  • What a wonderful looking meal! I hope to try it soon. Yeah I'm one of those REDNECKS and I love food from other countries and ate a lot while defending our Nation. After spending time in South East Asia you develope a taste for hot and spicy foods and the heat of day makes the food taste bland. Thank you for taking the time to show us your countries food and how tp prepare it. Could I ask you what was the red sauce on the plate with the omlette? Take care and may GOD bless!

  • @batemanterry

Thanks so much. Good to know that you love South Asian cuisine. yup you need to have spicy tooth to enjoy Indian food. I have served with Tomato Ketchup. Thanks for asking :D

  • if i eat that much of red chilli powder, i would die for sure.

  • instead of beating the egg to turn it yellow can I add yellow food colouring ?

  • @MrRajan11222533 none.

  • this sucks!!

  • Ummm, quite plain and simple but OK. I halved the recipe for one person and only used 1 piece of brown bread, so quite healthy too really, oh, and used paprika instead of chilli. Good for Saturday morning brunch ;-)

  • i would love to eat omlet with varan bhat.

  • improve your vocabulary, you have talent.

  • how 2 prepare rava dosa..if u know plz post that video..i will be highly thankful 2 u

  • horrible

  • In Morocco We Make Omlette better Than This .. Chopped meat + tomato + pepper + parsley + and Moroccan spices

  • add 1 teaspoon of water and mix it with chilli powder then add it in the egg mixture, there will be no red chilli powder lumps

  • need alot of energy to wisk egg lmafo !!

  • When you move to another country you realize the mind boggling variety in Indian food. I have to thank Madhura for bringing back memories from childhood... memories from home. <3

  • I use a fork to mix eggs...it takes longer with a spoon. I never thought of using chili or turmeric in an omelet, it's a good healthy idea!

  • I have tried

  • It's a good idea though. but the problem is if i eat that much of chili powder, I will burn myself next time I go to the loo.. No Offence, but I really like the idea of cooking..

  • super..i lov eggs...

  • Thanks for sharing

  • @madhura94 ... I can prepare all the dishes... but i don't know the most easiest thing... That's tea. can you share or message how to prepare the best tea....

  • sadly i always break my omelet while flipping on the pan and ends up making scrambled eggs instead. may be if i do with bread then it i could actually enjoy omelet that is made by me. Nice trick. Thanks..

  • @TheKornFire yeah... i do mistakes when flipping the egg... i felt realy mad and depressed so i just make scrambled eggs insted :(

  • GOOD JOB MADHURA!!!! KEEP IT UP..ITS YUMMY

  • yo

  • thanks for sharing i will cook this tomorrow :)

  • So the south Indians make their omelet like this too! This is how my maharashtrian mother makes it. :)

  • @saritajakhere

We had it once our visit to Bangalore. Thanks :D

  • @saritajakhere she mention it on the description, isnt she?

  • @cietawinchester I am trying to draw a parallel between two regions of the country that make their omelets in a similar way.

  • @saritajakhere Ma'am I like to think of Maharashtrians as south indians too! I think there are a lot of similarities between Maharashtrians and South Indians (Kannada, Telugu esp)

  • @vishyvikranth There are similarities between all Indian regions. but we are more west Indian than south Indian. In fact, within Maharashtra, the coastal cuisine is different from cuisine of the ghats. Nagpur food is completely different from Kolhapur food.

  • @vishyvikranth No offence to the south. The popularity of south Indian food in Maharashtra is obvious from Mumbai's ubiquitous Udupi restaurants. I am partial towards south Indian breakfast food. I swear, I can survive on idlis and sambhar for the rest of my life. :)

  • This is a great idea, Madhura! I will definitely try this recipe. :)

  • Mmmm, you are very sexy and you have a gorgeous voice.

  • thanks a lot ... got a new quick easy to make kinda breakfast !!!

  • @rajbhatt123

bhosadiwaale, show some appreciation towards the lady, atleast she has compiled a video where people can watch and make, i have tried it, it came out really well and was tasty, this is the way an indian omelette is cooked

  • what did you do with the rest of the eggs?

  • Its even a good omelet if you don't add bread..

