  • ITS NOT FATAL. MY FRIEND GOT BIT BY ONE IN FRONT OF ME. EVERYONE IS LIKE IM SORRY FOR UR LOSS. HE PLAYED A FOOTBALL GAME LIKE 30 MINUTES AFTEER GETTING OUT OF THE HOSPITAL. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. gosh

  • don't kill snakes (only kill what you can eat) copperhead/rattlesnake rat snake didn't know any better, it usually "rattles" in offense and camouflages in offense, if your in a suburban area and you killed a copperhead for defending "it's" and all copperheads territory, chances are your going to be eating alot of copperhead (and alot of rat's indirectly) and not ano codas, because they eat you... "anaconda" in Engrish lol

  • way to encourage ignorance with this video. News make more out of the smallest thing. There has NEVER been a case of a fatality from a Southern Copperhead bite. NC Does not have the most VENOMOUS snake encounters, this would belong to California with more treatments by far than NC. A copperhead bite could be treated with as little as Benadryl if needed. None the less another ignorant news case to throw fear into the face of the weak who accept it.

  • Your dad killed the snake because you stood on its face. What a hero.

  • @beastyboy123 Any particular reason you copied and pasted my comment?

  • i hate snakes disgusting creatures!!! euuuuw

  • This girl sounds so annoying. Shes a dumass for walking around barefoot and continuing to do this wen she was bitten

  • copperheads are rarily deadly some adults recovery without any treatment but the affect is different on children

  • i hope Karma gets back at that father

  • @DarastrixiReOkh why because he killed the snake that bit his daughter? That was probably karma that came back at the snake hah

  • @AndrosForever it was the girls own damn fault for not looking where she was stepping the snake was protect itself

  • @DarastrixiReOkh Copperheads are great with camoflage. Not her fault.

  • Ugh, Annoys the piss out of me.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "POISONOUS" SNAKE!

    Snakes can be VENOMOUS.

The Difference you ask? Poison is INJESTED. Venom is INJECTED

  • @Kyu7 If you're going to try and correct/educate people PLEASE at least learn to spell correctly.

  • @Soulrider2012 Excuse me. "Ingested." But please, if you're going to comment on something...at least make it have a point. I'd hate to think you go around youtube telling people to learn to spell correctly on posts from months back. I'm sure you have NEVER made a simple spelling mistake EVER.

  • i can bet you she wasnt going to study.... and why kill the snake you stepped on the poor things face..

  • Comment removed

  • what do you expect from rednecks? She should have watched where she was going, first of all- if you live in snake country you should know better than to walk around in the summer barefoot without watching your step. I'm not surprised she didn't want her face shown. PS her feet look like some kind of toe deformity.probably an inbred redneck with instinctive hatred of reptiles.

  • @7mikethebike : Seriously? Really? Sounds like you must be about twelve yourself, and your thought processes are more indicative of inbreeding than this poor kids feet. It was all bad luck for the kid. So what if the snake was killed, it's a brain stem wrapped in scales.

  • one was in my basement today so i just beat it to death with a boat paddle

  • There have been very, very few fatal Copperhead bites and those that were fatal were due to allergic reactions. They are making this snake sound like it's a mamba. Last thing we need is more people needlessly afraid of snakes. Also, why would they kill it? They knew what kind of snake it was.

  • Why the heck would you kill the poor thing? It was defending itself....you stepped on it!! Thumbs up if you agree..

  • "My dad killed the snake and my mom got me medicine?" Lmao. What does killing the snake have to do with helping the girl?

  • @yogozarfy Wouldn't it be to make a positive ID of the species of snake to ensure correct anti-venom can be administered without delay?

  • @hirdy6 It's pretty easy to identify Copperheads as well as other venemous snakes in North America. If you live there, you should know what you're dealing with. If I had been bit, I would have known the snake and not have had it killed.

  • @hirdy6 Possibly, but that's not how they made it sound

  • VENOMOUS, not poisonous. you think the news would get it right

  • @TamboresDeJaykub ive seen the who new yahoo reports, the snake on the windshield, the n.y. cobra, and the s.c. man with all the snakes and every report said poisonous or non poisonous. ya figure the media would figure it out by now ha

  • @BigJT2010 haha wow thats sad

  • DAMN NATURE U SCAREY

  • snakes arent poisenous they are venomous

  • The part I hate is 1:14 on. Gmmamamammammmmmm.

