Obviously not ALL young voters are as described... but it's difficult to dispute the "shopping mall" mentality which most college-aged young adults have - meaning they don't pay attention to politics and just want to have fun... Then when they hear some guy wants to end poverty... they vote.

@xxM0nk3yzxx Now, my intention is not to discredit Paul… but it’s hard to ignore the paradigm here which suggests WHY a young voter would vote for Paul. His positions are extreme - not in the sense that they go too FAR (because that’s quite debatable, particularly when it comes to domestic issues) - but rather that garnering the support for such positions is more than a bit on the unrealistic side of politics. Still, It would be very interesting see what he WOULD get passed into legislation.

There's so many reasons why he's popular with us. Oh for the most part, it's because older people only listen to the media and we do research. The constitution already does enough to encourage science and innovation. We don't need federal programs or funding of research. Article 1 section 8 of the constitution basically says that to encourage scientific innovation we must protect intellectual property rights of authors and inventors.
