this is the greatest movie ever. i took some chick to it but she was too ignorant to recognize all the nuances of the movie. such as the representation of the boys own mental characteristics in the separate characters. she just thought it was about a kid who ran away. then came back. sigh, women.

It was in the scene where Max is leaving the Wild Things and all are on the beach except for Carol who is in the Cave with his model just having found the heart with a C Max had made for him and begins to cry. He then runs to the beach to see Max already in the boat in the water, having said good bye to the other Wild Things. Carol just watches and cries as he sails away then letting out a howl which Max and the other Wild Things return.
