That's pretty much the best way to get it. I only went to the RoD for the quest you get to kill Dave. I blew off his head and said, "Hey, why not steal all of his stuff?" :D

NOOOOOOOO someone help! i was trying to repair my ol painless and when i hit the repair button it made my ol painless leave my inventory and i cant find it and i tryed going back through my save files but i saved like 3 quests back and just kept overwriting my saved files so now im fucked can someone help

Maybe if you do the "You Gotta Shoot 'Em In The Head" quest, you can still get the key. You get the quest from Mister Crowley (something like that) in the Museum of History (in the Ghoul City).

lol ol' painless is a really good rifle it does more dmagae and fires faster than a hunting rifle and uses the same ammo and its easy to repair, imo its better than lincolns repeater

I kno how to get Charon. But how do u get that Fawkes guy? Ive never even heard of him till now. Where can i find him?

You must proceed in game's main quest and get in vault 87 (through Little Lamplight). There you will meet Fawkes staying as a prisoner in a cell. Release him and let the story go on. After your capture and release by the Enclave you will find him again in Raven Rock's exit and then you can take him as a follower.

how can you get 2 followers?

One way is to have a guy and Dogmeat (thats the normal). Then kill Dogmeat (brutality) and ask the extra man you want , to follow you. My case is diffrent. When the Enclave caught me, Charon who was my follower returned to the Underworld. Upon exiting Ravens Rock I met Fawks and took him with me. Then I went to Museum of History, asked Charon to follow me and that was! Then I found Dogmeat and took him too! There are many videos on YouTube with detailed info-most ways are through gliches.

i didn't train for the power armour and now its the part where you go and fight the enclace with the robot. and gunny won't train me. what do i do?

I need more info, what have you done and where are you are exactly, but generally you must ask Elder Lyons first ''Can someone in the Citadel train me...'' HE will grand you the permission. Then go and meet Paladin Gunny and he will train you. This comes naturally if you have followed the main story, met with your father and completed the quest.

alright, so if i continue the mission then talk to lyons and then go to gunny, i can be trained? oh can gunny die? because charon may have killed him when i killed most of the brotherhood in the courtyard. so there is some more info.

oh and the part is where i half to talk to lyons and go out and fight the enclave. and none in the brotherhood will talk to me. that is why i can't be trained.

You messed all up. From all I understood you are at the end of the game when the Brotherhood goes out escorting Liberty Prime for the final battle at Jeffersons Memorial. No? Finish now what you started and go from the begining. And don't shoot again those who you will need.

Yes there is a unique chinese rifle, the Xuanlong, the most powerful automatic rifle of the game. You can find it on the corpse of guy called Prime inside Dot's Diner near Jury Metro Station but only after you answered correctly at 3 computer terminals in the Museum of Technology (something not very easy). There are some videos in YouTube with help. Look for them.

dude first of all, ol painless is maybe one of the most famous unique weapons. second, its called OL painless, like old painless not o1. 3rd of all, it has no spread.