  • why the fuck is the white bitch ann sheridan laughing and smiling the girl got bit by a venomous snake

  • 1:16 Why do americans talk like that? I hate that!

  • @gnossticc you can not like the way we americans talk but don't get racist

  • @IHateThatMonkey Geee, I never mentioned race. I just don't like the way in which you talk english.

  • Wow wat a badass lil girl JKJK sound like a pussy ur lucky mommy ran ur lil ass to the hospital.

  • Im glad the father killed the snake, i don't want those slithering bastards around my yard threatening my children and pets and shit like that.

  • Yeah, she should have just looked down at her foot, immediately identified it as a less venemous snake and stuck a band aid on it, after she apologized to the poor defenseless creature for stepping near it. What a heartless little girl.

  • Having dealt with them personally, you really have to piss off a copperhead to get it to bite. I'm pretty sure if someone with a head too far up their posterior to watch where they are going stepped on your head, you'd fight back too.

  • Why did be kill the snake stupid people I would pick him up

  • EEEEEK a Copperhead!!

  • @ 1:57, and deney me revenge?! F*ck you bitch!

  • copperhead venom is by far the least toxic venom of all snakes behind the pigmy rattlesnake.(also found in the carolinas) I honestly dont get why this even made it on the news its like getting stung by a bee.

  • @xxSEALYTIGERxx Google "venom." Wikipedia alone is all you need to confirm that snake venom is indeed a type of saliva.

  • @xxSEALYTIGERxx Venom is snake spit. And it has the consistency of mucus. It's a loogie.

  • @AtarahDerek Its modified saliva, lol, a loogie?

  • @xxSEALYTIGERxx Yuck, who wants to drink snake loogies?

  • She's right about being able to take it. Copperhead bites are indeed painful and can cause partial paralysis in extremities, but it is exceedingly rare that they cause fatalities in adults. A small child that is bitten is a much more serious case, especially since they have no idea how to respond correctly.

This girl was obviously envenomed, but many snakes will only deliver dry bites if stepped on--knowing it was probably an accident, yet still wishing to express their discomfort.

  • @xxSEALYTIGERxx Just so you know. Nothing would happen if you drank venom. It has to get into your bloodstream. You get hurt, get ill, or die, from drinking POISON.

  • okay let me get this straight number 1 its a copperhead bite i know people who have treated themselves 2 sammuse87 thebest6616 and 3 is this the only story this town can get i mean really!

  • I got bit on my hand a couple years ago. I didn't make the news...Fucking pussy

  • @steelFTBall96 its a little girl.you idiot

  • @KatieKat1432 its a 12 year old and they arent even deadly you idiot ...... and one more thing kids dont study unless this is a parodox universe i think she intentionally tried killing the snake and she got what she deserved and she probably asked her teacher to postpone the test and the teacher being dumb fell for the lame excuse do some research the girl is in sixth grade or somewhere close or she is dumb and left back for 3 years and the teacher is supposed to be smart

  • @steelFTBall96 I was like 10 when I got bit, faggot

  • @steelFTBall96 If It Bleeds It Leads, Familiarity and Proximity. Rules of top stories in the news.

  • @InK4484 and then it bites someone else in the different are. great idea

  • I Killed A Snake Already..

    \

  • i was bit by a copperhead 3 days ago. im 16 and had no idea what happened. i was walking through my yard at night and was wearing flip flops. luckily my dad was with me so we got to the hospital in about 15 minutes. they kept me at the hospital until thursday afternoon after running 3 bags of Anti-venom through my IV. copperheads are one of the most aggressive snakes in North Carolina. I was told by the doctors that i should be fine in a week or so. you never know where they are so be careful.

  • @DiFtEr1994 copperheads are probably the LEAST aggressive venomous snake in North America (except for the coral snake) copperheads do account for more bites however because of their habit to freeze, to try to blend in. people don't see them and end up stepping on them.

  • @DiFtEr1994 Copperheads are among the least aggressive snakes specifically because they are so small and their venom is not particularly toxic. You must have an allergy to venom because doctors normally don't administer antivenin for copperhead bites. They may do so for the more toxic cottonmouth bite.

  • @AtarahDerek

well im not allergic to them and they still gave me anti-venom and when i said that they were aggressive i meant most snakes would try to get away from you, but a copperhead is more likely to bite you.