  • That looks bomb Im gonna try to make it

  • ...thats awesome :D:D

  • hi me and my frds were trying to make. Up to half way we were doing better than u everyone was so excited and when it time comes to flip up side down. it went all over the kitchen. our landlord was about to throw us out( coz we laughed so loudly). it was fun. we gonna try it one more time look yummy.

  • It looks awesome! thanks for sharing :)

  • great job! we-in Bulgaria use fork to beat the egs, it's easier and faster:)

  • I use chopsticks to stir the eggs :) its better for us japanese.

  • @FinalFantasy10RO

that's a great idea, thanks for sharing :D

  • @madhura94 no problem because if you use metal objects like fork, if you stir the eggs ... some bacteria's that sticks in the fork, (even if you clean it many times), will stick to the egg while a wooden chopsticks absorb bacterias :) hope this makes a good tips... oh and you can use wooden fork too... im not ordering you to use metal fork just giving tips to you :)

  • @FinalFantasy10RO I use chopsticks in my kitchen for near enough anything...

    ... and i'm white! ;D

  • USE A FORK 2 MIX!

  • this is not bread omlet this is called bhurji bread

  • @mystyle72 It'll only be bhurji bread when the egg is scrambled.

  • disgusting......

  • I have watched some of your videos...u look a food enthusiast...surely u love cooking. Just one thing ...Madhura...u NEVER add Haldi-Mirchi (red powder) in an omlette. Its criminal .. i mean i know its an indian version .. but still , not these spices pleeeez.

  • @MsFromnowhere I never cook eggs without red chili powder, and I'm not even Indian.lol It would be criminal (being Indian) NOT to add the red chili powder. Plus, you can always adjust to your taste, but this dish definitely needed the extra kick. Try it :)

  • I want to try it but I think ill flip it out if the pan lol, you flip it pretty cool

  • keep it up :)

  • # Whhooo....>> i tried it n my mum loved wht i made!! >> thnks a ton madhura!! :D

  • I love the omelet but I hate the bread part .

  • 1:25 termite powder ?

  • Next time, please, do something with that sound ;)

  • Heartburn!

  • good one madhura ---- nice , Am gonna try it tomorrow ,, Thanks prassiboy

  • wow thank you alot its easy to make

  • Were is you Arab monkey hat that the make women wear out there

  • @l00072878 She's not Arab you jerk.

  • Great work madhura... keep going.

  • @vikasrn

    Thanks :D

  • interesting idea and I'll have to try those spices in my omlets... but your sound needs to be better in the video.

  • How can a person whisk an egg with a spoon.. rofl...

  • @minuxlnc You just have to whisk harder. Duh.

  • @minuxlnc It's not very efficient but it works. My grandmother had no forks. She used a spoon to whisk eggs.

  • weirdo. THANK YOU cOme again...

  • This is a very silly recipe. What's the point of toasting the bread if you are soaking the slices in the egg mixture. Won't that make the bread soggy?

  • Thanks!

  • Hey I cooked this. It's really tasty and easy

  • look weird

  • yah thats right; before watching this clip I strugle for preparing the bread omelet.Thank u very much madhura..........

  • See I am not disputing that bread omlette will of course taste better than french toast, my argument is the preparation is easier to make than bread omlette. Of course bread omlette will taste better bcos of the other ingredients and spices, however french toast is made with stale bread, & you make toast first, but the basic result is the same, bread soaked with an egg mixture, therefore it is easier to make french toast than your methodology and of course quicker! I rest my case!!! lol Annie x

  • @Classydesichick

Open your eyes wide and read the word one more time, its DESPITE and not DISPUTE, I hope you understand the difference :D Would appreciate if take some more effort to read comment posted by BokoNOM :D

  • @madhura94 Learn how to properly use english grammar.

  • @CalvinT3hOwnage - dude we are not trying to win literature awards here - be thank ful that madura shared some thing which we all could make use off. its a rude way to criticize some one. If that is the case - why dont you start a video to teach people how to speak Mr,,,,

  • @CalvinT3hOwnage Your a dick Calvin!!! Get lost you racist idiot! She is simply sharing a South Indian recipe, if you don't like, don't try it, simple. Her grammer has nothing to do with it. We can see how she is making it and that's all that matters. Why are you looking up Indian recipes anyway? So that you can correct English grammer. LOSER!!

