@SatellaNNW Cleaning it the real way by cleaning the heads on the cilinder: I recently had a DVCAM recorder with more than 1100 drum hours here for cleaning... It probably never saw a cleaning cassette in all those 1100 hours, so when cleaning the head-cilinder with a shammy with some alcohol on it, you could actually see the dirt on the shammy...
@josephvanni Some people say yes, some people will say no: I will say no: cleaning cassettes are so basic in their operation that you really don't need a JVC cassette if you have JVC camera and so on...
In my Camera Were black lines 2, I think there was something with the tape but then i tried something that worked, At the play mode i Pressed Function/Menu button and the black stripes disapeared Replay if this helped.

I have the same problem. blue or black horizontal lines. I did the process to clean with the DVC cleaener but didnt work. Any suggestion? Thanks!

this is a plug four sony . I think , maxell, t.d.k , fugi will be fine . when I used to use audio tapes alcohol did the job .
