  • It's a pity in many cases that history isn't different but it was different we wouldn't be in it now. Maybe the dark ages wouldn't have been so bleak. but Julian would have to negotiated with the Visigoths and Huns. And he would have had to lose his chastity belt and remarry and have a couple of kids to strengthen his reign in the future maybe he intended it die out. Even another 20 years would have had a remarkable effect a remarkable man. I like to refer to him as Julian the philosopher

  • good stuff . Pity Julian died so early - would have been interesting to see what he would have achieved had he lived another 40 years

  • very nice

Look for "Flavius Claudius Julianus Imperator, Phil." , text number 8.

  • @proteusx Thanks for reminding me, I will put a link to the text I used later. What does that bit of Greek you posted mean?

  • @historyscientist It from the the original text of the hymn.

"O mother of the Gods and Men, O who shares the dominion and throne of the great Zeus, O source of the spiritual Gods ..." etc.,

  • Thank you for the excellent video.

  • it is unfortunate that Julian died in Iraq & christianist would take his place, it meant a loss of religious freedom not just for the pagans but also for the Christians who rejected or disputed church dogma.
