20y ago a volkwagen owner used to put 50% water in his gas tank, here in Brazil. A local newspaper did a article on him. There were some metalic tubes running from the fuel tank to the exhaust pipes and back. I remember I thought that this invention was 'The future'. What happened? Not only on Youtube but all throughout the Net, people are swearing that this thing works, and they are saying that it is (relatively) easy to put together. This a weird story. Looks like his technology has some truth to it, but true or not, why should he be kept drugged up in a mental hospital? We have plenty of crazy people in the world - we only lock people up in mental wards if they are an *immediate* danger to themselves or others. Obviously the guy isn't that crazy. Our legal system is under funded and simply does not have the man power to handle the case load they have. MIT did only minimal investigation of Paul Pantone's design but spent millions on their own powered plasma fuel reformer designs. Search youtube videos for "MIT Plasmatron". Do a google search without quotes of: MIT fuel reformer Most of MIT's designs don't use water , however designs that use both fuel and water in a steam reforming reaction are more efficient. search "steam reforming" Both catalytic and plasma type of fuel reformers have been around for decades.

Then EMCON Technologies dropped the fuel reformer from their product line and only sell other stuff.

After all MIT did to prove its benefits.

and the next day MIT and Drexel and many other company's fuel reformers were still working, still capable of giving us all much better fuel economy, only car makers refuse to use them. Only they say they are developing them forever even though they had already been developed in the 1970's. Paul's works also when built correctly. Many in France are driving around with 50% increase in fuel economy with Paul's type of reformer.

Many others also have made fuel reformers and they work well. Paul gets all the attention and gives this technology a bad name but it works well.
