The use of the strings section before the change is amazing. And then brakes in ROCK with its sevenths and ninths chords that bring us suddenly back to the XXth century. Richie Blackmore is a virtuoso of Rock -he takes you into the real power of Deep Purple. The entire album is superb. Post more please. Greetings!
I never knew there was a part 2, the 1st was 8 minutes long! I didn't know Deep Purple made music like this, orchestral & classical music rather than rock, no rock at all in this! I hear cellos & violins, amazing stuff, a whole different side to the classic rock group fave.
@gmj2012 i have a music DVD of this album- DP is surrounded by the London Philharmonic, i believe the orchestra to be - IT IS EPIC ! ! ! -- this is my absolute favorite DP-
