  • amazing..............

  • Fantastic talant-perfect harmony-Kingof Swing

  • your sexy(:

  • man , usually i got nothing good to say..actually really like this. nicely done.

  • Where did you get the sheet music for this? I've been looking all over and stumbled upon this. Great job by the way!

  • The 13 people that disliked this are stupid!!

  • Your cover is better than the original =D

  • @romi37 Are you fucking kidding me?

  • Great job! I think I prefer your cover rather than the original =D

  • awesome job pal. keep it up.

  • Your recording had a life to it, almost as if there were four of you standing in the same room singing. you did not rush the tempo. My choir director would say that you had discovered the secret of the "inner beat" . He posted an article about it at our website -- see the Starlite Chorale blog. "What is the 'Inner Beat'?"

  • Small question Dan but, do you have a macbook?

  • @Ruttie2 I sure do. Late 2007 Model.

  • @daniscool99 Dan, if you need a new one you let me know! I got some chinese workers who'll make it true

    for you.

  • @Ruttie2 ? I'm confused, yet intrigued.

  • @daniscool99 I know, one of them new macbook pro's and air's. I got connections with the far east :D

  • @Ruttie2 well I would like a new macbook pro! I'm interested. send me an email about it? dannyjfong@gmail.com

  • @daniscool99 That's the spirit! You know not many people trust me. But ofcourse you can! Why would i

scam a talented young man like you. Only dumbasses do that. -_- i'll send a list of stuff you might want.

  • Would you recommend this mic?

  • absolute crap

  • @Aroddave u cant do it so shut the fuck up i hate haterz like u

  • @gjmel1 it is crap - it's too fast, the tuning is excruciating and i can't hear the bass line at all

  • Forever alone...

  • what microphone is that

  • can u just make a cd already so i can buy it!

  • I LOVE YOUR ROOM

  • AWESOME! what model of powershot camera did you use? :)

  • nice one

  • dude, what is your "sequenseur"?

    good mix!!

  • I just can't get over your talent!! Fantastic!!

  • Now this is your "troubled" performance??? Chortle....chortle..... I am laughing!! LOL I absolutely love what you do. Ellen had the WRONG guy on her show!!!!!!!

  • nice videos, keep up the good work

  • holy mother of god

  • nice set, perfect singing

  • The bari part is fun fun fun.

  • This is awesome!!!

  • I love how peppy this is. It makes me want to dance.

  • NICE !

Please tell me what you think about my version "as long as Im Singing" !

Greetings from the middle of Germany

    Romana

  • I've seen lot's of your song, but this one is my favourite :).

    0:53 is so beautiful !!

  • The tenor souns a little loud to me but that may be just me. I sing tenor (or as some say 1st sop.) in Babershop so I tend to pick it out. Very good job though!

  • You did a great job on this! Actually, I think the tempo is fine. It's just about as fast as Brian Setzer does it with his orchestra (I only reference him as that is the first version I ever heard of this song). :)

  • Wonderfully entertaining singing; such perfect harmony and great facial expressions! Thanks!

  • Excellent job. What hardware and software do you use to do the multivideos. what Mic is that you are using? And who is the arranger of the Darin tune? Our chorus is starting to work on the Tom Gentry arrangement.

  • I'm impressed. Nice job on this difficult song.

  • Great work! Love it.

  • Love it *.*

  • great stuff. where did you find this arrangement?

  • Vocal Spectrum is AMAZING. Great cover!

  • I can has sheet-music? Thx. XD

  • Oh my o:53 is amazing.

  • @Tarudox agreed omg ive watched that bit a hundred times hahah

  • Great job!

  • i love the trumpet sensation at 0:53 :):):)

  • i would love this sheet music. My quartet wants to do it :D

  • wooooooooow great!

  • LOVE IT! i'm a big fan of acapella music anyway, and i love the swing track that you've made into acapella. the harmony is fantastic, i was hooked right from the beginning.

Have you heard Brian Setzer's As Long As I'm Singing? It really is a stunning piece of music. Find it on youtube and listen, your acapella version is so close to it it's brillant! Well done!

  • Wow! I like this a lot! ^__^ You are VERY talented!

  • Happy New Year Danny! I started off 2010 in perfect harmony....by selecting "Play All" on your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your joy and talent....can't wait to hear your next recording. Hi to you and your musical pals. - Nalini L.

  • Amazing !!!! What a gift you have.

  • A Vocal Spectrum cover... oh my gosh, so few people know about this quartet. SO, SO happy that you know and appreciate them.

