And for the record, we had spent hours outside waiting in horrible heat to get in so I walked into the place hot and exhausted but the moment I entered the sanctuary and felt the Spirit of God my entire body was over come with it. It is a feeling like nothing else and can't be explained with words. The power of God is real and our earthly bodies can't contain it. It's beautiful.
I can also testify to the reality of this church. My youth group took a trip from VA in 1997 or 1998 and got to experience 2 sermons at this glorious church. You could literally feel the spirit of God for moment you walked through the door. And yes, when God's spirit comes upon you with such power, you do strange things. I'm not one to draw attention to myself but I was out in the floor shaking like the other hundreds or people there experiencing God.

Also, as far as I can see this is a phenomenon also found in, for example, voodoo - with people convulsing and/or being filled with "spirits" (malevolent, other-dimensional entities?)..
I also visited Brownsville Assembly of God many times during the revival. At least two or three times per month I traveled 500 miles round trip. The experiences are very much beyond explanation. The most accurate explanation is that I had a very real encounter with God, for example during a worship service the flesh on my face became molten like melting wax, and another occasion there was aa manifestation of the touch of coals of fire that touched the palms of my hand, during the revival.

Does 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 sound like a 'secret' rapture where "bodies disappear" to you? @Keruaran While the Bible does not have a list of manifestations, there are many places that they are mentioned. One instance would be at Pentecost when they heard a sound like wind and saw tounges of fire rest on everyone (Acts 2). Instances where people fell under God's power can be found when the soldiers who were arresting Jesus fell, and when Saul fell on the road to Damascus when he encountered Jesus. (John 18:6, Acts 9:4-8)

Manifestations such as this are found in eastern mysticism and the occult. In Acts 2 they ministered in different languages so everyone could understand. I went to this church during this revival. It was something that words couldnt describe!! Entering the building a force just began to push me to the floor. God was definitly there and working. It was amazing and this happend to many people somethimes lasting days. Gods power is real!

@mozzrt I'm not condemning all manifestations. There are some which are genuine and from God and others that are not. We are to try the spirits to see whether they are of God or not. I personally have experianced the power of God so strong that it knocked me off of my feet. I have also shook in the presence of the Lord, but it was not like what you see in this video. If your experiance led you out of sin and you left the world and all in it, then your experiance sounds good!

@mozzrt The first Christians had the Apostles and some of them had even seen Jesus in the flesh. I'm not saying all expreiences are from demons. Some are just psychological, some may even be the Holy Spirit. But the Bible tells us the fruit of the Spirit is self-control. Gal. 5:22,23 How does uncontrollable shaking equate to self-control. Ofcourse, demons don't fill you with love for Christ. Just make sure you are loving the True and Living Jesus Christ who is the Eternal Son of God.
@mozzrt I will look at finalcall07.. I think everything I need to know though is in God's word. We recieve the Holy Spirit when we repent from our sins and believe on Jesus Christ. We don't need some mystical method to draw in Christ's spirit. Eph. 5:18-21 tells us how to be filled with the spirit. It is very practical and straightforward.
@mozzrt No, the fruit of the spirit is only for those who have the Holy Spirit. When you recieve Christ you receive his Spirit(the Holy Spirit). Actually he who believes is a general statement. Man does do amazing things if he believes it is possible. You are quoting the Bible but you didn't finish what Jesus said. To begin with he says Have Faith in God. and after what you quote he says Therefore when you pray believe you recieve the things you ask for. Mark 11:22-23

When you do, a window will pop up with 6 different options. One of those will say "favorites". Click on that and it will take you to a page that will allow you to add or delete any of the favorite videos that you select. That's how you clean out your favorites. It's very simple and it don't take a great wind of the Holy Ghost to get it done!

And for the record, we had spent hours outside waiting in horrible heat to get in so I walked into the place hot and exhausted but the moment I entered the sanctuary and felt the Spirit of God my entire body was over come with it. It is a feeling like nothing else and can't be explained with words. The power of God is real and our earthly bodies can't contain it. It's beautiful.

I can also testify to the reality of this church. My youth group took a trip from VA in 1997 or 1998 and got to experience 2 sermons at this glorious church. You could literally feel the spirit of God for moment you walked through the door. And yes, when God's spirit comes upon you with such power, you do strange things. I'm not one to draw attention to myself but I was out in the floor shaking like the other hundreds or people there experiencing God.

