I will NEVER understand why people open their car doors, and hang out the door when they are sliding out of control, about to crash. Seatbelts people...der!

You're an idiot. We invented the automobile, therefore have been driving them a lot longer than you euro pieces of shits. Our country has some pretty tough winters too. I'd like to see you try and drive in Alaska, North Dakota, Minnesota or any midwestern state that has icy winters. You brainless piece of shit, remember who runs this planet. Americans! Bitch. Now go back to your shit job in your piece of shit country.
youre the idiot bud. im as american as you are. and get off your high horse, america isnt the center of the world, people in other countries, especially europe have pretty nice lives...so calm down, and before you start trashing the rest of the world travel around a bit and go see some of it. its sad how we americans are so ignorant and criticize the rest of the world without seeing it...

Ive seen everything. Spent some time in the Marines and I've been everywhere from Iraq, Germany, Ireland to Japan and even Australia. I've seen some pretty shitty situations in the world but ive seen some of the nicest vacation spots as well. The US has everything that the rest of the world has and then some. Please get in your car and park it on the train tracks. Fucking queer ass bitch.
I would say Russians are pretty damn familiar with driving in winter but obviously some conditions nobody can drive. Another video almost exactly like this but happening in America had all kinds of non-Americans making anti-American political comments. Nice huh
And I was the planned child in my family. And according so some pessimists we are all parasites in the big scheme of things. While there is intelligence in your statement, I believe it was more of a shock-insult thing, wasn't it? You saw the word rubber, and with that dirty child -like mind you just had to comment. ha ha ha, good one, but you made to contribution to the arguement in anyway. Have a good life, douche.
Actually when I've been driving cars with manual gearboxes in conditions like that in the past. I usually put it into reverse gear and ride the clutch, and just let it roll gently down the hill, using the engine and clutch (in reverse gear of course) where necessary to regulate the speed and keep control. The last thing you want to do is use the breaks. Of course you can't do that in an automatic.
are you for real? you put it reverse and ride the clutch? dumbest thing i ever heard! lol that is funny, i wish i knew you and you lived close to me so i could watch this. put it on youtube sometyime, ill subscribe to you just in case. man thats a dumb idea
Well you can do whatever you like. In my experience it works. Under those kind of conditions, on a downhill gradient, using reverse gear as means of stopping or slowing down is a lot more effective than using brakes, anything is better than using brakes. But if everyone knew that we wouldn't have such entertaining videos LOL
Ummmmm. When you use brakes, you lock up 4 wheels. When you put it in reverse, you are spinning your wheels, whether front or rear, I don't know. Either way, you're looking at ZERO traction. ZERO traction means there is no change in speed. Also, it's impossible to put a transmission into reverse if the wheels are going forward, therefore you must have touched the brakes to stop the wheels.
I shoved my truck into reverse once on ice. I ended up sliding sideways. I don't recomend it.
Ever drove in weather conditions where you CAN NOT STAY ON YOUR FEET ? Literally, if you have to make a considerable effort to keep your legs from sliding apart, there is no way you can walk, let alone drive anything on the ice that smooth.
Then why try? If you know that it's that icy out there and you don't drive slow enough to be able to stop then you don't have the sense to be able to drive at all...
LMFAO this video cracked me up

Drivers could not have known what to expect ahead in these conditions?
No one could run ahead and warn them?