Excellent multi-track and after trying multi-tracks myself, your talent doing them is really impressive. =)

  • Wow Danny, what a tornado of harmonies that was! Wish we had a real life human duplicating machine to hear you sing that with yourselves... LIVE. Hats off.

  • Adds new meaning to the phrase: "If you want a job done right...do it yourself." ;-)

  • Very, very good - voice has beautiful tone.

  • is that an xlr cable bro?

  • @cr4ccp0t you betcha

  • Sound just like take 6 awesome

  • haha the vibrato at 0:53 is awesome!

  • Very good!!! Love Vocal Spectrum and you did an amazing job!!!! Nice range!!!

  • Super....even fast...this is a great song, and you do it very well. Cool.

  • You are Super Talented!!!

Mikie D. Great Vocals!!! I love it!!!

  • love <3

  • Another great Vocal Spectrum arrangement...which you do wonderfully. How did you get do clever??? Your parents must be so proud of you.

  • yes, it is faster than Vocal SPectrums version, but if anything, doesnt it just make it even more impressive that you managed to keep with it, especially the constant walking bass. You get lifetime supply of kudos =)

  • my favourite is the cover of 'go the distance', but some of the phrasing and harmonies on the doo doo's in this are absolutely phenomenal.

  • Hey Danny! Great cover, man! Keep it up! All your videos are awesome!

  • The trill at 0.53 is godly :D

  • crazy! great work man!

  • your on fire!! hunky! =) oh....and good work -winks-

  • yer a super tenor singing bass parts man. great work brah.

  • This totally amazing....i'm totally speechless.

  • amazing lol xD i can't do this no matter what my voice range is tiny lol

  • you're amazing.

i really hope you know that.

    this is wonderful.

  • That is fantastic, well done mate :)

  • I hate people like you, sorry.

  • i agree. dude, this is so smooth nice voice

  • lol, great comeback my friend. Unfortunately, people like 'rbwtrnava' have no sense of music. I gave something like this a shot. It's of Michael Jackson's Thriller. I don't believe it's anywhere near the caliber of this though. If you'd like, check the video on my channel.

    Regards, Aubrey

  • just asking, why do you hate people like him? ( or her)

  • im guessing because they dont like it and then they comment it if you dont like something then dont watch it.

  • @daniscool99 Don´t feed the trolls ;P

  • @daniscool99 agreed

  • @daniscool99 what do u mean by u hate people like u

  • @gjmel1 It was a reply to someone's comment that said something like "this sucks" or "this is gay" .. something along those lines.

  • @daniscool99 oh ok lol

  • why the fuck you watching this if u hate it? go suck a dick and hate music somewhere else

  • don't even bother to write anything. he has incredible talent.

  • @rbwtrnava If you hate this "gay" stuff, why did you watching it?

  • I wan't to know why you watch it if you hate it.

  • @rbwtrnava

And you're watching stuff you hate becaaaaaause? I think you're missing a few brain cells. Go kick puppies or whatever you narrow-minded idiots do in your spare time.

  • :) Lovee it

  • amazing

  • Incredible. Thanks.

  • This is so good. Your vocal range is incredible!

  • wie geil ^___^ ich musste mir das nochmal anhören!!! xD

    ups sorry

    i say

how nice it is!!! ^___^ i must hear it again!!! xD

  • O.O

  • nice work man.

I think I've got the last chord spelled out but I'm not sure, Isn't Eb6+9?

    Bass on root

    Bari on third

    Lead on sixth

    Tenor on ninth

    ???

  • as far as I can hear, thats right :)

  • Ace!! Love it.

  • Wow i think this is my fav of you. This is amazing!!!

  • You also had much better blend than VS but I suppose that's only fair since you are singing with yourself. Haha. Great job!!

  • Impressive! You should clone Yourself and perform live.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow - you rock! I can listen to this over and over!

  • actually i think Vocal Spectrum does it too slow. You did it a tad fast but it should be closer to this than wht VS did.

  • Thanks, I agree with you on that one :)

  • Pretty d*mn good, but being the tenor that you are, you shouldn't be afraid to turn up the volume on the bass track--that is, unless turning it up makes the sibilance over-bearing (it does tend to be a side effect).

Quick question; if you start with a GarageBand instrument preset, do you tend to just use "Male Basic" under the "Voice" category or do you go with something a little more specific? Also, I'm guessing that you're reverb slider is roughly 20. Is that what you mean by "slight bit".

  • Yeah, I have some bass boosting on my bassline, and that is pretty much as high volume i could put it without getting some weird and gross distortion. I usually just do it under male basic and have a specific EQ I made for each track. Yeah about 20% reverb.. really hard to tell on garageband lol.

