ORIGINAL HEBREW WHICH HAS BEEN CORRUPTED BY TODAYS SO CALLED JEWS WIT THEIR LITTLE SATANIST FLAG LOL

  • HOSEA 4:6 is why

  • We are not talking about the same person. Yehsua and Jesus are two different people, one the Savior of the those who are written in the Lamb's book of life, the other an imposter. If you're familiar with the scriptures , you would know that names have meanings. Jacob's name was changed to Israel. Saul's name was turned to Paul's. Why, because there was a significance to the name. The name " Jesus has no meaning. However, the name Yeshua Hamashiach means, Salvation, the Messiah.

  • @techsupportguy101 Well said! I thought I would have to say something, but you did it for me already! G-d bless you!

  • You have been deceived. In addition to your research you should have discovered that the letter J was not coined until 1000AD. There is no J sound in the Hebrew, Aramaic, archaic and classical Latin or Greek.

  • @techsupportguy101 There is no difference if using J, that we talk about the same person, God's Son..in our languages. for an example , a baby cannot say the full english properly, he d say Pa pa... Dada.. we know he talks about his dad...same person..the same thing is with J, we cannot say but it helps us say the better word along with J, God knows when we mention of the name , we talk about Him. God knows our hearts as truly...stop judging people for the letter... just like the baby says....

  • @techsupportguy101 explain the name "jacob" Josiah" "jeremiah" "joshua" many many more in the bible. and even the term "Jew" Your just going off some disinfo probably that came out of the babylonian jews who were brainwashed when they were taken into exile in nebuchadnezzars time. Gods name is Jehovah and his sons name is jesus which means jehovah is savior. End of story

  • @bubber25 What are the Hebrew versions of those names? The bible was not written in english.

  • @techsupportguy101 Yes His name does matter. If my name is Sherry in english it certainly isn't Judy in Spanish. Call me by any other name in the street and I guarantee that I will not answer....keep seeking the truth and you WILL find it....

  • @Imstressless You miss a point.. In the example, my name is Lisa but in Germany, they call me Lissa, means the same.if in Japan, they d say much different in their own languages , i respect their languages.. dont forget that God made all the nations' languages-MANY! God made them! These languages have the same meanings of the specific things , just different languages. God understands our langauges when we call Him, God knows our truuly hearts that love Him.

  • @lgrimeau Not all words have the same meaning in different languages. You obviously don't speak another language. Languages were a result of what happened at the tower of babylon. I can assure you that 'jesus' and 'Yahushuah' DO NOT MEAN the same. If we are so true in our hearts, then we will let go of the dark paganism, and honor and respect the true Son of Elohim. 'jesus' is an extention of zeus, born on dec 25. This is the time to Repent.

  • @Imstressless You miss a point.. In the example, my name is Lisa but in Germany, they call me Lissa, means the same.if in Japan, they d say much different in their own languages , i respect their languages.. dont forget that God made all the nations' languages-MANY! • @lgrimeau Hi Lisa! My name is LaRhonda. In other dialects it may be pronounced different. Larinda, Lauranda, but the name doesn't completely change. It may be pronounced with a different accent, but I'm not going to be given a totally different name by someone because it's hard for them to pronounce my name. We try to be respectful of each other. If it's easier for you to pronouce my nickname which is Roni then fine, by all means. I go by that too. So, is Jesus one of His nick names? ........

  • @lgrimeau ...i'm honestly not trying to be funny or rude, but if I'm going to approach Him I want to at least get His name right, u know? Especially if there is no other name under heaven given by men wherby we must be saved...Names are important to God...He changed a lot of peoples names in the bible...so must be something strong about a persons name

  • @Imstressless

You are a 1000 percent correct! His name does matter, its the only name that will save you, that's blatant disrespect to call someone by another name. Thank G-d i am not a Christian, you folks dont even care to know the name of the Man you claim to follow, how sad.

  • @Imstressless well the sound SH does not exist in greek,so weather u liked it or not ppl would call you Sery(even the -erry would sound a bit different because of the lack of double rr )Jesus and Yesu are the SAME name in different tongues .

Sometimes yes they are quite different ,for ex. John, Jan Iannis/notice than in english sounds( J=)G in french( J=)Z in greek I .that I sounds exactly like the YE from YESHUA .thats probasbly why is J<Jesus

  • @techsupportguy101 first english bible was YESUS, second was Jesus .perhaps both sounded the same in english back then,It was nothing done on purpose.Maybe ppl later read

J as a G ,.Is difficult 2 break a habbit.like the days of the week, which still mean names of gods Catholic church tried2 impose new ones but ppl were used to them.

  • An introductory course to linguistics reveals the answer. Langauge change is normal. Language is changing all the time. You wouldn't beleive what some of our words used to be. The change from Yeshua to Jesus is the same.

  • @spreadthegospel There is a big difference between language and the name. Names never change language does. I have been around many cultures and nation. My name is candice and my name does not change be it Chinese, English, Spanish, etc etc. I am still called candice. The characters might change but I am still candice.

