  • i bought1 and it can fly..the people who said it cant just cant fly rc.aeroplanes p.s i have a RC F-18 super hornet so i should no

  • Couldn't be happier with this little plane! Wife got me one for Christmas and I have been loving it. The plane flies itself really. This is my first real RC plane and it has been an excellent one to learn on. TIP: I would recommend learning to fly it by taking it off. This will allow you to adjust the trim before it gets too far off the ground and does too much damage. And like HZ says, just let go of the controls if you become disoriented.

  • that piece of crap can't fly!!!!! i bought one and i broke very easy. besides,

it won't even take off properly!!!

  • @Bladecommander1 Sorry to hear that. None of our customers have had any complaints about this plane. This plane is a great choice for the beginner, and practically flies itself.

  • @Bladecommander1 you just cant fly, end of story

  • I would say not to bother with this little plane. On a normal day where I live, you'll have 4-5 mph winds. It makes it unrealistic to fly this thing. Maybe if you fly indoors...

Get a hawk sky. Its a much better plane to really train on. Simulators are also a better investment (try phoenix). Spending close to $90 on this is a waste IMO.

  • So I see the plane is kinda small but awesome flight characteristics. What would be a beginner plane, that can be flown in normal to bit heavy winds?

  • @Mark1Mach2 The Hobbyzone Super Cub LiPo would be a nice choice for normal to moderate winds up to around 15 MPH. The Super Cub is a very stable flyer. We only have 1 of them left in stock right now. If you're interested give us a call. (603)-879-0613.

    Thanks.

  • But now I got a airfeild 5 channel sky trainer 182 and will be doing a maiden flight soon

  • I gotta rebiuild mine, let's just say snapping a Wing in high mid flight was not the best for the little guy, I just need a : fusalage, wing, rudder/ elivator and rear landing wheel. And of course, stickers!!

  • i think this plane is worth it i migh get mine soon any speical deals this chrismas!

  • My friend let me fly his, I flew it in winds, it was a blast! Now it's stuck in the top of a tree in the Lyndhurst park lol....

  • I just got mine yesterday I was told to master this one first b4 I bought the one I had originally wanted.

  • I have one and I love it, is very easy to fly, you can buy parts for less than 12 bucks, easy to replace parts as well, It doesnt fly really good in windy conditions so I usually fly early morning or early evening when isnt so windy, is almost unbreakable, Is not so fast but climb pretty good and you can do loops, rolls and hammerheads lol I love the champ I got very good at it in less then 3 weeks I'm getting a faster and bigger model now.

  • Yes, It is one of the best dead calm flyers out on the market for beginners. Meaning is must be dead calm outside since it is small and light weight.

  • Is this plane easy to fly?? Is it good for beginners??

  • i want this so bad!!!!!i m getting into rc aircraft, ive been doing rc trucks for quite some time

  • about how fast does this go??

  • I just got this plane, it's my first one and I can't wait to fly it!

  • What's up with the paint on the Champ,it photographs a bright yellow, but is actually a bright orange color? I'm not complaining, the plane flies Awesome! Good job,HBZN.

  • This is my first rc plane and I will say that it has met and exceeded my expectations for a training type of plane. It's very durable and replacement parts are cheap if you do break them. My local hobby shop told me to not fly in wind but now that I have gotten better at flying it it can handle more wind than I would have thought. I don't recommend flying it in heavy wind but I did fly it in 18+ mph this past weekend and it did handle it very well all things considered. Lot's of fun!

  • I have flown my Champ in 15 mph winds and it still flies pretty good. Landing in high winds can be tricky. Yesterday, I flew it in 5 mph winds and it was more fun. Even at half throttle, it still flies pretty fast. I fail to think of this plane as a back yard flier. It likes open spaces much more.

  • nice flying :)

  • cool i saw it at a hobby store so i looked into it and now i have mine! awesome video

  • cool i saw it at a hobby store so i looked into it and now i have mine! awesome video:)

  • im thinkin of getting this plane. How do electric planes accelerate while in air?

  • i want to get a rc plane and im thinking of this one but not shure

    should i get it?

  • Hey i need some help just took mine for a her first flight and it seems the power starts cutting out after about 4-5 min of flight. Idk if its the obstruction of buildings or what but i would like to know if i shud by a new battery ect..also one of her front wheels fell off but i put it back on with a peice of eraser will this hold and the battery keeps falling out of idk if these are serious probs or not but someone plz respond and tips if u have them. THANKS!!

  • Looks little and gay.... Haha thts what she said

  • to bad there like 80$ in stores T-T

  • @anthony15601 WHAT? WHERE DO YOU LIVE???? i just bought one yesterday and i payed $100 :( :( :(

  • My maiden flight was tonight when it was getting dark..

and my dog wanted to get me to throw her ball and she barked in a really high pitched yap and it scared the crap outta me and i lost control and it went in a tree but I got her down

  • My first champ had a reciever failure waaay high up. Never found it, but bought another one and hoping to maiden her tonight.

  • @pikapoketpu I'm sorry to hear that. Hope your maiden on the second one was a success. Receiver range is a common issue with the micro 2.4 Ghz planes. I would recommend staying within about 80 yards distance at all times. These have a range limit of only 80-110 yards on average.

  • @hobbytowngreg Thanks for the advice. Maiden went fine, and I'm definitely never flying that high again.

  • i am amazed on how much lift that thing gets at low speeds, and it has a brushed motor!

  • This plane is a pure joy to fly!

  • BEWARE OF FLING THIS PLANE IN STRONG WINDS! I had my first champ at full throttle into the wind, it hovered there for a while, then in one turn it literally blew away in the wind. I'm gonna be more careful this time, but still it's an awesome beginner plane and I'd recommened it to anyone wanting to learn rc planes.

  • @josh71111 Yes, Not a strong wind flyer at all, but makes a perfect trainer plane like you said. Attempting to fly this in anything over 4-5 MPH winds is futile.

  • @hobbytowngreg i bought this plane at there place in oak view first flight it went up and then the air took it and it landed in a tree but i got it back flied it today and flew great

  • @hobbytowngreg 4-5 mph winds? isn't that almost normal for any day? when are u supposed to fly this thing? I live in california and there are almost never dead wind days.

  • @FireFoxConn I lived in Western New York most of my life and this plane would be essentially worthless to me. You NEVER get low winds consistent enough to rely on. Down in NC where I lie now though, yeah, it's pretty much a "normal day"

  • @josh71111 I tried flying mine in heavy wind today. I took off a lot but had an unstable flight and crashed a lot.

  • omg i just ordered this yesterday! cant wait hahaha

  • @RabilRocks999 Good stuff. You'll have a blast with it. Enjoy!

  • @hobbytowngreg thanks..and i already am! my first couple flights were a major succes thanks to these videos on your channel and the ones on the website

  • @RabilRocks999 The DVD that comes with the plane also explains the controls in depth more. Happy flying!

  • @hobbytowngreg Thanks....but this champ didnt come with a dvd....but im flying fine just after reading the manual thoroughly...

  • sweet plane, but right now I am looking at the ultra micro T-28....

  • @jsmbc101 You'll like the T-28 better. The Champ gets a little hum drum, & boring after awhile, & practically flies itself anyway. The Champ is a trainer plane really, but so was the real T-28. The micro T-28 is a blast to fly, but make sure you fly it over grass until you get used to it more.