  • @DiFtEr1994 Again, you're wrong. Copperheads are actually the least likely to bite, unless handled (and all snakes will bite if picked up by a potential predator). They are extremely timid and non-aggressive. If stepped on, they will more often than not deliver dry bites. Cottonmouths and western diamondbacks are the most likely to bite without warning. They are also the most likely to stand their ground rather than turn and flee.

  • copperheads are the least venemous snakes in north america. you got a better chance of being bitten by a shark in the ocean then dying from a copperhead bite, if you seek medical attention.

  • @InKa4484 there's not many places anymore they can relocate without a danger of the snake biting someone. besides, they're not exactly endangered

  • @InK4484 there's not many places anymore

  • This happens a thousand times a day, why did this make the news?

  • To everyone who says they shouldnt have killed the snake... its really not a choice. You cant risk the snake biting a small child, in which case the child could die... better kill the snake than a child. Out of love for your children, not hatred of the snake. Its an obligation.

  • @kward2500 lol it doesn't take much to relocate a snake.

  • @kward2500 They killed the snake not just out of safety concern, but to confirm its identity. Copperheads and cottonmouths can look very similar, and one is significantly more toxic than the other. A positive identification is needed to know exactly how to treat the victim.

If you can avoid killing a snake (or handling it at all), you should. Leave it to professionals. You're more likely to be bitten trying to kill the snake than by leaving it alone.

  • she need the king snake's help

    it's most best garden guard.

the rattle and copper will finish in king snake

  • she should of died

  • Aww why did they have to kill the snake? It really was her fault for setting it off and biting her.

  • Copperheads don't equal death geeez. They really would have had a heart attack if they had a timber rattler bite her .

  • Comment removed

  • And then she's standing in the yard barefoot during the interview...

  • It's a copper head... It's like getting stung by a hornet.

  • i wanna slap that stupid cunt... just for the hell of it :D

  • this is the dumbest shit ive ever heard

  • what a stupid bitch watch were ur goin

  • she must have been pissed when she found out it was posponned to the next day :L

  • Why do people assume you have to kill the snakes? As long as you look where your going and move any harmful snakes from your yard they usually wont come back. And besides that snake gave that girl warning to back off, she didn't so it bit her. Its not like snakes have loud warning sounds or claws to give threats with. And they don't have legs to run away on. Its not their fault they can only bite to defend themselves.

  • Ok. I'm not going to be critical on the "I was rushing home to study." Because we have no evidence that proves she wasen't going to study. Second, the man did not have to kill the snake. It's not right. Snakes bite, because they bite. I don't care if it hurts. This is coming from a kid who was bitten by a copper head as well.

  • why kill the snake it was defending itself

  • shes a damn lie..she wasnt rushin her ass home to study. she was rushin to a dudes house to give a handjob...smh

  • the snake ONLY bit because if she stepped on it, it felt threatened and if she steeped beside it she would have "cornered" it and it would have striked thinking she was a preditor.

  • you were racing home from school to study alllllll day for a test??? Sounds fishy to me.

  • @bowlingplyr she should have closed her legs then if it smells fishy :L

  • Lol I love some of these comments. Just to funny.

  • i got bit by a copperhead and a mojave rattlesnake. and a shit ton of pythons but thats another matter. so i know her pain but the killing of the snake? i dont agree with. i actually kept the copperhead for about 3 years before it died.

  • Likee Ohhh My Gawd!

  • VENOM IS INJECTED, POISON IS INGESTED!

I also like the description "poisonous encounter", I could walk into my kitchen and have a poisonous encounter with some bleach. Then someone could try to kill the bleach because it jumped down my throat and molested my insides.

  • Your Dad killed the snake because you stood on it's face. What a hero...

  • @sammuse87 This made me laugh. Well said

  • @beastyboy123 SHUT THE FUCK UP ITS NOT FUNNY BITCH WHAT HAPPENS IF IT HAPPENS TO U FUCKING BITCH

  • @sammuse87 she didnt deliberately stand on its face ya fucking idiot. some of you PITA fuckers are insane

  • @abelign1991 That's not what he/she's saying, dipshit. We know she stepped on it by mistake, but that still doesn't make the father some kind of hero because she was bitten. Copperhead bites aren't even fatal 99% of the time. Chill out.

  • @bullsnake70 Okay idiot, how about you consider the fact that prior knowledge on types of snakes and their respective level of venomous toxins is MUCH too specific of an expertise for the average father or any citizen for that matter to fully comprehend. To expect this father to react in the same manner a snake expert would, is utterly ridiculous. If i was a father and my daughter had been bit by a snake, i wouldn't refer to the snake guide like you would, you smug little cunt.

