  • he gaveteh gun to you after he died?Is he a zombie

  • Great informative vids you have. What is the name of the audio track at the begining of this video

  • I have to agree with voodoo4u1975. Shame to mod a 40 year old sporter 10-22. Could've picked up a new one to mod for 160 bux. I would have paid more than that for the old sporter.

  • guys i need help i an looking to order a Ruger 10/22 Super Stock - Seven Position - Christie from galati International plz if any one has ordered something from this place befor plz tell me if they are a safe and dependable gun shipping store.

  • Thats a nice old ruger. Why put all that bullcrap on it? get a new one to make into a frankinstine bastared....

  • hey I love you're vid's man they are very insightful

I just started getting in to Firearms and im 35 and I just passed the PAL test here in Canada and now im awaiting my PAL number so I can Buy a Firearm. I did how ever put money down on a Ruger 10/22 and on a Mossburg Mavric 88.

Do you have any tips on a new Gun owner.

    thanks

  • Please tell me you bought a new one to modify. I have several, my favorite would impress the hell out of you, trust me. But the one with a real brass front sight from grandpa is in the back of the safe in it's own place with respect.

  • So can any 10/22 be modified with a collapsible stock and AR grip? any model? new or old?

  • Yes

  • A great rifle!!!

  • haha "smooth as butta"

  • is there any way you can purchase the part without buying the whole ruger

  • made a 17 hm2 out of mine with a choate stock only problem encountered was the screws he says to use locktite on kept coming loose so i steelbeded my rail to my reciever... fixed it forever

  • were can i buy the extended magazin release?

  • @Milby20289394bc ebay for a couple bucks. I did it its easy.

  • how much is a steel lips magazine?

  • I think I paid around 30 bucks for a 30 round Butler Creek steel lips magazine.

  • @kickedintheballs2000 what is the name of the auto bolt latch you bought for yours or is there a certain brand i should buy from? Thank you...and great video

  • awesome gun, i just got one today and its the sweetest rifle, im getting a stock similar to that witht the aimpoint, and a muzzle brake, how accurrate is that stock? my friend had one and the accuracy sucked becasue the stock was not a very tight fit so it rattled around

  • The stock seems great to me , no rattling and the fit was nice and tight.

  • @jarod445 glass bed it

    with marine techs

  • Thanks to this, I got this stock here recently and I'm lovin it so far.

  • Sweet man , I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.

  • Buy Krylon Fusion tan paint and paint the stock tan... i did it on my 10/22 and it looks great!

  • Nice setup! Anyone looking for "tactical" .22s for training should also check out the GSG-5 and the SIG 522. Also there are .22 conversions for the AR as well.

  • sweet setup how much that stock run ya???...ever heard of the archangel stock??

  • Yeah dont waste your time with hot lips, go with steel lips they work WAY BETTER than hot lips

  • I found that out very quick

  • reading customer reviews on the hot lips magazines convinced me to only buy steel lips, i hear the eagle ones are even worse. maybe thats why eagle mags are dirt cheap

  • No sorry man I can't say I have.

  • i owned an eagle mag and it broke after about 2 bricks of ammo

  • how much was all the chrisie stuff?

  • Ibought 4 hot lips one no complaints.. I also bought 4 steel lips still no complaints at all..

  • Could you write out all the parts you used? I want to modify mine like this and I can't tell exactly what you're saying in parts.

  • Nevermind, I got it all.

  • Ya sorry about the old camera audio man , the newwer video camera has much better audio.

  • Yeah, very helpful video though. I'm going to order that christie and christie superstock, looks real nice.

  • Hey I was just wandering if you have any experience with a butler creek folding stock and if there good or not. thanks

  • Thought I'd pop back to say as of April 30th I got all this installed and stuff. Thanks for the tutorial.

  • What was it you said you use on the screws to keep them from loosening? I couldn't catch the name.

  • Lock tite ( The blue lock tite , not the red ).

Its kind of like a glue that helps keep the screws from backing them selfs out over time.

  • Cool, thanks!

  • I saw my Boyd's Evolution stock in the montage at the beginning. Check out my Ruger vid to see what I did to mine. Great vid.

  • Hows that Boyd's working out for ya man?

    Thanks for watching

  • hi man, what is the music in the beginning

  • Opening Theme from the movie Beowulf

  • thanks mate!

