this is amazing, I'm 15 and just went through rock but fuck, thrash from this period is amazing, real original, fantastic. 21st century can suck my balls
I bought this on cassette back in 1992. I still have the tape and it's in great shape but I have nothing to play it on, The CD has been out of print for years here in America since Relativity stopped being a metal/rock label. But, last week, a friend of mine found this for me and I've been listening to it non stop. I am very lucky.
Layne was so into the scene supporting all the local talent...always Saw him and Jerry at shows...As for Forced...man I miss these days. Hands down the best trash metal band ever...
Anyone know what happened to this sweet North West thrash band..........These guys wrote timeless tunes....that have and always will be close to my metal heart!!
Brad Hull here to tell EVERYONE to subscribe to my Son Rileys channel! He is one of the up and coming guitar players in this generation and i want everyone who supports what I do, to support him as well. PERIOD! He is a Hull if you didn't know.
Yes. My Father Brad and I recorded a new album as of 2009 entitled LSDiablo. I played guitar along with my friend Aaron Goff who is an amazing player as well. My Dad played Bass guitar on the album along with Paul Marshall on Drums..
As far as the solo videos go, I have posted live video and my all new Betcha Can't Play This lick of the week. Thank you so much for keeping my family name alive. We greatly appreciate it!
@RileyHull woah woah woaaahhh man! u must be the shit eh?? haha dude i had no idea forced entry still played! and by our new album do u mean ur in it too?? if yes what instrument do u play? and what do u mean solo vids of riffs n solos??
Back in the day i was a HUGE Forced Entry fan. then one night when i was a teen they were playing at the Capitol Theater in Olympia Washington. They apparently weren't being payed or payed enough. so they botched the show and played like shit on purpose. for ever ruining my first Forced Entry show experience. Sucked ass let me tell you what a let down.
Brad, Colin, and Tony.....you guys are severely missed around the Seattle music scene!!! We'll always love everything you did! Sincerely, the long, blonde-haired, Schmidt-drinkin' bastard!
I never really noticed it before, but this song kind of reminds me of Metallica....up until the part at 2:25 at least. Still, a very good fucking band that should of made a bigger splash on the scene.
@Metalpefki There cd As Above So Below came out when Combat was in disarray. They got lost in the shuffle and weren't properly supported by the label. It's a good cd luckily I still have the cassette version.
these guys went to my high school, I watched them practice in a shed behind one of their parents houses shortly before their last album came out - trippy to see one of their video's here.
Great song from their 2nd cd ...it was awesome seeing Forced Entry live with Sacred Reich & Obituary in Providence in '90...excellent show ...Fuck off or I'll kill you!!!!!
didn't think that this would come back so hard 20 yrs later did yuh brad, well guess what man it was well deserved! congrats man hope xmas was kick ass for you guys
I will say from experience that acquiring FE albums these days is no mean feat. I managed to get "As Above, So Below" and "Uncertain Future" through trolling pawn shops on a nightly basis, but most folks actually have a life. :)
Unrelated thought: I hear that they released an EP in the 90's called 'The Shore' that was a total Machine Head rip-off. Anyone heard it?
Haha, that'd be no easy feat as we recorded The Shore at Big Music (Seattle)in the Summer of '93, and Machinhead's first album "Burn My Eyes" Wasn't released until the Summer of '94
the omega order (dot) com has both Forced Entry CDs (and EP included with the first). I bought all of the Combat re-releases from them like Exodus, Forbidden & Dark Angel.
MAn, I miss the Emerald City. Saw these guys live in 89 i think? Saw AIC play Natasha's before Facelift hit it big. The best was Nirvana opeing up for the Melvins. Oh yeah...old school sickness. Heavy chit that'll shred the heart of beginners. haha Ahhh...I don't need the re-issues...I got all the originals. *timeless*
You are correct Zuke. They were all friends way back in the day and I believe even to this day they are still friends. Jerry and my Dad are friends for sure. Be sure to pick up the new re-release of this album "As Above, So Below"
It contains all new liner note from my Dad as well which I kind of helped a little bit on too:) It's a good fuckin re-release.
@LsdRileyhull -Tell Your Dad And His Crew Thank You So Much For Recording An Album That Was So Far Ahead Of Its Time In Aggression, Musicanship, And Orginality. I First Saw This Vid In Back In 1992 On "Headbanger's Ball" (And I'm Glad To See I'm Not The Only One That Remembers It). I Still Have The CD And It Still Obliterates Shit To This Day. Great Album From A Great Band That Should Have Been More Famous Than What They Were...
I can't be certain but it also looks like Jerry Cantrell and Mike Starr are cameo appearances as well. Look again at only the B&W parts. Curious as to how or why they ended up in this video because they are just clowning around. Funny though!
