How did you get to camp on the grass next to the runway?

You could get down to the end of the runway where they were parked up and taxi'ing around before and after their displays.

The arrows and eurofighter were up at the back too

nope its where the twitchers sit and take there pictures, you have to pay extra and be a geek to get a seat there - i have been there 3 time with ATC and we camed on the US side of the base just off the back of there baseball pitch

i went to 2005 and 06 whats the name of the early jet (1960'S) i think only small of about red arrow size got showed both years very early in the show, its about the only on you can hear screaming when coming towards you then you get the jet noise once passed

a tip for ppl bored in traffic get there earlier between 8-9 at the latest then get great flightline seats then after the display's done spend the rest of your time round the static displays every1 tries to leave early so less ppl = great pics the place stays open late for an evening concert til at least 8 then when your done go home in minimal traffic if any then hey presto a great day all round!!

Last year got up at 2:30am Saturday got to the car park for about 6:30am, stood near the front of the queue - easy. I felt sorry for those stuck in the traffic till afternoon (no I didn't actually), back home for 10pm - stuff that - camping at Kempsford this year. You need to be there EARLY guys.

the first year after it came back from cottesmore was the worst, it took my my dad and my m8 about 4 hours to get out of the car park!!! i get my dad to take me down on his motorbike now!

i was there on the saturday and i thought it was fantastic i was sat right by the run ay near the hangars so i culd see wot was coming up nxt but the stealth and the red arrows done it for me and they were the best ( well the italian team were but...) but the spitfires reminded me of my grandad koz he flew them in the 2 world war. were going again next year and i cant wait !!!!!