  • Hey does anyone know if I can do this with a ruger 1219 .22?

    thanks

  • niiice, would you consider spray painting the mag a flat black? im thinking of doing that with mine, i dont like it clear.

  • can you tell me witch 25 or 30 rd mag is the best for an ruger 10/22 and were I can buy it. I'm from canada thanks

  • I like Buttler Creek Steel Lips mags & they can be got at Buttler Creeks website or most gun stores

  • how much did you spend all together on this?

  • Your very informative... TY... LOVE the FN mod.

  • Thanks man.

  • ive got 4 butler creek 25rd mags and there great as far as not jamming, but they tend to fall out if you dont hold them in place... ive got 2 off brand 30rd mags and they work great... it's strange, but the 10/22 is the best .22 out there as far as im concerned. good looking 10/22 youve got man.

  • Thanks man , I found the Steel Lips mags work a little better & Overal I also agree " Best 22 out there is the Ruger 10/22.

    Thanks for watching.

PS: Some of the Oldder 10/22 hav a little different

  • magazine hole size which most likely is why some of your mags want to fall or sometimes.

  • where did you get that chrintine christy super stock?

  • I answered your Email man.

  • Thank you. Love the reviews keep 'em coming!

  • Is your 10/22 a 16.5" or 18" barrel?

  • 16 carbine version

  • Do you know a good place to get preban 25 round mags for the 10/22 ?(I live in upstate New York)

  • No I'm sorry man , I think hi-cap mags are a no go in NY.

  • ok i have two questions

did you get the .920 barrel stock?

could you mout the red dot on the side rail like you did on your ar-15 and put a scope on the top?

  • I answered your email man.

  • thanks for the answer, that's a bummer man. That and the fact that the bolt does not hold open on the last shot are making want this rifle a little less. The reputation is incredible though.

  • i have the aluminum model its my fav rifel to goof around with

  • also the top plate that you put on the barrel to make it look pretty as you say it. Does it cover up the main sight?

  • I answered your email man.

  • thanks for the video. it's very detailed. i just want to know if the Christie & Christie Super Stock comes with the extended mag release, And where did you get that red dot??

  • I am very thankful for your time and effort in these videos. I plan to make the Ruger 10/22 my first firearm.

  • No problem man I'm glad I could help. I think you will be very happy with the Ruger 10/22.

  • I didnt realize that changing the stock would be so easy I am very mechanical minded I can follow direction and yours are so clear and great for a layman. Could you tell me (ignoring location) 'about' how much I can expect to pay for a factory and base model 10/22?

  • Well I just did a Ruger 10/22 review video about a week ago and in that video I give afew ballpark prices.

( $240-$320 ) Note: Can also be found cheaper in some states.

Check out that video if you want.

    Thanks for watching man

  • thanks looks like i am going used

  • No problem man and don't be scared by used firearms ( I buy used all the time ) just make sure you give the firearm a good once over before buying it and many firearm stores have a 30 days return policy anyways.

  • Great vid thanks :), I am adding a 10/22 to my collection soon and plan to put a new stock on and stuff and was worried about doing it but this vid helped me alot and now I am confident I can do it :)

  • Great video I just received my ext mag release and and my auto bolt-release thanks to this vid it only took me like 5 mins to install...

  • so hey man i gotta question, there is 2 different types of the 10/22...the regular 10/22 witch it the large one and the carbine 10/22 which is the one i just bought, theres not much different in size between the 2

some ppl say the carbine is the most popular but idk

do most after market part(stocks) fit both rifles?

it would be a pain to shop around for model specific stocks, since most sellers would know what i was talking about if i was to ask. lol

    thnaks man

  • Kicked, you kick serious ass with this video!!!! Thanks! Subscribed.

  • lol thanks man

  • Hey kicked. Im probably purchesing a 10/22 in the next few weeks and was wondering if you could do an accuracy vid @ various ranges and stuff like that. Wadaya say..... Itll be fun!

  • Yes man I plan on doing a full review of the Ruger 10/22 ( which I will do a accuracy test ) here in afew weeks.

I'll try and rush that vid alittle.

  • Thanx man. ill be looking forward to it.

  • there very cheap, just buy it. i had one for over 12 years, and theres so many aftermarket parts

  • I would like to thank you for the 5-star video brother. I am a newbie and just got my first gun(big surprise...its a 10/22). I have 2 young boys who are learning along with me. The rifle will be theirs one day anyway. Very Cool!

