well cheapest 4890 (at least in usa on newegg is 225 and free shipping) and 100 for cheapest 4770 which are all sold out lol(no free shipping). the main thing going one 4890 vs 2 of these is if you have a high resolution that needs the 1gb memory. other than that 2 of these will wipe the floor with 4890
Yeah, hardware prices have gone considerably up. Just take a look at RAM prices in summer of last year and compare them to now. At the time, you could get good DDR2 1066MHz RAM at $60; now, you have to pay $80. Before you could also get DDR3 1333MHz RAM for $75; now it's at $95.
At this point it's better to just wait until prices drop (which they probably will).
does all that also works with the XFX HD4770?? nice vid....

Absolutely, you can get two of these for about $240 and they out perform a single 4890, which is still $100 more haha.

ummm. I run on either 1440 by 900, or 1650 by 1080 depending on the game. widescreen 21 inch monitor.
Would a single 4770 run most games at mid to high settings, if not max?

yeah man
joshua12345676 2 years ago
@nfarnham2008

Um, what? Cheapest prices I could get.
Biostar Radeon HD 4770: $109.99
X2: $219.98
HIS Radeon HD 4890: $189.99
(Prices from Newegg).
Atheismrulez 2 years ago
wow, the 4890 is actually more expensive now than it was 6 months ago? Cheapest now is $199 + ~$8 shipping XFX HD-489X-ZSFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB.
I'm pretty fed up with my 4770. Best I can get is 820/815
iamjames2 2 years ago
Really? That's weird. Almost everyone gets at least 850MHz Core and 1GHz Memory.
Atheismrulez 2 years ago
@Atheismrulez i dont bother going above 890mhz(memory) and 820(core), my case doesnt have enough fans

Thanks, good luck with the card, to bad it isn't 256bit :), but then we would be paying $160 more haha.
