One thing that is most telling about both the Road Warriors and Demolition. When folks debate who the greatest Tag Team in Wrestling history is, you always hear these two teams up against each other, with their respective fans getting their backs. One thing that is not in question, in the realm of who was/is the greatest tag team of all time, only Demolition and the Road Warriors make it to the debate, and no matter which team you like best, that speaks highly of both.
@TheMightyCookieShow I agree completely. While there were a lot of good tag teams over the years, The Midnight Express, The Hart Foundation, The Steiner Brothers, etc. The Road Warriors and Demolition are the upper echelon. Those two are the Jerry Rice of tag teams.

Hogan vs Mankind, HBK/HHH vs Kane/Taker, Hart Foundation vs Steiner Bros, Steve Austin vs Goldberg, nWo vs DX (Hogan, Nash, Hall vs HBK, HHH, X-Pac), Mankind vs Booker T, Bret Hart vs Ultimate Warrior (1996), Reforming the Horsemen in 2002 (they had Flair, Malenko, Benoit, and Arn Anderson)... Sometimes, I question Vince's genius. WCW gave away too many dream matches, but they didnt drop the ball on many of them.
Demolition vs Powers of Pain & Mr. Fuji from Wrestlemania 5 was the first wrestling match i ever saw as a little kid. I became totally addicted to wrestling after that. I've had a special place in my heart for these two ever since!

Listen, Demolition broke up originally in 1991. Cena started wrestling in 2000 and debuted on WWE TV in 2002. WWE did "Attitude" because they needed to break Nitro's winning streak. It no longer became necessary after WCW died in 2001. The PG era has its flaws, but not seeing garbage such as the Diva Searches or DX dumping shit on people's heads is A-OK with me.

Why don't they make tag teams like this nowadays? You want to see quality tag teams and tag team wrestling, check out the opening match of the 1988 Survivor Series - a 10 v 10 man match but made up of tag teams and every one of them was a legit team with a name, outfit, theme tune...not just 2 random guys thrown together. And they could work too!
Seeing these guys vs LOD back in the day I always always wanted them to win.. they were WAY Over with the crowd compared to LOD who in my opinion sucked ass sure they had big spikes n crap but demolition were just bad fucking ass period..

Yes the LOD is the greatest tag team of all time but you have to remember Demolition came out a time when there where THREE major federations: NWA. AWA and WWF. The great thing about Demoltion is that they where unique and had the BAD ASS entrance music. Also, look at the tag division at the time: British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation, Rockers, Strike Force, Bush Whackers. The division was loaded and they all made each other look good.
@Mike19737 I agree, but Rockers also had a good theme which got the crowd going, and British Bulldogs were the best technical tag team of the era. I hope they do re-build the WWE Tag division the last time it was truley amazing was from 1999 - 2002. After that they just lost the magic.

If you have ever watched any of the old WrestleMania's that have been released over the years by the WWE, this theme has been dubed over. I believe Demo cheated Strike Force to win their belts the first. They clobbered Rick Martel, who would later turn against Tito Santana and then call himself "The Model." It was so funny how he "marketed" the "arrogance" scent.

Also, look at the tag division at the time: British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation, Rockers, Strike Force, Bush Whackers. The division was loaded and they all made each other look good.

@Mike19737 I agree, but Rockers also had a good theme which got the crowd going, and British Bulldogs were the best technical tag team of the era. I hope they do re-build the WWE Tag division the last time it was truley amazing was from 1999 - 2002. After that they just lost the magic.

@TheRatedRAssassin I would love for this theme to be on WWE 12 but for some reason I don't think it will be because they don't have the copyrights. If you have ever watched any of the old WrestleMania's that have been released over the years by the WWE, this theme has been dubed over. Hope you're right, but I have this theme in my back pocket and at least for me, this theme will manage to find it's way on the game :D! cheers mate!

Warrior turned down the induction this last year. Savage- possibly but only because he's passed on. Jake Roberts- they want to make sure he will show up. I think out of all those guys, Luger will probably go in first..

I believe Demo cheated Strike Force to win their belts the first. They clobbered Rick Martel, who would later turn against Tito Santana and then call himself "The Model." It was so funny how he "marketed" the "arrogance" scent.

It's too bad we never got to see Demolition VS Legion Of Doom. Well, we kinda did necause the two stables did have a match but the Demolition duo was Smash and Crush at the time. So yes we got a taste od Legion Of Doom VS Demolition, but we never got the showdown we all wanted which was the ORIGINAL members of Demolition, Ax and Smash VS Legion Of Doom.
