Obama's Health Care Attempt, Will it hurt or help american populous. . . ? American view points have to be heard! Goto my tube channel page and find out more!
Yes, her story was so very touching. And it just goes to show how important the entire birth experience is for mother and baby and that it has long term effects.
I am interested in becoming a CPM, and was wondering if anyone could tell me how much/what type of schooling is required to become a CPM in the US. If anyone can tell me just message me on my account!!
It depends where ur located. Some states allow direct-entry midwifery but in many states this is illegal. In that case u'd need to 1st become an RN (registered nurse) and then get your masters in nursing under the midwifery track. The length of time varies. A high schooler entering a nursing program and receiving their BSN (bachelors in nursing) in about 4 yrs could then apply to get their masters as a midwife which may take another 2 yrs.
If som1 has their associates degree as an RN then they could go the RN-BSN route and then get a masters. Or there is the Frontier School of Midwifery which offers an RN-MSN program where u take bridge classes to help cover the extra BSN info
anyway if ur in a state which allows direct-entry midwifery then u could skip the BSN and go straight to midwifery but it'd be illegal for u to work in a number of states
i'm also interested in becoming a CNM but i'm at the very beginning stages yet
