Seems like great guitars, and a nice guy, BUT you should search on any threads (including tony francis) on the steel guitar forum before ordering anything from this guy. I'm so glad I didn't a few years ago

I think it's unfair to ventilate your opinion on someone who's unable to defend himself; there's always two sides to every story.
For what it is worth, I know several people, myself included, who will tell you nothing but good about Tony. I've been an independant businessman for almost 40 years now and I know it's impossible to please everybody all the time...so once in a while you'll have a unhappy customer (mostly based on unrealistic expectations)...that's life....
i think the teardrop has the best delta tone-kinda dark. of course, the guy in the red shirt brings out a geetar's best.=B) i sure hope you took one home.
Hello, Carl: I assume that you have returned home after your trip. Can't wait to see what you post next. In that little practice video, I was almost expecting to hear you suddenly cut loose with the "Chumpman Blues".
All those pieces I played at Tony's were in open D, the most common key for this kind of lapslide music. I have two lapslide guitars : a Daniel Brauchli and a Tony Francis.
you are a very gifted musician. thanks for sharing your music. Bediaz

Thanks Alister, in this vid I use a Stevens bar (I think), at home I mostly use a Scheerhorn (chrome plated)
daddystovepipe 3 years ago
What guitars do you normally use for slide Karl? Were you playing in open G in the vid'?
Lovely sounding guitars, but I think the player had a lot to do with it!
