ITV has axed it, they wouldn't commission a third series cause it didn't get high enough rates (what did they expect when they kept changing the time every week and never advertised anything about it) I have heard from the writer himself that he would have loved to do another series, but he has kind of written himself into a corner now and it wouldn't be as good as it was if there was another series.
I have to say the show would not have been as good without Andrew Lincoln. The pairing with Lesley Sharp is some of what made it good.