  • Yeshua/Yahushua and Jesus are NOT the same! "sheeple"(sheep/People) cattle, the Illuminati/NWO system est. 5/1/1776 by Adam Weishaupt (Religion, Politics, Media, Food, Entertainment.etc.) the evil & the elite has deceived you! Wake up from your deep slumber. unplug from this Satanic system & seek YHWH! Look up William Cooper/ Alex Jones/ Fritz Springmeier/ John Todd/ Jordan Maxwell/ David Icke!

    Break Free from the lies!

  • "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 7:21) I'm sure that these people will actually say / enounce the PROPER, and SACRED name of God. But, to no avail. The HEART is what needs cleansing, not the vocalizations of the mouth. Thank GOD for His "UNSPEAKABLE GIFT", the risen Lord Jesus Christ and His work of REDEMPTION, on the CROSS for SALVATION, once and for all. (HEB 10:10)

  • @JONAH222NCSGAZ Clicked the wrong button. I do not agree with you whatsoever with as far as name. I do not answer to a different name other than candice. You are correct we need our heart to change.

  • @JONAH222NCSGAZ I AGREE BUT NOT THE NAME HOW U GET A J FROM "ORIGINAL" HEBREW NOT THE HEBREW THOSE FAKE JEWS GOT PLEASE LET ME KNOW

  • It seems that these present-day Yeshua people are similar to Paul before he became a Christian, who stated that at that time I too was convinced that I ought to do all that was possible to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth (Acts 26:9).

  • Luke 23:38

[38] And a superscription also was written over him in letters of GREEK, and LATIN, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

    John 19:19-20

[19] And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

[20] This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and GREEK, and LATIN.

GOD ALLOWED HIS NAME WRITTEN IN OTHER LANGUAGES PROOF THROUGH SCRIPTURE!

  • ENOUGH WITH "YESHUA" And "YAHWEH" its Yahuwah AND Yahuwshuwa, if you want "Proof" and soild arguements check my page for more info. Yahweh means jupiter and Yeshua is a accronym wich the jewish pharisee's did, wich means May his name be blotted out for ever.

  • Yeshua is close to the Savior's name, but it deletes the Father's name out of it. The shortened and poetic form of Yahweh is Yah, like the shortened form of Donald is Don. Yahshua is correct.

  • I agree. When we say Halleluyah, we are NOT saying "Praise the Lord". We are saying "Praise Yah", and using the short form of Yahweh. In Hebrew Yahshua's name means "Yah is salvation", NOT "the Lord is Salvation". Lord is very generic. It can be used for any land owner. According to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, Yah means "self-exhistant, from everlasting". That's not just ANY lord. That's the Almighty. Why not call upon him by his REAL

  • ...NAME? I agree.

  • Yes, I meant God's REAL name, Yahweh (I hit "Post Comment" too soon by mistake and couldn't change it.). Isaiah 52:6 says "My people shall know my name" (KJV). If you ask little children who go to mainstream Sunday schools what God's name is, most likely they will tell you it's Jesus. In Strong's Concordance we find that the word "LORD" (in all caps) has replaced God's name almost 7000 times in the KJV! And then we call Yahshua "Lord" too. Such confusion!!!

  • When a group of race conquer the world they make u worship there Gods.....you can have ur Jesus that was made up in the late 1700's ....I'll keep my savior Yahshua and my Creator Yahweh.... they are not the same as Jesus and God...thats what u were told and brainwash to believe......u have free will to worship whoever u please,,,,Peace

  • That what was brought to Greece by apostles of the Christ and that they have established there column of belief of the Christ there is the most truthful belief.

  • 2000 years ago the name of Eshua Mashiah has been rejected and all its disciples and followers have been beaten. Jews have not accepted a name of Eshua as the Messiah. Apostles, that are as friends, preached the gospel in ancient Greece, they are and have written the New Testament the first in the Greek language. And divine service conducted in the Greek language eulogising Jesus-Ιησους.

  • Certainly, the mess with names speaks also that in the first century of our era when Jeshua of veins among people, the Greek language was international language. As Israel was one of the territories occupied by Rome, the Greek language became also its official state language.

  • well people call him Jesus i dont,,,,,,the name Jesus came from Hey Zeus,,,why u think Jesus name is spell the same way in spanish but pronounced diffrently/...Zeus was a pagan god that were worship by the europeans...they impose there belief onto africans to be save by Jesus-Zeus these names are the same and no one seems to care about who they really worshipping by calling Jesus......read more scripture and u will find out

  • The answer is extremely simple. Both names are the presents. Jesus is Greek equivalent of the Jewish name of Ieshua. Greeks don't have letter «SH» (as at Jews), therefore while translating this name has changed. The Christ is too the Greek equivalent ga-Mashiyah that in transfer from Hebrew "anointed sovereign" means.