  • @Deepika1001 lol sorry but you spelled grammar wrong :D

  • Really, some people are retarded. How do you eat toast? With your hands.

There's nothing wrong with touching food while cooking it unless you never wash your hands.

  • Yes I agree, one shouldn't put one's hands in the food unless one is wearing gloves, and I still think that making french toast is probably an easier version with the same result just the spices and chillies etc are missing! Just my humble opinion of course and as an Indian I feel I have this right to say....Sorry its a thumbs down from me!

  • @Classydesichick

Despite, I am pretty sure you haven't tasted it back home...

  • It's like a savoury french toast! I love it. :D

  • @astrangeone

    Thanks :D

  • hate how indians always have to put there hands in the food when they cook, makes me disgusted

  • @Ameerz14 How do you eat toast? With hands. How do you cut vegetables without a shredding machine? With hands. How do you make a dough for bread? WITH HANDS. What's wrong in sometimes using hands, she just touched nothing else.

  • OMG, this is a more complicated way to make french toast....u just dip the bread into the egg mixture and then cook it that way....lei! NO good, sorry!

  • @Classydesichick

Don't be confused between bread omelet and french toast, if you have ever tasted bread omelet in India you will come to know the difference. Thanks :D

  • @Classydesichick ignorant fool! its karpar food, not wii wii de fromage!

  • go back to india

  • @peacenbkind

    Thanks :D

  • It looks like it might be a little spicy for me. She's lovely, but wish the audio was better. It's a bit hard to understand her.

  • It is not the exactly the right way the perpare bread omlet. but its look good.

  • @pirrung123

    Thanks :D

  • i wana fuck dis dish

  • @hdikwrg agree

  • Good job Madhura !

I am a Maharastrian and always looking for good Marathi recopies online.

Thanks for sharing the recopies !

  • It's interesting but a little difficult and time consuming. I cook a spicy toast by soaking the slice into the egg mixture prior to cooking, just like we do it in making a French toast. That's much easier and the toast gives more flavour.

  • I bet thats all they eat hahaha

  • Omg!! Too much of oil...other than it looks nice .

  • I guess this will be a gr8 breakfast to eat.looks yummy.

  • @dheer1231

    yup, it's my hubby's favorite :)

  • hi madura, this is very easy and useful when my wife go to her mom's house.

  • Hi Madhura , I have watched few of your recipes, they look really yummy, I so far tried the Maharastrian mutton curry, it came out awesome. Thank you so so much and please keep up the good work. Ignore bad comments (I am sure with so much of dedication and good recipes these may be few and will be only due to cultural diffirences) and carry on with the good comments. I like the way you present, your style is user-friendly, easy to understand and approachable. Farach chan!

  • this is a recipe to post??

  • @jaunefjb

wow cheese and basil, yum yum... surely will give it a try. Thanks for sharing :)

  • I like burned bread : /

  • HIGH QUALITY AUDIO.

  • Sexi

  • best if you can cut up the bread into small pieces and add it to the omelet. it will look more presentable.

  • thanks for sharing it looks delicious but here is a tip:

Use a whisk because it takes ages to mix it with a spoon.

Here is a question how did it turn to orange when you mixed all the recipies?

  • i think i'm heading back to Manjulaskitchen!

  • use a whisk...

  • this looks so yummy!

As i was goin thru the comments, i cud c madhura giving stern replies..

  • Comment removed

  • em going to do this,, nice

  • THANKS

  • im guessing u dont speak good english :P

  • i dint taste the omlette u made,but darling u r really beautiful , I LOVE U

  • I fix an omelet almost every morning. I stuff it with cheese, marinated onions, chopped tomato and spinach. This will be a wonderful change! I can't wait to try this. We are diabetic so we will use rye or pumpernickel and possibly a flour tortilla which should be delicious. Thanks for all your recipes. It is obvious you are a fantastic chef!
