Are you playing an actual copy of the game or did you download it? If you downloaded it, the ISOs are usually pretty messed up with Sparx, gems, eggs, etc. It's impossible to beat the game (let alone 100%) unless you get a patch. If you're playing an actual copy, then check your atlas to be sure that's the actual egg you're missing. You get 3 eggs per speedway (course, race, and Hunter). Also, does the game just skip the scene where you get the egg or does it not save it?
@Raggedstar It's an origional copy, I finish the race first, and it normaly gives you an option theat say's contiue so you can collect the egg but for some reason it's only giving me the options of try agian or exit. It's really annoying me, if you can help It would be very appreciated.

It depends on the file/rip you have. Some rips online aren't patched, and those are the ones that go wonky. Insomniac put in an anti-crack program that often messes up the game if you try to rip it. I don't know the specifics, but if you look it up you'll see lots of people that had problems (there are also Youtube videos that mention it, including one in this video's suggestions sidebar).
@wweman6 It's normal for that to happeb, on the Greatest hits version does not have this glitch. Even if it is a legit copy the glitch was unintended upon release in 1999
@wweman6 Same thing happened to me but it was mushroom and harbor speedway. Also it version I bought from the playstation store and put in on my psp. I don't know if it would affect the game watsoever but it nvr happened when I played the verison on my ps3 but I didnt know wat to do either

I can't think of any games where I fail a lot and it would be somewhat amusing. Only game I could see having a possibility is Jak 2 or something. However, the difference between Spyro and Jak 2 is that the latter is HARD.

@Raggedstar in the 2nd home world the ice stage there is a super charge chase in that level. there are two theifs in the chase the one that u can chase then the 2nd on top of this tower at the end of track there is a whirlpool that takes u to the top of the level u can use it to kill the red theif before the first one. when psn is back i will make a vid to show what im talking about and note i found this by mistake

There is a box in the first room with ninjas. It's hard to see, but there is a red box on the ceiling. It looks like the boxes at the beginning of Agent 9's world when the Rhynocs keep respawning. Shoot it and you'll get a skill point and a gun drops down. Walk through it and you have 500 (?) ammo with your new gun.
I HATED Spike. That was my least favorite boss fight in the game (can't count the 2nd Sorceress battle because my version of the game has an unfixable glitch which won't allow me to enter the Super Bonus Round). And Sgt. Byrd didn't help at all.
The penguins in Frozen Altars did indeed sound like they were selling drugs. ROFL
Lost Fleet was a terrifying level, and Haunted Tomb had some of the worst challenges.
I have a Spyro 1 Japanese Fail Reel all recorded and edited, but I haven't gotten around to do commentary yet. Most of the fails in that one are more to show off how badly the game was designed there. HORRIBLE camera, a few changes in landscape and gem placement, and a bunch of random signs that are just...there.
Other than that, I don't really have much else to do for a fail reel.
I've seen gameplay and it seems pretty monotonous, plus I'm not exactly fond of the other playable characters. I'm positive it's going to irritate the hell out of me.
4:43 - I never knew you could do that. :O I just waited to get the Sparx upgrade from the 4th Sparx level where he can automatically break chests for you.
@Raggedstar yeah it sound like something people would abuse, I just never even knew you could enable that feature. I was trying to play this on the psx emulator on the wii and after like 5 different iso's it finally worked, one iso was messed up really bad, like all the warps in midnight mountain lead to the first world.
Ya, it has to do with an anti-piracy feature Insomniac put in. The game spazzes out (wrong music, missing gems/eggs, Sparx not showing, game wipes itself clean, etc) in most cracks of the game without a patch.

If you're using a downloaded copy, then you most likely have the cracked version that has loads of problems. Insomniac put something in the game which causes it to corrupt the game. Lots of crap happen such as how Sparx can't get healthy, missing gems/eggs, and the game will erase itself during the Sorceress fight. Your problems sound like that might be the case. The solution is either to get a patch for it (I can't remember what I did), or buy a legit hard copy of the game. Mine was about $10

Lost Fleet was a terrifying level, and Haunted Tomb had some of the worst challenges.

You know what? I hate the same this you hate in the Spyro games. But, I do like the thieves. When I chase them, I feel really relaxed. Good job.

I have a Spyro 1 Japanese Fail Reel all recorded and edited, but I haven't gotten around to do commentary yet. Most of the fails in that one are more to show off how badly the game was designed there. HORRIBLE camera, a few changes in landscape and gem placement, and a bunch of random signs that are just...there.
Other than that, I don't really have much else to do for a fail reel.

@Raggedstar yeah it sound like something people would abuse, I just never even knew you could enable that feature. I was trying to play this on the psx emulator on the wii and after like 5 different iso's it finally worked, one iso was messed up really bad, like all the warps in midnight mountain lead to the first world.

Ya, it has to do with an anti-piracy feature Insomniac put in. The game spazzes out (wrong music, missing gems/eggs, Sparx not showing, game wipes itself clean, etc) in most cracks of the game without a patch.

If you're using a downloaded copy, then you most likely have the cracked version that has loads of problems. Insomniac put something in the game which causes it to corrupt the game. Lots of crap happen such as how Sparx can't get healthy, missing gems/eggs, and the game will erase itself during the Sorceress fight. Your problems sound like that might be the case. The solution is either to get a patch for it (I can't remember what I did), or buy a legit hard copy of the game. Mine was about $10