  • @abelign1991 Of course not, I was pointing out that you shouldn't be calling us "PITA" faggots for pointing something out. Yeah, maybe what he and I said about the father was a little bit harsh. I'm not saying that what the father did was bad or wrong at all, I understand his reaction to the situation. It's just that I get pissed at the comments saying the snake is an evil son of a bitch for using it's defense mechanism is retarded.

  • @bullsnake70 Honestly, i don't know what comments section you're looking at, but i just sifted through some of them for this video and the majority are in fact against the little girl for stepping on the snake in the first place. A lot also criticize the father, but they are blind to the situation at hand and cannot empathize for a father who's daughter just got bitten by a snake. The dad is not a hero, but he is not a villain either.

  • @abelign1991 I'm not against the daughter or the father. I just wish the public was made more aware of snakes, so that people could understand their capabilities better. This particular comments section doesn't have many of those types of comments, but many others do, and I just wish people understood snakes better so they know that copperheads really aren't as dangerous as the media makes them out to be. I apologize for calling you a dipshit, but the fact that so many people believe that snakes

  • @abelign1991 kill more people a year in America than dogs just really frustrates me.

  • @abelign1991 What the fuck is PITA? Oh, did I say she stepped on it's face deliberately? No I did not.

However, her Dad did kill it deliberately. He could have called somebody to remove it, or left it alone to remove itself - it's not gonna fucking chase people round the neighbourhood... No need for you to get all brave and mouth off over the internet.

  • poisonous, venomous!!! who gives a shit???

  • Ann, you really need a voice coach to smooth out your voice.

OR, I hope you feel better and the cold isn't one of those two weekers.

  • did she eat the copperhead and get poisoned????

Wow how stupid is the news. Venomous

  • People don't watch where they are going then get bit then start saying the snake attacked them, bullshit.

  • @coltonneal1432 Next time you walk by me, and come into my area, I am going to smash you over the head with a bat. BTW remember I didn't attack you, you just need to watch where the hell you're walking.

  • @SuRihtanil Exactly dumbfuck, you can read a snakes mind.

  • @SuRihtanil

    LMAO

  • These people are fucking dumbasses, it's not like they're extremely poisonous or anything and what the hell do you think that snake was going to do after some human steps on it. And then they kill the poor Copperhead...

  • copperhead is the name of my bb bullets for my bb gun and i shot my self in the arm by accident so ye its pretty dangerus

  • Copperhead gumbo is delicious

  • Of course the dad killed the snake, instead of trying to jus get a picture to show the doctors and let it be on its way.

  • Wouldn't kill her

  • @MrLittlestephen

are you high? of course it would

  • @CourtyardPigeon You are the high one, MrLittlestephen was right, it would not have killed her. Copperheads are the least venemous of the pit vipers.

  • And why r y'all fussing yes glad she ok but snakes ain't bad the don't bite u unless they feel u gonna harm them they rather run

  • She lying she know her ass wasn't going home 2 study

  • @thebest6616 She goan fuck a negro fo sho.

  • @thebest6616 she was going home to go see her bf and have sex

  • WHy'd you kill it, it was your fault being next to it !

  • @Chellokidtv Yeah...let's not kill the snake so that it can bite someone else...great idea...*shakes head*

  • @7EXASPR0 OK but you can leave it alone or move it too a different location not kill it

  • @Chellokidtv True, bit it almost killed a kid, so killing it seems morally correct.

  • It is too cold for snakes where I live! :P

  • @LifeIsABigPuzzle

where do you live? I live in Illinois (US) where it gets really cold yet I've seen snakes, even in a downtown urban setting I have snakes, but most of the time they're garden snakes

  • @HiphopDesigns010 I live in Central Alberta (Canada). There are snakes in Southern Alberta but it is too cold for them here.

  • I almost stepped on one yesterday but then I beat it's ass with a stick

  • @danishconsumer Manly.

  • Another white cunt killing a poor defensless animal. I prey for your demise

  • @teradynes what if the defensless animal would bite you? Would you feel happy? Most of all, what the fuck are you saying!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • @OmegaDarkful the snake had already bitten her. By killing the snake, it's not going to 'reverse the bite.' It just a way the pathetic white race kill defenseless things to make themselves appear more superior or powerful. If they were worried of identifying the snake, many people now have digital cameras or mobile phones. Why not take a picture? the sooner that idiot is struck down, the better i'll feel.

