  • This is my first Supra in this video. The headlights are the first gen of this style, I am now on the 3rd gen and I am still refining them. To see a more recent (but still out of date version) look up Adam's J1 Supra in the tunedbypsi channel. I have since built another (87). Some people like these headlights, some don't. Not everyone likes them and that's fine with me.

  • Brilliant car ;). I've got one but your head lights... Really ugly. Stock are much better :).

  • hahah thats freekin sweet! sweeet car

  • Damn when you launched it look like your shit was about to do a backflip! sick haha toyota all day, I got a 3sgte mr2

  • ehh, didnt you custom fitted those head lights yourself??

you did a nice job on those.

  • just weld da diff 2gether m8t

  • Really really bad idea. Doing so can lead to a major disaster. The best thing is to just rebuild the diff. Toyota Supra diff's are extremely strong (especially the TRD ones) and last a very long time. They don't really fail until after 20 years of hard abuse. I know this because my friend is the original owner of his 90 Supra and has ran most of those years at 500 RWHP and it's just now becoming worn enough to be rebuilt.

  • Lock that diff. it makes it 5 times as fun.

  • That requires rebuilding the diff since you can't manually lock it. My diff was just worn out.

  • Im looking for a 1jz to stuff in my 88 supra.. Nice man, and love the flushmounts.

  • Thanks. I've since upgraded to an 87 chassis that's perfect and have upgraded the flushmounts and gone single turbo. If you're on SupraMania or Supra411, I'm on both under the user name honestabe

  • Nope, im on car domain tho, SupraCory.. if youve got one.

  • is it twin turbo? or single

  • It was on the stock twins when this vid was taken

  • Hey Buddy, nice vid *****

Could you tell me please where did you get the front light conversion? i was looking for that a long time but couldnt find it. thx in advance, pm me, greetz

  • What do you mean clips? And how are you able to run a 1jz with it being illegal?

  • A clip is the front or rear half-cut of a car. I am able to run my motor because I am smart about it and don't live in an area where they ask you to pop the hood for "illegal" mods.

  • wait do u mean the 1jz is illegal, i didnt kno that, y is it?

  • The 1JZ is illegal since it wasn't offered in any USDM car. You may be lucky enough to live in a state that doesn't care about what motor you have, but I highly doubt that it is legal anywhere in the U.S. Maybe in Alabama?

  • really i never knew that, i hav a ma70 and was lookin to do a 1jz swap, and i live in ohio so ill hav to look into that

  • Unless the cops in the area are dicks and ask you to pop your hood or the DEQ guys actually inspect your motor for "illegal" mods like they do in California you will be fine.

  • well they are dicks lol, but i doubt they will ask me if they can inspect under the hood, but they did say my car was too loud once and they looked 2 c if i had a cat, and well u kno, i didnt haha, but where is the best place to find a 1jz complete motor and tranny swap, cheapest one i found was 2600 on ebay

  • Fuck Ebay. Go to Supramania and you will find all the info you need. As far as getting the motor and tranny, try Driftmotion, Kaizen Motorsports, or Jarco. Although I would highly recommend Driftmotion and Kaizen Motorsports. Supramania is the forum I post on all the time. Lots of resources on there, both parts and knowledge.

  • alrite thanx man, by the way nice ride, very clean, and a nice sleeper... i hate riced out cars, especially hondas lol

  • sounds like your water pump has had it

  • No, that would be my power steering pump being deprived of fluid. My PS resevoir had some dirt in it that was preventing the fluid from going to the pump.

  • my bad man wicked skid btw!!!!!!!!im gonna let my baby loose soon

  • How do you deal with emission checks with the 1jz? I heard they are an illegal motor in the US. I am debating on a 7m or a 1jz because i found a 1jz with a manual transmission and EVERYTHING i will need for a swap. With a 7mgte all i can find is the motor with no ecu or wiring harness.

  • As far as the 1J being illegal, yes it is. But last I checked there are a couple dozen 1J's in the U.S., although now you can't buy clips anymore like I did.

  • they dont care about it in PA...ive had my swap for over a year now...cops dont even care lol

  • They will... they're starting to crack down. In a couple years we wont even be able to swap engines. What part of PA are you from?

  • you can still buy front clips..hell my shop just ordered mine from japan and they shipped it over on boat lol

  • suprafreak1990 you taped over the holiday vid at the falls!Youll be in trouble. Worthit nice skid

  • My friend who video taped me playing around used one of his old tapes he didn't care about.

  • Nah once again nice supra, great skid and those custom lights are cool!

  • flush headlights look awkward IMO. Looks good though!

  • Flushmounts aren't for everyone. I've fallen in love with them though. Pop-ups don't look right on the MKIII's body lines.

  • IMO lazy/sleepy eyes look best. have you ever seen a supra with oldschool soarer front end? aka Soapra. Now thats sick!

  • I know an awesome mechanic who made a Soapra and was recently drifted at SILV by a professional drifter for a demonstration. Jose Valle FTW!!!

  • yea whered ya get them headlights they r sweet

  • The headlights are custom built. Only a small handful of people have them. If you want a set, you have to build them yourself.

  • were did u get those lghts?

  • a 1J in a Triuph? Man that thing's gotta haul some serious ass.

  • i have this engine into a triumph tr7.what a monster banzaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • your sawblades are on backwards.

  • I know. I had my roommate get my tires mounted for me because I was busy, and I told him that the wheels and tires were directional, but he still messed up. The sawblades are gone now, I now have the 91-92 5-spokes.

  • i like the supra and i love the sound of the turbo`s

    :)

  • this is a real burnout

  • Thank you. It got a little exciting when I saw the fire truck pull up. Luckily they didn't see me.

  • vlsd ftl

  • VERy funny bro haha

  • 1jz's and 2jz's rock
