  • It was a pleasant surprise to hear his voice in ADVENTURE TIME.

  • Boom! Love Jack :)

  • I love the music in the back

  • @darkservantofheaven Bloodlines had a phenomenal soundtrack. Both the actual songs that played in clubs, Deb of Night on the radio, and the area and combat soundtracks like what's playing here were amazingly atmospheric.

And the good news is the World of Darkness MMO is taking some of its ques from what Bloodlines did well, so here's to hoping they make just as atmospheric of a game as what Troika managed.

  • JAAAAKE!!

  • BENDER <3

  • i just lone that game! my favorit thing that Jack said was: " a cross? Shove it right up their ass!"

  • Smiling Jack = Rob Zombie! ;D

He sounds like Rob and he looks like Rob ;)

    btw. Rob Zombie Rocks!

VTMB is the best Rpg I ever played^^

  • The whole time with Gehenna rumours in the game (Before I knew what was inside the Sargophagus =p) Had me thinking of the end of the real world approaching and helped with the miserable atmosphere a LOT

  • I've heard rumours of a Vampire: The Masquerade MMO... I really hope they don't screw this up -.-

  • @VancePuppet It's called World Of Darkness and it's under development by the same guys who made EvE Online. I don't think they'll screw up.

  • The laugh at 1:39 always makes me laugh, especially with the facial expression :D

  • This STILL has easily, the best characters there's ever been in a game.Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Dragon Age come close but...not, quite, that, fucking, good.

  • Why dont they make another game?

This one has a fucking big fan group :O

Seriously i would fucking BUY it not download it !

  • @Ryadriz I would too if I could. But I can't find it anywhere except on Steam, and I don't buy things over the internet. There won't be another game, though, because Troika shut down not long after this was released because it was a financial disaster and they couldn't afford to stay open as a company.

  • @Kayin15 The reason it failed financially was that it used the Source engine (Valve), from Half-Life 2. When somebody hacked into Valve and stole some of their code, it delayed the Half-Life 2 release by months. Troika had to delay their game too, because they couldn't release it before Half-Life 2 (contractual BS). Plus, the game had some bugs at the start. Troika was also broke by that time, and couldn't afford to ramp up the marketing. So things went downhill from there.

  • @Ryadriz Another reason there won't be a sequel is that White Wolf, the company that published the pen&paper version of Vampire: The Masquerade, did a reboot of the whole game concept, and changed their whole 'World of Darkness' into a whiny, wimpy version of the old one, called 'Vampire: the Requiem'. Since Bloodlines is 'Old World of Darkness', you won't see any sequels. I doubt I'd buy it anyway... just like I'd never play their new version of Vampire.

  • @LemmeLieHere You've never tried nWoD I take it. It shows. Enjoy never playing a wonderful game!

  • @eggmansizzle said: "Enjoy never playing a wonderful game!"

I will. I read through the core rulebook for Requiem, and was unimpressed. They left out a few clans, renamed others, and changed the mythology of their origin. Plus they took out the Sabbat. Now the only driving force behind the gameplay is the politics between the factions. Boring.

The only positive thing I've heard about it is that the game system is better. That's not enough to make me buy an entire game line from scratch.

  • @LemmeLieHere They've taken out the Sabbat, and have added Belial's Brood, VII and a number of other things (creatures, factions etc). The entire point of the new system is that the history of it what you make of it. Nothing is set in stone.

  • @eggmansizzle said: "The entire point of the new system is that the history of it what you make of it."

No, the entire point of the new system is to make the gamer buy every single book over again. Even D&D, with their endless revisions, never told their customers, "Well, our game world (World of Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, etc.) is coming to and end. All your characters will die. So you have to buy the new books we're printing." Utter BS. White Wolf lost a customer. You play it; I'll pass.

  • @LemmeLieHere The oWoD was a bunch of games sown together after they were created. The nWoD is designed as a single entity from the start, and the individual games are branches in this new design with vastly improved game mechanincs and utterly different mythology. My point is that no, the nWoD is not a sales pitch and if you think that WW is forcing you to buy the same books again, you obviously haven't even leafed through the nWoD books.

