  • What happen to tigerdiect in reviewing video cards?

  • on box there is written classic, thats why it has parallel port

  • this thing is old fashioned as shit looking

    Parallel, seriously :P

  • how much

  • $80 on newegg.

  • whot the fuck is still using the VGA-Port?!

and for what do we need a parallel Port?

INTEL WE ARE LIVING IN THE YEAR 2009!

    NOW 1999!!

  • you can use the parallel ports for a printer

VGA is good, i still use a 22" LCD monitor with VGA

  • @HackerL96

VGA uses analog technology, which, in general,

transmits a much bader picture than digital technology.

    DVI > VGA

  • I still use it because I have an old monitor, even my new monitor I'm buying next week still uses VGA.

It's not old fashioned, DVI is only for people that need high resolutions, your average gamer like me still uses VGA for that reason, I'm not an obsessive, I do not need to buy the most highend hardware, so I dont need the resolutions

  • It's not an enthusiasts board, made for compatibility you twat.

Sure replacing one printer is fine for a home user, but consider a company with thousands of printers.

  • Alot of people still use VGA fool. I still use CRT over LCD.

  • Oh dear!

  • @tugfngjfuvj VGA ports are still usable. A lot of monitors still have VGA as an option, right next to DVI.

And as far as I can tell, there's no big difference between DVI and VGA.

Feel free to explain the difference to me.

  • I'm using a 24" inch LCD that only has a VGA port.

I've heard that DVI is better, but how much i don't know.

I'm happy with my 24" inch, except all newer cards have a DVI standard. They only bring an adapter with them.

  • DVi is digital, vga is analog, you can't see the difference, but DVI has a faster response time

  • Ah. I see.

Well, I still say VGA is useful, because the difference between the 2 isn't so humongous as to only think that DVI is best.

  • The difference of tf the response times is so tiny, you dont even notice it.

It only counts if you use an flatscreen.

Then the difference should be 0,5 to 2 seconds.

  • DVI uses digital signals to transmit the signals to the monitor.

digital signals are much more resistant to electro magnetic interference from other devices (like DVD-player, radios etc....) than analog signals, like the ones VGA is using.

So, in general, you get a much better picture by using DVI than VGA.

  • that's one small ass board....

  • dang

  • nice

  • @nofyt

    this is a bad board.

This board is outdatet since like 5 years.

better get a MSI/Asus/ASRock/Foxconn etc board

  • @tugfngjfuvj just wanted the first comment XD. And yes i knew that, im interested in computer you know. :)

  • ok =)