Brad Hull's in a new band called LS Diablo, based out of Spokane, WA. Saw them last night down here in Kennewick, and they are just as brutally heavy as this.
Forced Entry never got the recognition they deserved from the 'labels' and the music 'industry', so they didn't get the exposure and promotion-this was before MySpace and the internet. The more I listen to Forced, the better and better they sound to me, even now. In fact, they were better then than 99% of the bands today.
If you want to see more, check out L.S.Diablo, with Brad on BASS and his son Riley kicking ass on guitar-must run in the family. Also Paul Marshall and AAron Goff.
Glad to hear that people still appreciate how talented these guys are. 8 finger hammer-on?? and singing at the same time??? Watch closely, Brad is amazing. This cd is still in my player all the time, NEVER get sick of raw talent. My 4 year old says " Forced Entry Rules daddy!"
did I mention that I accidentally taped this on headbangers ball one night and thats how i found out about the band....this song is inspirational to people who just love to rock-period
you know one of those songs that makes you pissed at the world regardless of whether or not you know why!
you guys need to tell the truth-its a trainwreck on your fuckin head and thats why people love it-the thing that separates it from nine tenths of the bands in that day is that the guitar playing wasn't being dictated by some producer and there was actually some substance to the lyrics
These guys are truly underrated. Not only are they extrememly talented musicians and great songwriters, you can't find them anywhere! I typed in Forced Entry on google, and all I got was some damn movies.
Seriously, one of the best songs EVER! After 15+ years of hearing it, I never get enough. And thankfully, I can call Brad a friend...one of the coolest guys/muscians you're going to meet.
@tralynnwright I agree!!!! I never get tired of it myself. i like a lot of todays music, but I always find myself going back to a certain handful of bands from this era and Forced is one of the tops!!
I'm glad people are hearing Brad's kill riffing. He was a big inspiration to us Pacific Northwesterners. Make sure to buy their album when its re-released!!!!!!!
When the hell are they going to up load "unrest they find" or anysong from as above so below.... AS OF YESTERDAY I HAVE BEEN FORSAKEN !!! this band rocks i know brad hull has a new band just type "brad hull" he rocks !

I recently pulled out my CD of Uncertain Future. I play it at work and drive my much younger co-worker crazy with Octoclops. I learned this song on guitar back in the day from front to back. "Forced Entry" and Toronto's "Sacrifice" are two of the most underrated metal bands of all time. Cheers from Ontario.
Do i sence a bit Grunge influence, kinda cool. I haven't heard of this band before yesterday, and just WOW!!!! but i can't seem to find alot of information on them. i found a page which said the bassist did the vocals??? but here it seems like the guitarist sings.....so WHO SINGS???? i also found another page which said the bassist did the main vocals, and the guitarist did extra vocals.....so do they shift???
The guitarist did the vocals for two of their songs, while the bassist did the rest of the songs. As for the grunge influence, this band released this song a little bit before Grunge made it's mark on the world. Forced Entry could very well have been influencing Grunge music, because they did live in seattle after all.
damn... i totally looked passed the fact... Grunge from pacific northwest this band is from the pacific northwest. And did come out before grunge came into play.
BRAD IS THE LEAD GUITARIST and vocals, t. benjamin is the bass and lead vocals the drummer i think his name is colen mason i 4got. you should listen to their albums.. I got the link to one of the albums if you want i can hook you up... but only for uncertain future for as above so below it is real hard to get a hold of it.
Thanks man, and I do know you are the real Brad Hull, I've messaged you on myspace, and you've replied to me with legitimate answers. This guy is the real deal, and his son is right about L.S. Diablo. Brad Hull you're the man.
However, we are on the verge of writing some of the best shit we've done as musicians. L.S.Diablo's other guitar player is formerly of the Spokane act, Catacomb. The drummer is Paul Marshall of SOBLIVIOS.
a great and moving song by another unappreciated metal band pleez people show the record companies what you want with the power of your hard earned cash thank you stay true!
Mininova has one with three albums on it, it says 2 seed 2 leech but I've been waiting for about 5 hrs now for it to start. That's the only one I know of, Pirate and T.Portal come up blank. Good luck, let me know if you're successful... Kawtoom
So much better than what Seattle is known for--pearl jam and nirvana. These guys were great in the Seattle scene in the late 80's early 90's. If anyone has a vid of "Bone Crackin Feaver" please post it.

Thanks man, and I do know you are the real Brad Hull, I've messaged you on myspace, and you've replied to me with legitimate answers. This guy is the real deal, and his son is right about L.S. Diablo. Brad Hull you're the man.
Eyxi 3 years ago
Yeah, No fakes here, brothers.
However, we are on the verge of writing some of the best shit we've done as musicians. L.S.Diablo's other guitar player is formerly of the Spokane act, Catacomb. The drummer is Paul Marshall of SOBLIVIOS.
