  • you are a very gifted musician. thanks for sharing your music. Bediaz

  • Seems like great guitars, and a nice guy, BUT you should search on any threads (including tony francis) on the steel guitar forum before ordering anything from this guy. I'm so glad I didn't a few years ago

  • @fengsel

I think it's unfair to ventilate your opinion on someone who's unable to defend himself; there's always two sides to every story.

For what it is worth, I know several people, myself included, who will tell you nothing but good about Tony. I've been an independant businessman for almost 40 years now and I know it's impossible to please everybody all the time...so once in a while you'll have a unhappy customer (mostly based on unrealistic expectations)...that's life....

  • love the way you play!!

  • ok I love you

  • Hi Carl, Hi Tony. Nice work as always guys. Tony, that teardrop looks suspiciously like something I have in my spare room!

    Andrew

  • My goodness! Thats is just incredible!

  • Just beautiful!

I can't decide which one I like the best...

I think I prefer all of them!

Carl, (as ever) your playing makes these guitars really sing with a voice that speaks right to the soul...

  • Whoa!That's a really nice guitars over there!..Sweet playing!

  • this is badassssssssssssss!!!! these instrument sound beautiful, the vintage style one got a sound from space...

And you still play just beautiful.

  • All good stuff ! You rule, Daddy !!

  • Hi Carl! and Hi Tony!

what a pleasure to see and to hear my guitar as she is on her way to Paris France on a plane.

It's really a very special and magical moment for me...

Thank you guys, deep from the heart ;-)

    Chris

  • i think the teardrop has the best delta tone-kinda dark. of course, the guy in the red shirt brings out a geetar's best.=B) i sure hope you took one home.

  • Hello, Carl: I assume that you have returned home after your trip. Can't wait to see what you post next. In that little practice video, I was almost expecting to hear you suddenly cut loose with the "Chumpman Blues".

  • Well Daddy, The decision for me is easy, I'll take No. 2 but really I loved them all:-)

But as you know even a crap guitar sound good with a great player!

    Thanks for this

    Kevin

  • Hey Carl !

    Good to see you again!

It looks like you had a great time in New Zealand.

    Kind regards,

    Raf

  • I like the vintage. :)

  • Sounds sweet man

  • So ... did you buy the vintage?

  • not even my cartrunk full of money could persuade Tony to sell his style 1...

  • Hey Karl, what kind of slide are you using? Bloody lovely playing you are a natural!

    Regards from Scotland

  • Thanks Alister, in this vid I use a Stevens bar (I think), at home I mostly use a Scheerhorn (chrome plated)

  • What guitars do you normally use for slide Karl? Were you playing in open G in the vid'?

Lovely sounding guitars, but I think the player had a lot to do with it!

    Alister

  • All those pieces I played at Tony's were in open D, the most common key for this kind of lapslide music. I have two lapslide guitars : a Daniel Brauchli and a Tony Francis.
