I guess people are easily amused but I see flaws. OK a suggestion, I know these are eagles but you should try to make the flights a little more natural. Have you ever seen a busy body of birds flying? Use nature for research if you want to really sell your audience. Also there is a thing as too much, it got to the point where I didn't feel as they were real but more of a cut and paste job that blobbed up in spots and wasn't pretty to the eye anymore. Good job but I know you can do better.
@petenicezz What you need to change is in the PARTCILE setting. Instead of using the default particle or any of the pre-sets, checkmark the CUSTOM particle. Then you assign the particle to your video layer (e.g. the birds in my example). So every individual particle (according to what you set your EMITTER to do) is a single bird.
I am working on a couple tutorials so subscribe if you'd like to be notified when they post.
The bird was made using a .gif I found online. It was only a 14 frame gif so I neeed to adjust it and then cycle it to create a ceaseless flap cycle. (stabilizied the footage, color keyed it, cycled it for a 30 second timelines, saved it out as an alpha channel clip). Then once I had that cycle realized, I started programming the particle generator and layer mapped the bird.
I don't think you can use the trapcode plugins in sony vegas, but I could be mistaken. They work flawlessly in adobe software (adobe after effects, adobe photoship, illustrator etc...
Then take that clip into your ae timeline and map all the particles to that clip. And then control D your trapcode layer and adjust the emitter propertiesto create new layers. Adjust the density of particles, speed, size, randomness etc... until you're pleased with your end result.
Thank for the comment! I wish youtube would have let me use my origiginal music track. THis replacement sucks.
@chaucer44 Just wondering since U Toob banned the original music track, would vimeo do the same, or have you tried uploading the original version to vimeo?
I used trapcode particular, spead the particles out and gave them a direction, speed etc...
Then I pieced together a 30 second loop of a single bird flap cycle (luma keyed to black). I used a instance of just one wing flap and then duplicated it over and over. So the end result is a stabilized bird flying in place.
Just a suggestion though. When the words break, you should set the life of the broken particles to about a second or two, that way they don't block in the incoming words/image.

when i add the particular effecet, i go to Emitter and change it to Lights and it pops up a box saying:
In this mode lights are used as particle emitters.
Only lights whose names start with "lights are used.
Create a light with Layer> New>Light.
To change the name "Light open Trapcode Particular's Options box.
