  • Danny Miller is one of our best young actors. So proud of him x

  • The best job so far by the actor playing Jackson yet, just lying there. LOL.

  • Such good acting on this programme, yet is is so overlooked!,strong stories, intense themes. It has come a long way since Emmerdale Farm.

And so nice not to have sterotypical "gays" in it.

I did not know that gays are 12% of the population though-

  • i think thats actually the first time that aaron has actually said 'i'm gay'... it was sooo cute.... it was sorta like another step into acceptance ... love him loads... u tell him aaron! xox

  • @mrsjonas4eternity he said it during his trial and some other time(s) after that; and yeah, i like it when he says it too:)

  • SNAP Boy you go. Don't back down. And BTW Gay is normal. WE are 12 % of the population. We are just like everyone else.

  • @stvnrbbns my cousin just came out... can i just say that im very sorry 4 any crap u hav 2 take off people 4 bein hu u r... homophobia is the biggest thing that ticks me off... it annoys me so much... good on ya 4 bein true 2 urself :)

  • luv how aaron twigs bout jerry hittin jackson and why he hates violence!

  • "He's not a bad bloke, just ignorant" - I like Hazel, just so straightforward

  • The conversations in the rooms seem so natural not like all over the top and dramatic so its so realistic when hazel was asking Jerry about his life it made the whole situation seem really hard.

  • OMG Just watch todays episode AHHHHH! Wont upload spoilers but if u missed it u missed out!

  • My mum had a friend who broke his neck in a car accident and was in traction for 10 months, he was told he would never walk again, but with sheer determination and strength of character he has. That was 10 years ago, he walks now with one walking stick!!!

  • @Jendall1 - wow, that's amazing!!!! one tough man by the sounds of it x

  • I dont think Jackson will be brain damaged, well I hope not, that would be very difficult for Marc to portray and very uncomfortable for the viewers, I'm more going along the lines of paralysis, he is in traction after all and they do that for spinal and/or neck injuries, it is literally screwed into the skull to prevent any movement, con't .......

  • Wow! Amazing, thought - provoking stuff. Excellent script, sublime acting, and Aaron is so loveable!!

  • It makes so much sense now as to why Jackson reacted the way he did when Aaron hit him a few months back...

  • Cheers to the soap's writers and producers, what a great story line!!

  • wao!! cheers for you aaron!!!

  • @VoxNocturn

Only thing.. If he does have brain damage.. if he wakes up... there might be a chance that Jackson might not recognize him.. that would suck yes but quite possible :( I hope it isn't that bad :(I want him to come out so aaron can that too and Jackson knows and takes him back anything else would be jsut too damn depressing

  • @jodezak THAT would be heartbreaking. Obviously there is going to be drama surrounding some form of injury (they have made it clear his injuries are serious so I guess there is not escaping it) but I am hoping that they use the process to bring Aaron and Jackson closer rather than it become something that pushes them apart.

  • @VoxNocturn definitely for the better =)

  • I am just floored at the level of top notch drama being shown on here and this is a soap. I think Jerry's revelation and turn around is way too quick but not unexpected given time constraints of the format. Still, high marks to all the actors and writers who really seem to bring their A game on this one in ways we would never see on American soaps or even most drama shows.

  • great acting ... I love aaron ..

  • @VoxNocturn It was great to watch, lets hope what we see now is Aaron evolving and becoming comfortable and proud of who he is, and of course, we need Jackson to wake up because Aaron is incomplete without him.

  • Aaron is such a complex mix of vulnerable child and macho aggression, and what he displayed here was the first glimpse of the man he will become. Danny has to be the best soap character on our screens, the jewel in Emmerdale's crown, I keep watching the scenes between him and Jerry - simply brilliant :)

  • @Jendall1

I am not from there but I would say for the age group.. I am putting money on his acting ablitiy and bests even american actors as well. Some A-Lister actors can't cry on a dime one min and laugh thenext second. I tell you he is going to be huge in teh world. I hope Marc does just as good cause he has huge potential as well. :D

  • @jodezak After reading your comment I was wracking my brain trying to remember another ground breaking actor that I have been as impressed with like Danny Miller and quite frankly, for storyline, dramatic presentation, and overall effectiveness I cannot find a comparison. They have found quite a gem in this one.

  • @JESSJUSTJESS he is amazing, I cant think of anyone to compare him too either, I've said it before and I'll say it again, when Aaron cries we all cry !!

  • @JESSJUSTJESS

I know right... there is just not comparison. They found a real diamond in the rough

  • @Jendall1 I totally agree with, what a great scene!!!

  • @Jendall1 **GLIMMER OF HOPE AWARD**

So much of life is surrounded by potentials, HOPE of the possibilities of what an individual could become. Read this comment and you will understand that there is a process of growth and movement towards what the character may become. If our lives were chronicled in video form the ACADEMY wonders what moment would be revealed to show the FIRST GLIMPSE of the person we would become. Clearly, this writer has found that moment of potential for our hero.

