Unlike the ppl below who dont seem to understand what art your showing, i think you did a good job of showing basic muay boran defences and counters. if you havent already, search for "donnie b" here on youtube, i think you will like him.

@1Geronimo1 Older styles of Muay thai (Collectively muay boran) came from and were designed for the battle field. These are techniques from the war arts which preceded the ring sport muay thai. If you dont know this, clearly you didnt research very well. if you havent researched the parent arts of any particular art, you should do so before commenting, lest you look ignorant. i'd also suggest you dont dismiss arts like jkd or wc, some of their techniques are great supplements for combatives.

1. I'm poor. I can't afford a cam with a better quality. So... If you want a better movie, send me a better cam. Nobody asked you to watch the vid, right? :)

2. I didn't find any sarama music in the youtube archive... I've just selected a random track from the "AudioSwap" function to overwrite the original noisy audio track. That's all... Catching a roundhouse is always tricky, you have to be pretty careful or you could take the blow directly to the rib cage, or catch it all on a bicep and have the arm numb out.

Catching a roundhouse is not dangerous at all. Not even a little. Problem is, too many people dont study the art, and just wing it. When you catch the kick, you are not stationary you move with the kick about 2 inches and come up on your toes, redirecting the force from point at to point C transferring thorough point B. So its like a hockey stick path of the kick. This also lifts the kickers kick 2 inches higher then intended which takes him off balance a little making your next move easier
