  • sport quattro not s1...wie schon du bist..auto und madchen

  • You are stupid keywalshe?? This is a Audi Sport Quattro A2, .... !!! :)

  • 1. is no pikes pike car 2. its audi sport quattro a2 no s1

  • @erdhearndl1985 Sorry mate your wrong on both counts. This car STILL holds the record for a woman driver - Michelle Mouton, who set the record in 1985. It is not an A2 quattro, it is an S1.

The 1987 pikes peak that Walter Rohrl won with is an S1 E2 based car with a radical aero package and is still owned by the factory.

  • Im sorry my friend the homologation document B264 states quite clearly SPORT QUATTRO S1..end of story.

  • @quattrofixer hmm i think you didnt know that the text you posted from John Davenport refers to the newer homologation. In the old homologation papers you could read only sport quattro (B264 too). Audi wanted to call the Sport quattro E2 - S1 but it was not allowed by the FISA rules to call an evolution different to the homologation model so they changed the whole homologation - the whole audi sport staff and Audi AG too will ever call the Sport quattro E2 as S1 - indifferent what the FISA says

  • Quote "the E2 - so called because FISA insisted that from the end of 1984 all producers of Group B cars should use the prefix "E" before the number denoting the particular evolution - was a evolution of the standard 200-off Sport Quattro and thus used the same homologation number as that car (and the same homologation number as the

    S1) namely, B264" unquote...

  • If one looks at the first page of the Audi Sport Quattro B264 homologation form,

one can see that the car model is given as “SPORT QUATTRO S1”. This designation is maintained throughout the form and appears on both first pages of the two evolutions. The reason for this is that the S1 was the first evolution of the Sport Quattro, the 20 motorsport cars, of which were homologated at exactly the same time as the 200 standard Sport Quattros.

  • @quattrofixer hm take a look at the original datasheets from audi on ig-audisport(dot)com - they call only the Sport quattro E2 S1 - the sport quattros which were homoligated at 01.05.1984 are called Sport quattro group B. There is an interview on the audi homepage with dieter basche - he calles the E2 (S1) - theres also an official report for 30 years quattro they call the car which was homoligated on 1st july 1985 (E2) sport quattro S1.In my conversations with Gumpert and Röhrl they told it S1

  • This is an S1... most people call it the Sport Quattro but it is the S1. The S1 Evo2 was the final evolution model with the pikes peak car being a special variety.

  • is "Audi Sport Quattro S1" ... Sport Quattro S1, S1, is all the same; is a car, is fast, is the best

  • no it was never official called S1 you - will find no book which was print in this time were they call the Real "S1" S1... this cars were called sport quattro Evo1 and Evo2 - the Evo2 is the so called "S1" but never in group B times and absolutely never called for a sport quattro

  • thats not S1

  • Audi quattro sport ---> this car

    s1 real name:

Audi quattro sport E2 S1---> with brutal wings

Audi quattro sport E2 S1 Pikes Peak ---> More brutal Wings :)

  • This is an S1, the A2 was a "long" car. The S1 was followed by the S1 E2 which had the large wings etc both of which were short wheelbase..

  • Grande Michelle!

  • a2 short wheelbase not s1 the s1 was widebody