  • Much appreciated. That's pretty much what I've been doing, so I'll just have to face the reality that my voice is the thing that needs adjusting. lol

By the way, you should hear how bad*ss this sounds through a pair of Shure E4 earphones. It's my first time playing one of your videos through these things and my mind is blown.

  • Damn, I'm jealous.. I have to listen to them through my 15$ computer speakers or my 30$ Philips headphones that I bought at a future shop in Austria.

  • The great thing about working part-time at a technology store:

    employee discount

I'm a sucker for good sound; fortunately, it would seem that you have some more than acceptable recording equipment.

  • you are amaaazing =)

  • your very good, honest talent keeeep it up !

  • Omg this is amazing!!! Make more please!!! Might I request you sing Mission impossible? :D

oh, btw, did you know that every time you have to hit a high note you lean back and to the right and make the most hilarious face!!! LOL

  • Yeah haha, I lean back so my mic doesn't max out and I make that face because I'm a guy and those notes are very very high! lol

  • This rocks the fuggin house man!

  • You have amazing talent, Danny! I truly look forward to hearing your quartet on April 17th. I think you're going to blow everyone away. I will be cheering for you to get the opportunity to go to Anaheim where I'll be watching from the VIP section. Wouldn't it be great if Ontario could send more than 1 Collegiate rep!! See you at Blue Mountain. :) Al Spence

  • really nice. do you do all your transcriptions yourself?

  • Yes

  • Fun!

  • Wow, this is absolutely amazing. You have a wonderful, clear voice, and incredible range! I love your harmonies as well!

  • Argh, vocal jazz :( The harmony is so strange to me, I can't tell if people are staying in tune half the time... That wasn't barbershop, but it DID seem pretty difficult to sing, so great job!!

  • yes, this is Barbershop.

  • It's sure as hell not contestable barbershop material. Not that that's a bad thing...

  • That is sooo cool. Great job! :) You've got an awesome voice.

  • amazing and wonderful!!

  • Very, and I DO mean very, rarely am I left speechless hearing someone sing but.... *crickets.* That was unbelievable.

  • Thanks, I really appreciate it a lot. :)

  • Fantastic dude !!! Lovin' it !

  • Very nice Danny! I have always enjoyed your vids. You have a great voice. One of the best here on youtube in my opinion. I wasn't surprised to see you are in college to be a voice major. Keep it up buddy and I look forward to hearing more from you. 5*

  • HAHA THAT "payaya" thing IS CREEEPYASS COOL. good shit !

  • LOL thanks!

  • how perfect was this? Simply amazing!! fantastic vocal demonstration... I would like to say some more, but I am in awe.. Why the hell was I not subscribed to your videos yet, man... GREAT!!

  • Wow, another great Multitrack! :)

  • Thank you ^_^

  • saweeeettt!!!

  • hahaha wat een toeval dat ik u hier tegenkom op de barbershop side of youtube :)

  • Haha I do not understand.. is this... Belgium..ese..? :)

  • hahaha it is indeed Flemish (Vlaams). That's what we speak in the Dutch part of Belgium... but it was a message to Jivadev. Funny enough I know that guy since he was the guitarist in my Beatles Band. Weird coincidence really :) nothing important...

  • that is sooooooo cool :D respect

  • W - O - A - W

    absolutely incredible

i love your voice ténor man !!!!

  • Thanks Ced!

  • "Out of control," you say? Dude, that was AWESOME!

    Well done, Danny!

  • gail....

  • SO COOL!!! I love this video! such a great song, this is one for the 'favorites' for sure!

dude, you are such a great singer. I really hope you make more of these videos, like, weekly... do you take requests?

  • I haven't before.. but I like to do barbershop arrangements. And it's hard to take requests unless they can provide me with the charts because I don't have too many myself.

  • that's just freakishly awesome, dude. Incredible job. I've been playing piano (by ear, I don't read music) for years and years, and I couldn't even figure out harmonies like that on keyboards, much less trying to sing them one part at a time. Amazing.

  • Thanks :)

  • dayum! #29mv(c)!

  • Oh Danny, you never fail to make me smile on youtube, even as I sit in an airport surrounded by stuck up snobs missing home!

  • Definitely more jazzy with that tempo!

  • Awesome! I absolutely loved it! :)

  • don't put yourself down, you did great! it sounds better faster anyway

  • thanks :)

  • thats great fun! :o)

  • Daayum, that was a clean ending. I wanted to subscribe and rate after that one.

  • ooo, NICE. intense, that's for sure!