  • @JessAwards thanks x

  • I love Aaron when he speaks with such authority. The young man has earned his stripes. He can be completely clear, grounded, insightful, and to the point. Not even Jerry could resist the truth of Aaron's words. Danny Miller's performance made me want to cheer and cry all at the same time.

  • @alwaysuseless And how far Aaron's character has progressed. The whole situation with Jerry had me on the edge of my seat. There was a part of me that was expecting his assertiveness to lead to physical confrontation. Expertly delivered performance by both actors. Danny's slow move around the bed as he moves toward Jerry increased the tension. When Jerry gets up I can't help but notice the implied physical response from Aaron 4:51 with the lifting of the nostrils. Well delivered.

  • @RofanMalloy That was a great exchange between Jerry and Aaron. I would like to think that it was the talk between those two that helped Jerry realize he needed to accept his son for who is.

  • You know... I really hope we in teh future get to see Jackson's new brother. See that interaction with him. I know it wont be easy if Jackson ends up paryalyzed but i know will be filled with Love :D

  • actually he is breathing by a breathing apparatus. * soap world* yes but In real life he is acting like he is breathing by that thing and not regularly. :D

  • I think the thing that amazes me most about this is just how still Marc is in this. we all talk about danny and his emotions but WOW being as still as Marc is .. just fabulous. It isn't easy to be that superstill in a scene. You might have an itch or a hair in your face but if you look he is like a board!

Danny is emotionally fan flippin tastic yes but lets not discount marc here!

  • @jodezak Yes, laying still for seconds at a time is difficult to pull off. I could never do it! :-)

  • @JESSJUSTJESS

I actually had to do that for one of the drama's I was in ... I did some school / church/ town theater and know it isn't easy to do that :P

  • @JESSJUSTJESS Millions of meditators around the world sit perfectly still for hours. With a little training it is not a big deal. And I don't mean to suggest that sitting still is what meditation is about. Also, Marc only has to be super still when the camera is on him--a few seconds at a time. Making his heart stop was probably difficult, though. :-)

  • @jodezak its stupid, when people are sleeping or in a coma, they still BREATHE !! lol

  • @jodezak / Maybe he was keeping a special part of his body really tight, so that all other parts of his body are relaxed. / Try it.

  • @Mighthore I have come to enjoy and look forward to your comments. I just ADORE double ententes. :-)

  • @Mighthore

see.. now that doesn't work on a female

    and

    @JESSJUSTJESS

LMAO another succor thing right ?

  • @jodezak Okay, so now we have degenerated in the level of conversation, that being said, I am fairly sure there is a part on the female form that can be held tight simply by the use of muscles that is conversely analogous to the male form. (Really, you want to continue this line of discussion?)

  • @JESSJUSTJESS

    * zips lips

  • @JESSJUSTJESS "degenerated in the level of conversation" - don't you regularly? I mean really, Jess - anybody can tell that Jackson's the more relaxed of these two young gents. Aaron's working on it but still needs a lot of practice.

  • Right on, Aaron.

  • I am glad that we also get a look into Jerry and see the workings of his emotions. I think it would be easy to believe that bigotry inhabits monsters and the truth is that it resides inside normal, average people. I know it is my own hopes about life, but I would like to believe it is out of lack of understanding and can be confronted by direct dialogue. In other words, I like the way things are NOW going with Jerry.

  • @JESSJUSTJESS

Oh absolutly! Its not only bigotry in teh gays but also In ethnicities and religion .. and so on..

I think even if there was one person watching this storyline who wasn't well informed.. they should be by the end of this storyline

  • @jodezak So true. I think the process of bigotry begins to fall apart when someone has to deal with and then realize that the object of prejudice is a person, not a two-dimensional object. It is commonality that fractures such unfounded bigotry.

  • @JESSJUSTJESS

    ;-) yup

  • @JESSJUSTJESS Jerry will need a bit more fleshing out when Jackson wakes up for me to decide if I can like him. It's not the regret he's experiencing now, but the follow-through, that will determine it. I'll set small store on his words to Hazel. Just a smidge, mind.

  • @nightobeisance Well put. The truth of the matter is that it is easy for people in times of crisis to decide that they are going to fundamentally alter their outlook and then once past the situation, and the heightened emotions, gradually return to their former intransigence.

  • @JESSJUSTJESS Yes, this. It's exactly the kind of remorse my father always issued - after the fact and short-term only. Jackson will have been heartily tired of feeling his worth demeaned by his own father, and will likely not freely give him another chance. Jerry may yet wind up bitter and alone, especially if he screws up with 18 month old Josh!

  • Aaron (Danny Miller) just looks extra hot in this ep.

