@Mifodiy35 the tjernobyl was pritty developped for the time the acsident ocourd because the workers wernt aducated anough and some faults in desing that will make it even worse but wont cause it on there own

However secrecy ,which lead to lack of professionalism ,has caused the worst nuclear disaster ever . Pretty much the same picture in Syria and Iran . Take the latest virus attack for example - such attack on operating reactor , could cause the next nuclear disaster . And it will not be pretty for whole region . That's why Saudis and other Arabs opposing it.

RBMK-1000 was very advanced for its time (late 1970's-early 1980's) , it was able to produce 3 gigawatt of thermal energy or 1 gigawatt of electricity . Today it is peace of junk . Syrian reactor looks even less advanced than RBMK .