I've been there plenty of times back when i was in the military down there. And I admit I did enjoy myself. But I was immature in my walk with God.
Now when i look back, I see that it was true revival and it was not biblical. That is one of the reasons why it isn't even going on today.

I also visited Brownsville Assembly of God many times during the revival. At least two or three times per month I traveled 500 miles round trip. The experiences are very much beyond explanation. The most accurate explanation is that I had a very real encounter with God, for example during a worship service the flesh on my face became molten like melting wax, and another occasion there was aa manifestation of the touch of coals of fire that touched the palms of my hand, during the revival.

Does 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 sound like a 'secret' rapture where "bodies disappear" to you? And if any rapture occurs before this event, why does this passage say, "THEN we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them", after the Lord descends from heaven with a shout and the trumpet of God sounds? And also why does 1 Corinthians 15:52 say "at the last trumpet" and not before that "we will be changed"?

@Keruaran While the Bible does not have a list of manifestations, there are many places that they are mentioned. One instance would be at Pentecost when they heard a sound like wind and saw tounges of fire rest on everyone (Acts 2). Instances where people fell under God's power can be found when the soldiers who were arresting Jesus fell, and when Saul fell on the road to Damascus when he encountered Jesus. (John 18:6, Acts 9:4-8)

Manifestations such as this are found in eastern mysticism and the occult. In Acts 2 they ministered in different languages so everyone could understand. @mozzrt I'm not condemning all manifestations. There are some which are genuine and from God and others that are not. We are to try the spirits to see whether they are of God or not. I personally have experianced the power of God so strong that it knocked me off of my feet. I have also shook in the presence of the Lord, but it was not like what you see in this video. If your experiance led you out of sin and you left the world and all in it, then your experiance sounds good!

The Linen Ephod was a priestly garment! He never took that garment off! You can't find it in the scriptures! He was only accused of "uncovering" himself. The Bible is authoritative, not man's doctrine or some video. Jesus said be not decieved many will come in my name saying "I am the annointed(Christ)" and will decieve many. @mozzrt The first Christians had the Apostles and some of them had even seen Jesus in the flesh. I'm not saying all expreiences are from demons. Some are just psychological, some may even be the Holy Spirit. But the Bible tells us the fruit of the Spirit is self-control. Gal. 5:22,23 How does uncontrollable shaking equate to self-control. Ofcourse, demons don't fill you with love for Christ. Just make sure you are loving the True and Living Jesus Christ who is the Eternal Son of God.

@mozzrt I will look at finalcall07.. I think everything I need to know though is in God's word. We recieve the Holy Spirit when we repent from our sins and believe on Jesus Christ. We don't need some mystical method to draw in Christ's spirit. Eph. 5:18-21 tells us how to be filled with the spirit. It is very practical and straightforward.

@mozzrt I'm saying that Paul declared himself to be an Apostle and it was comnfirmed that his writings were Scripture By 2Peter 3:15,16.Paul had access to all the other Apostles and eyewitness,so wether there was a Gospel written at the time of his writings is irrelevant. Matthew we can assume was written by the apostle or a close relation,Mark by John Mark who spent time with Peter & Barnabas, Luke knew most if not all the Apostles,John by John. Apostles died their doctrine needed be preserved

there is no use at debating with people, I was at this revival and I know the power of God was there, God has healed me from Neurofibromatosis, and praise God every day that He prove the doctors wrong.
All we can do is pray for the salvation of others and not debate what you cannot comprehend.
With that said I do believe there are some movement out their that are false, but being at this revival myself I know it was GOD.

I've listen to hours of Steve Hill's zealous, passionate, careless bullshit. Blaspheming the holy spirit? Well, that's unpardonable, huh...damn. @josiahdocscurlock Make sure you are logged into your youtube account and click on your channel name at the top right hand corner of your screen. When you do, a window will pop up with 6 different options. One of those will say "favorites". Click on that and it will take you to a page that will allow you to add or delete any of the favorite videos that you select. That's how you clean out your favorites. It's very simple and it don't take a great wind of the Holy Ghost to get it done!