  • @teradynes What does that mean!?!? It is like if somebody slaps you in the face, you dont slap him back!? Well, maybe im wrong but i dont think that black, yellow or whatever people would try to kiss the snake after their children have been biten or something! i hope for you youll never get biten cause i dont think you would be so polite and kind to that serpent, or if one of your children would get biten. Why are you always saying "white race"? Are you racist? better and better here on youtube!

  • @teradynes Am I to believe that only pathetic white people kill snakes? What about pathetic brown people, pathetic yellow people, pathetic black people,or even the ever elusive pathetic purple people?Mabey I'm just being silly,we all know that there are only just people. Some pathetic, some not.Reguardless of color.

  • "my dad killed the snake..." really? like thats going to help now? if it hissed at her why did she step on it...

  • "Poisonious" snake..haha

  • that news reporter sure seems awefully happy considering what just happened

  • Poison is NOT the same thing as venom, people get confused with that like a conversation I listened to with comments.

  • Why did her dead kill the poore snake.

Its not the snakes fault it bite her it was her fault. The only defense they have is biting. Ok you could catche it and replace it away from people but kill it NOOOO

Thats somthing i dont like that poore snake.

And am happy all whent well white the girl.

  • rarely? try never

  • Don't you hate when people say snakes are poisonious. THERE ARE NOT POISONOUS SNAKES! I think it's really funny that a news channel got that wrong.

  • sadistic news lady smiles while saying " and not just any snake it was a copperhead"

  • @232323C yeah! she was a total bitch! totally talentless reporter.

  • thank god it was a copperhead and not a cotton mouth moccasin now they have some very powerful venom. but just going thru an ordeal like this is something that most people would not want to face. sure hope she recovers and leads a long life and keep a wary eye out for snakes

  • How did you get the camera to stay on the snake at the beginning of the vid?

...no really....my wife, 12 year old and 5 lb. yorki walked over a copperhead by accident this summer. It looked like a baseball bat lying there. It was getting dark and it was stretched across the sidewalk and we didn't see it till they were already across. They were very blessed not to have stepped on it. Dog must have hopped over it. whew!

  • good snake = dead snake

  • something made it mad and it just bit me!...that something would be you, little girl

  • i can say this from a copper head snake in april of this year they can be deadly i took 22 viles of anti venom and 7 days in the hospitl it sucks

  • Wait I was bitten by a copperhead, wheres my news story? They are overreacting IMO!

  • why'd he kill it!

  • omgg why the fuck would you kill it after it bit you its its environment and home so what if u got bitten from it thats your falt for steping on it idiout!

  • @2ryzy you should really learn how to spell before you call someone an idiot

  • copperheads have one of the weakest venoms..all this does is cause a little swelling like a bad bumble bee sting. antivenom is not required either.

  • at least it wasnt a cottonmouth

  • copperheads have a fucking whinge! although i do feel sorry for the poor girl nd i hope she recovered quickly.

Out here where i live we have 10 of the top 10 most deadly snakes in teh world and most of them are fucking agressive! i got a snake under my house thats worse then a copperhead and theres hundreads of them around my town.

You leave them alone they leave you alone. Snakes do alot more for the community then people see and believe.

  • y dose Nc have have copper heads... I hate those things

  • woooooooow this is not thst dramatic other kids would not have died from it

  • wow dad you are such a hero for killing the snake after it already bit your daughter...

  • Dang you got bit for nothing the test was on tuesday not monday

  • That's the problem Buffalo Bill, the media knows very little about a whole lot. Reminds me of Chicken Little.

  • i fucking hate stupid people if ur going to report a story about somthing at least know what ur talking about

  • dude come on it was just a snake bite

  • ITS AINT POISONOUS ITS VENOMUS..i CANT SPELL IT

  • @BuffaloBillCody987 venomous

  • @BuffaloBillCody987 Your right... Do you want a cookie?

  • @BuffaloBillCody987 Venomous, poisonous. Same thing :)

  • @AnemoneTrance nope

  • @BuffaloBillCody987 Yeah. It is actually. If you say poisonous snake. You mean venomous snake.

  • @AnemoneTrance No there not..

Poison - a toxin that causes its effect through ingestion or absorption

Venom - a toxin that causes its effect through administration via a specialized delivery system.