  • @eggmansizzle this new game, i've never understood, is it a pen and paper rpg or an computer rpg? haha call me a whatever but i've never actually tried pen and paper but i do fucking LOVE this game, VTMB is maybe not the best made game, but in the same time, it IS the fucking best made!

  • @bonzzo15 we were talking about the pen and paper rpgs, the first being under Old World of Darkness. The new pen and paper rpg is New World of Darkness. Pen and paper rpg's are fun if you have a number of friends (2-4). Anyway, the pen and paper system has a number of books that present new rules, but if you just wanted to get started playing nWOD all you would need is the core rulebook and Vampire the Requiem rulebook. Gather some friends, get a grasp on the rules and enjoy!

  • @eggmansizzle aha, i was actually thinking about it, but still, there is a computergame coming next year to right? haha well thx anyway!

  • What happens when you cross Marcus Fenix with Bender?

    Smilin' Jack

  • This game is a masterpiece ! Everything is perfect , the music, the voice actors , the atmosphere , the gameplay, just everything ! I played it through with every race , exept for ventrue and i still love it, just great !

  • I randomly figured this guy was Marcus Fenix just now, and searched a video to confirm. How awesome that it actually tells me!

And yeah, it would be so awesome if they made a sequel to this...but they won't. Pity.

  • @cloud302 Yeah, troika is dead now.

  • Comment removed

  • Bender!

  • CONTROL, THIS IS ALPHA

  • Jack > everyone else

  • I wish they would make another game but that won't happen =(

  • Don't we all wish.

  • same guy who does Bender! i knew it as soon as i heard him

  • go home

  • Smiling Jack! I've missed him :D

Think I'll begin playing the game again

  • Ah Jack. He has a discipline named after him

  • John DiMaggio has to be the best fucking voice actor that has ever existed. Just for that one voice.

  • @Screwattacker Damn straight.

They need to look up this guy for games that deserve his voice acting, really.

  • @Screwattacker i knew that voice sounded familiar

  • Aw man, and you're a goddamn Malkavian too. You're fucked.

  • i thought he sounded a smidge like bender lol

  • Only if you were stupid enough to open the Sarcophagus yourself.

  • He was the pirate. Best character in Vtmb. Jeanette's too of course ;)

  • jack sounds like macho man randy savage

  • That's Bender from Futurama.

  • And Marcus from Gears of War

  • Wawawa WAIT, seriously!?!?!

  • Ayup! =D

  • "Bite my pale undead ass!"

  • This is now in HD...makes it even more amazing.

  • Buy it for 10 bucks already you little miscreant.

  • I totally agree. This game may have bugs and flaws, but the overall atmosphere and plot kills any game. Period.

  • It also features some of the best voice acting I've heard come out of a video game in a long time.

  • Well, Stalker, Fallout, and Deus Ex are pretty close in terms of atmosphere, but the plot is great :)

  • "I take a bath...sometimes." Haha...I love that. For those who don't know, he says that to Toreadors and such. If you ask for his advice.

  • actually, the line ''water. phu, I bathe, uh ocasionally'' is standart I think

  • I'm a john dimaggio fan!!

  • The best vampire story ever told

  • My favourite charachet.

"HA-HA, Fucking humans... What the hell was that? o_O"

  • This game has THE best, and i mean, THE best characters in any game, period.End of story.

  • my thoughts exactly

  • I totally agree....i mean who can forget Jack or Jeanette or that tzimisce asshole Andrei...and this game has the best atmosphere too

  • couldn't put it down till i finished with all the clans... best part is, that things change with every clan chosen.. dialog, some quests, worth playing through couple times... only after finishing it the third time did id realize, that the cabbie at the end is actually Caine lol

  • Or maybe Smiling Jack is Caine especially how similar he looks to how he's depicted in the Book of Nod.

  • actually in the book gehenna the last night , jack is later killed by a nosferatu renegade.. while becket is touring the world with a mysterious companion who turns out to be caine
