She seems to have quite the ability to draw out a song...almost into another dimension, to give the individual time to think and reflect. For this particular song (and cover), I might prefer the Doors; however, I appreciate, very much, Shirley's talent and effort.

Grew up not knowing this lady existed. Was aware of Bond movies just not the singers in them. I have to say, after hearing quite a number of Shirley's songs - especially when she sings standards - she has to be the # 1 female singer ever, anywhere PERIOD! What a voice, 50 years ago and today - truly remakable. My favorite male vocalist is an upcoming standards singer James De Frances, this barotone crooner has some pipes and stage presence. Keep singing Shirley! Maybe a duet?@#$%