  • @mgoodwi1 Yes. Assertive looks yummy on him.

  • Whoa! Aaron didn't blame himself for Jackson's heart stopping - he might be turning the corner on "everything I touch is shite."

And that speech! How to mindfuck your boyfriend's homophobic, scared father in one not-so-easy lesson. Lovely - I do enjoy it when the writer's give Danny Miller some meat to bite down on.

  • @nightobeisance Yes. And you know, once he entered the room and began the conversation with Jerry, he was in control of the conversation. That was so well done!

  • @JESSJUSTJESS Yes, it gave Danny Miller another chance to shine. I've bloody appreciated (and regrettably relate to) his portrayals, from coming out to Paddy, the angers, self-recriminations, and self-deprecations inherent in the character to the public coming out tears and now that first sense of personal worth and power. Brilliantly written, and carefully played.

  • @nightobeisance Oh, and I can't believe I almost let this pass-"meat to bite down on?" Pardon me, naughty mouth!

  • @JESSJUSTJESS

LMAO!!! * is dat part of dat succor thing?

    * sorry couldn't reisist that one!

  • @jodezak You know, I am still waiting for the right moment to use that with you and vox! LOL

  • @JESSJUSTJESS

    LMAO!

  • @jodezak Never resist. @JESSJUSTJESS doesn't and it's a part of his charm.

  • @nightobeisance

I probably should If it takes this way off topic.. as I might be banned from here :P

  • @JESSJUSTJESS You don't think I left that there just for you?

  • @nightobeisance Oh Thing, you KNOW that I think anything I come across is just for me.

  • @JESSJUSTJESS Well that's fine then. A healthy ego is a good thing!

  • **FEATURED VIDEO**

YOU'RE IN MY VEINS is the most recent submission that is being featured on the AWARDS channel. We want to thank @jodezak for binging this well done and well edited fan video to our attention. 21Kate88 has done a really good job at capturing the Aaron/Jackson storyline in this video. You should watch it and leave comments, but be prepared to have your heart tugged on, We can only hope for more from this artist!

  • I'm glad that Aaron went to see Jackson but I would have still like to see a little restraint to going to see him as he does believe that it is his fault. I wanted to see the guilt build up inside of him. For him to be more worried about what he has done. Just to of had a quilty (how do you spell the word that's meant to follow?). I would have liked to have seen him crack under the pressure when seein him up close for the first time. Not just all right mate like it's quickly been forgotten.

  • @bradz3k

    concience

  • @jodezak thats it thank you :D

  • @bradz3k

    ;-)

  • @bradz3k In some ways, I can see your point. I think it finally hit him after Hazel made it clear that Jackson needed him there, that he had to put aside his feelings at being at fault aside and be strong not for himself, but for Jackson. But I don't think we are through with the process of Aaron blaming himself!

  • Always amazes me how ppl think they can treat there kids like trash and still have the nerve to call them self's mom/dad.

Now it makes sense why Jackson reacted to strongly to Aaron wanting payback for that psychopath killing his dog.

  • This is an awesome story.

  • Well of course its Aaron that can understand Jerry and if I am not completely crazy (and let's not jump to that conclusion yet) was able to confront and then reach the human person inside him. They can sure bring out the best sides of Aaron, these writers!

  • @JESSJUSTJESS

Yes.. the writers really know the right things to say and directors know the way to direct danny in how he performs it. Danny Is brilliant in this as his temperament has shifted to that of knoledge and understanding now. :D

So happy he showed up at Jackson's Bedside but now the real tough question remains.. Will he continue to stand by him even if he does have damage to the brain and parylyzed?

  • @jodezak I thought it was amazing the way in one simple scene we learn about Jackson, Aaron forced Jerry to deal with his real emotions (I mean just how far the character of Aaron has come when he is more emotionally aware than the person he is talking to) and we come to understand Aaron's emotional growth and self acceptance. I am continually impressed with this storyline!

  • Brilliant. Danny Miller is a superstar. When he stood up to Jackson's Dad, I got chills. That is actually the first passion he has shown for Jackson when you think about it. Yeah, he loves him, no doubt.

  • I'm glad his dad is waking up now I just hope Jackson is next without brain damage

  • GO AARON!!!!!!!

  • Aaron standing up to Jerry was sooo friggin' perfect! Beautiful to see that power shift, and smart of Aaron to do it so soon in order to preempt any more bullying. (and danny is really shining throughout this storyline!)

  • @axelnelson Absolutely well said! :)

  • yeay!his dad is having a good progress, i like that, and jackson pls wake up =(

  • Great episode

  • I think all has been said and now, except Aaron saying that he loves Jackson. I was expecting them to long the tension between Aaron and Jerry. That Jerry wasn't going to give over or see sense quiet early on. I liked how Aaron got to Jerry though, it was nice to see him fight back. I don't know tho, I was just expecting more.