  • No problem man I hope the video helps.

Take care & Shoot safe. Mike

  • i just got the dragunov stock and a mil-dot scope for mine, should be here on thursday.

(and some banana clips that arnt exactly legal in california... shhhhhh)

  • wanna sell your factory stock?

  • No sorry man I plan on keeping this stock ( And the firearm ) in the family for many years to come.

  • Great vid,thanks.Try out the tacticalinc hi-cap mags.LOL 3rd attempt at a reply,guess Im long winded.

  • My father has three of those that we use for squirrel hunting, I didn't realize they were such good guns.

  • Great Video, I just got one handed down to me wit a collapsable stock.

  • Sweet man , take care of that baby and you will be able to hand it down also.

    Thanks for watching

  • Excellent video. I also was handed down a 30yr old Ruger, and I plan to upgrade as well. Is it worth installing a scope on a .22? Thanks

  • Well its all about how you plan on using it but yes a Scope can be a very help full tool with them longer shots.

( And it don't have to be no 100 dollar scope or nothin , just a nice 30-40 dollar scope and you'll be hitting Soda can's a 50 yards pretty easy )

  • Can you fold back the vertical grip? Also, what made you decide on the Christie stock over many others?

    Thanks for your response.

  • No you can not Fold the V grip back but you can remove it. I got Christie stock over many others because A: Its was good deal for the money. B: Its built like a tank and has lots of places to put stuff. C: I wanted a Tactical set-up and it pretty much comes with everything for just that type of set-up.

With out it I would have had to get everything seprite and I'm pretty sure it would have cost around $100 bucks more that way.

  • Have you considered changing your standard barrel to a .920 bull barrel?

  • Not really cause I already have a 22 tac driver rifle with a bull barrel and I wanted this to more of a tactical rifle that I can beat up alittle.

  • When you bought this kit what was included in the package and what did you have to by extra.

  • The stock , V-grip and picatinny rails came with the C&C kit.

  • How long is the gun with out the stock extended at all.And how long is the gun when the stock is fully extended?

  • how long is the barrel

  • Good video. 5 stars

  • Thanks man I enjoyed your 10/22 build clips also thanks for sharing.

  • best .22 rifle ever!

  • Do you know if this works with the 10/22 compact rifle??? Or do they make a smaller version of it for the compact rifle?

  • To tell you the truth I'm not really sure ( Never shoot a compact 10/22 ) But as long as the receiver is the same size I think it should fit fine.

  • i personally love my 10/22 carbine, i'm glad you chose to review this popular gun.

  • Very cool intro song! As always, nice hat!

Which version do you think is the best of the 10/22?

  • Its from the Beowulf Soundtrack.

And I think the best version is really up to the user thats the best thing about the 10/22 you can truly fit the firearm to your self and whatever type of shooting you plan on doing.

I'm a fan of Tactical shooting so I set mine for just that but some people like a nice tac driver ( Put on a Bull barrel , nice target stock , little trigger work ) And you got a nice little tac driver.

A Truly whatever floats your boat rifle

  • Thanks for posting the extended mag release! I have been looking at mine for 2 years now. Now I know how to install ! THANKS!

  • Yes it very easy man and if you need alittle more clear pic's of how to do it just drop me aline. ( I know my camara's Video is not that clear )

  • Cool stuff. Careful, though, modifying a .22 like that may wind up getting the government to ban it because it "looks" like an assault rifle. (insert eye-rolling animation here)

  • That is definatly a rifle on my to get list. The Mini-14 is a lot of fun as well, I love mine.

  • I always wanted a Mini-14 but just have not got around to getting one yet ( Key word YET lol )

  • Comment removed

  • Hell ya man Hold on to that baby and maybe you will be able to hand it down also.

  • Thanks for making a .22 video, what do you think of the hi cap mags available for .22s? Are they reliable?

  • Well I was going to put something about just that in the clip but I forgot.

Many of the Hi-cap mags are not that reliable and it can be hard to find a good hi-cap ( Even the 25 round Butler Creek I got runs like shit if you put more than 19 rounds in it ).

Best bet is to find a Mag with Steel Feeding lips.

  • The tactical inc mags are good hi caps they are 25rnds they have polymer and metal ones check em out

  • Thanks man I will do just that.

  • Cool stuff.

  • ruger 10/22's are amazing little plinkers.
