@Huny707 my bro, Corolla GLi is a family car and Honda City is bit more like sports one, having hard suspension for sharp cirnering.
So, i would say, depending on your drive profile whether you want to drive it too fast or love the acceleration then go for City, and if you want many ppl sitting in the car i.e family, go for GLi. :) I hope I gave you the desired answer..
Bro, I always purchase air filter from Honda, they tell you to change it after 30,000KM, but dust conditions in my country are bad. So I change it after 10,000KM. Air filter type is "wet".
New AT city is Prosmatec. And as far as I have experienced it depends on how hard you throttle. Again by managing it well, you can achieve optimum milage.
nice i have a 2009 corolla GLi 1.3L gives me 10+ in city and 12-13 on motorway. with AC ofc... didnt check without it. I wonder what would be the change with AT transmations. I m not a big fan of manual transmations.
In my opinion everything is ok. Why? Because you have index km/l so it means that when it increasing you went more km per 1 liter of fuel. Other way when you have 20km/l it means that you go 100km with 5liters of fuel consumption.
Dear @ghaffaurbhai, in Pak, price wise, Honda City much is better than XLi as it has ABS brakes which XLi lacks, power steering and power windows and power side mirrors.
Dude can you please upload another video of your city doing 0-100 km/h properly...As in this video you are not driving that fast...I want to see how much power does the new city has and in how much seconds does it do 0-100 km/h as i am looking forward to buy one soon and i want to examine its overall performance so please assist me in this matter
@fire2030 dude, try having constant accelarator, pressing the race and braking after a second reduces your fuel average unfortunately this happens while you are driving in city roads, better not to move with jerky traffic, rather absorb the shocks and jitters of traffic by maintaining constant average speed.
@fire2030 Motorway par no other car gives this average. Toyota Corolla GLi gives 16 KM/L and produces much less power as compared to city even though it eats more fuel.
thank you for your comment, oh sure, i will soon be uploading new videos. Well about your question regarding vtec.,basically it suddenly allows more fuel to be injected in the engine looking at the way you drive..mostly during race etc..
i'l make video now elaborating this concept..will surely msg you once i upload.
Thanks for your reply. Are you speaking of something similar to turbochargers, the only difference being this allows more fuel, and the latter allows already compressed air..?
Anyway, there is this one thing I observed in the video. When you are accelerating, I heard a beep in the 2nd gear, 5500 revs, about 75 kmph....Is that a the car's ECM telling you that you are going overRev?
Thanks a lot for taking interest in my request. :) Really appreciate it. :)
hi, well..yes, this one allows more fuel and air into the engine cylinders (because the injector valves remain open for more time).. i would also recommend you to see "HONDA CITY' 09 Acceleration test 0-100 km/h" video here and notice the rpm before and after 3700.
well..yea about the beep, if you see me going at around 6000 rpm + on 1st gear, it doesn't beep at all. After that i never heard such beep again ;)
Cool....This is awesome :) And I had seen the acceleration video like a million times but had never observed the tacho... But it sure is quick after 3700 revs....it just swoops across to 6800 :) Fantastic :)
Yeah, precisely what I observed too. At first I thought your door wasn't closed or something; but it kinda seems silly. ;) Hmmm, nice :)
Anyway, thanks again Adeel. Please message me when you upload new videos.

thanks for your comment, have you ever noticed it turning on VTEC during acceleration?.. i really enjoy that moment, and if you shift it properly during race etc. you probably win even if your opponent is having 1.8 :)
I can only manage a range of 9-14 km/L at best w/ my city 09' 1.5L. I guess it's because I'm from the Phils. and our city is urban and doesn't really have much freeways.
cool, :) yea i guess if you manage to press the pedal little lighter and hold it, the car's computer manages the fuel flow by itself, try it, it also works in urban environment..
I just booked mine ( in Tafetta White) today. I'm not impressed with the interior, however, this video and the ultra comfortable seats influenced by decision to buy this beauty.
is this a 1.8 liter, 118PS city?

Hello bro, what do you prefer considering everything ?
Toyota Corolla Gli 1.3 or Honda City 1.3L

Hello my dear, I have a question. If I am not getting wrong, you are driving on the 4th gear..? Why you are not shifing to the 5th.. ??
imstudz88 8 months ago
@imstudz88 At 00:42 sec the RPM is @ 4000 and speed is 120KM, at 00:44 time, RPM drops to 3000 telling the gear changed to 5th.

Hi, amazing efficiency you got. I just bought a Honda City 1.5 V MT. Right on the first day, I got 16.4 KMPL, with A/C.
I have two questions:
(1) Which fuel are you using? People at Honda told me to use only unleaded petrol, not high octane petrol.
(2) Was you A/C on while you got this efficiency?
jackhondacity 1 year ago
@jackhondacity
This is 1.3 MT. Standard fuel without A/C.

@fire2030 i have a corolla 1.3L it give around 13km/l in city..... all you have to press pedal softly and try shifting gears at RPM 2000
Shift to neutral 10-15 seconds before stop OR as early as u can if you are you have to stop ahead.
on a long term effect.. you will see your mileage wil improve! :D

hi adeel, :)
Excellent video this. I really cannot believe that it goes upto 21!!! :) Excellent technology by Honda.
Buying this car in a couple of months time. Now, after watching this video, am sure of my decision. :)
But one thing Adeel. I did not understand the vtec thing that you have spoken about. What is vtec switching on during accl?
Anyway, nice work, bro. If you have any more videos of this beauty, please share it with all of us.
Appreciate your work.
Cheers!

hey bro nice car u say tht ur car can give 28 km per liter on the highway? and what about the city?
jamali99 2 years ago
hi, thanx, well in the city you usually get an average in the range of 17 to 19..provided you still manage not to boost..

and ever tried cruising on 4800rpm? max torq mark, it might get the best fuel mileage there

hi,thank you for your comment.
it has 42 Liters Tank
that means if you manage to drive at the average of 20KM/L than 840 Kilometers can be driven this way :)
adeelksiddiqui 2 years ago
So how far can you travel on the highway at a speed of 110 km/hr? 800-900 kilometres without refueling?
This car is simply amazing, I love the car :]...
It is so stable under high speeds on the highway and the driver's seat is so comfortable, found that out after test driving it.
It will be my first car when I start working :)...
Nice driving and thanks for sharing the highway demo :D!!
