Just curious, why did you opt for a single dorm?

@smillley484848 well first and foremost, 80% of the dorms on my campus are singles and the building i lived in was entirely single rooms. but regardless, i wanted a single room for many reasons, i like to socialize but i also really appreciate having my alone time. i wanted to be able to go to bed and wake up when i pleased, call my bf whenever i wanted and not have someone else get in the way of my studying. 2 of my friends were roommates and it was fine, but another friend had an awful roomie

@lovespellbeauty i saw that someone said you look young and you said it's not a compliment--but it really is. when you're older you'll be really happy to look younger than your age, and everyone will be jealous. i'm the same way. :)

@snorg123 you're right, it will be when i'm older, but i don't take it as one right now. i see being told that I look 1/3 of my life younger than i am the same as a 30 year old being told they look 1/3 of their life (40 years old) older than they are. you just wouldn't say that to someone because it is rude. i'm sorry if it seems like i'm overreacting, it just gets old and i don't see why people have to mention it. everyone is entitled to their own opinions but it irks me.

@lovespellbeauty I really liked having a roommate for the first few years but after awhile it gets old. Now I have one roommate but we have sepearte rooms which is good I do miss living with 7 other girls though which was our previous setup. There was always something going on or someone to hang out with :)

@wafflesattiffanys yeah, i see what you mean. it wasn't like i was ever lonely, my best friend lived two doors down, and my other friends weren't far. i'm glad you liked it, but it just wasn't something i wanted to do. i'm sharing an apartment with two other girls starting this fall, but we'll all have our own rooms :)
