  • The changing masks is a classic feat from Chinese traditional entertainment. I have seen entertainers in China do it with maybe 20 mask changes in the same amount of time this guy did 3! They use silk masks painted like Chinese opera characters, layer upon layer on the face, peeling one off at the time with incredible speed and showmanship. It takes a bit of neat miming to create the proper effect of totally over the top (this happens after the 10th mask falls lol)

  • My left ear feels lonely

  • incredible

  • This dude is legit, I would have to say this is the single most impressive bit of sleight of hand I've seen

  • @mh1402 and rocco silano

  • I remember seeing this when it aired, and the mask routine gave me nightmares. It's still so sick to watch. I've been trying to remember Jeff McBride's name for years, and I thank you for posting this.

  • pobres estafadores de mierda

  • @daniel19111989 ignorante.... eso es arte...

  • I wonder if he could make his ego vanish.

  • He is Gambit! (O_O)

  • hhahahahaah..just joking..coz those masks are like the masks of the jabbawockeez..

  • 0:45 he stole the mask's of the jabbawockeez..

  • @keithcedricalon lmfao!! are you kidding me?? haha this video was in the 90's! the jabawokees was like..what...3 years ago lmao

  • @wonkytonk

LOL i remember watching this as a kid. This just means that A. We're either old, or kids these days don't get to watch awesome stuff like we did ha ha ha ha.

  • @wonkytonk WHY SO SERIOUS?????

  • @keithcedricalon next time, you should check your stupid statement before you post on youtube

  • @keithcedricalon hey dwg na he didnt he cool and hot boy

  • HGe was so young back then.

  • WOW

  • Anyone know a better clip of this performance from WGM2 that doesn't have Chinese subtitles and having the audio lagging?

  • its about personality and presentation and this guy has one of the greatest

  • Honestly, I don't like much that performance. He has good skills, but his sleight of hand isn't real great and his pivot is terrible. Also, it's more artistry than magic. He is a great magician but there are some other magicians away better than him.

  • @roidfreak mate this guy is a fuking authority on sleight of hand!! and as for other magicains there is no such thing as a better magician when ur at his level. its all about style and hus to say which is better. as he is at tht level he is the best at wt HE does cos no one else can do it . becuase its his.

  • Seriously, man, idk if you study/perform magic, but I do both and I can assure you that Jeff struggles a lot to perform the moves, so it's nothing natural. His biggest problem is the pivot that swings too much so spectator can figure out the move. I posted one 'bad' performance of mine as response but just to show you how you can look more natural in production/pivot. But if you want to see a great performance, watch Peter Marvey's and so you'll understand what I mean.

  • @roidfreak Lance Burton also is pretty hardcore with his sleights.

  • @Prometheus666333 I totally Agree!!! Every Lance's performance I watched was outstanding and his skills are amazing!!! I love his doves routine!

  • agree with you on the pivot...Marvey is a fantastic manipulator he does look more polished than jeff but you have to remember that when Jeff was learning there was no easy way to find out the information,,,,,I think Marvey would have learnt alot from McBride and Jeff Sheridans publications

  • You're right! Even Stephane Vanel must have learnt with their publications. Actually, it's still hard to find information about multiple card production nowdays, you have to learn by trying yourself. However, even tho it was easier for Marvey, he undoubtedly goes beyond everyone!

  • @roidfreak I know for a fact that Mr McBride uses the larger motion of the arm sving to cover the smaller motion of the pivot. For you to say you can do anything better than Mr McBride, would be like if someone wanted to teach Michael Jackson to dance...

  • I Love Jeff McBride..

  • OMG I am so mad my mom met this guy and I wasn't there and he was here in Barstow just getting stuff from my mom's store OMG I wish I was there plus I miss this video I remember watching this when I was like 10 OMG one of the greatest Magicians Alive I wish I could do real magic

  • Comment removed

  • THIS IS THE REAL MAGIC.!!!

  • i like this guy better than chris angel cause this guy does real magic

  • @abc123jesusl Alright, thanks for sharing.

  • ARgh the audio is out of sync, and it's killing me.

  • u obviously dont know wat your talking about cos card manipulation and card sleight can be extremely difficult to master to the degree jeff has done. any1 can do stage illusions like david copperfield. all u hav 2 do is dance around on stage and show off ur hot assistant

  • Card Manipulation is one of the hardest trick around done without gimmicks and pure sleight of hand. I agree that Copperfield and Burton are great magicians but do you also know that they do use gimmicks to perform their stage tricks? You cant judge the whole card manipulation as "pathetic" as I dont think many professional magicians can perform such a fine act

  • @JeffreyAvril lance burton is a fantastic card manipulator, copperfield not so much.

  • @JeffreyAvril - sir u know the music use of mr jeff mcbride?

  • @jhenjao25

Jeff McBride has his own personalized music for him to use. It's not for sale anywhere

  • @jhenjao25 The music for this routine and others from him was composed by Jordan Ruddess, a great musician who know plays for Dream Theater. For others routines Jeff usually used Kraftwerk, Vangelis and other music from the 70s. Lately he has been using music composed by his wife, Abbi Spinner McBride. But, if you are a magician, of course you know that each of us has to find its own music style.

  • whats up with the gay hand movement fooh? @ 2:25

  • Gayass hand movements they make him look scary!

  • presentation

  • you have to remember this video was made in the 90's and almost everything done in the 90's was weird

  • ganda nang magic moh

  • okidoki ill search

  • anyone knows any tutorial for the trick in 3:06??

  • Comment removed

  • Buy Jeff McBrides Art of Card Manipulation Vol 1-3 and you will learn (years of practice)

  • lol

  • love it!

  • ahaha the card spitting at the end

  • that trick at 1:05 blows my mind. where does the feather go?

  • i guess its like the appearing wand which is like a piece of paper or plastic which is rolled up like a spring and a feather attached to it!!

  • what a great performance...he looks so young and creepy in this video lol. it fits his stage persona really well

  • Jeff McBride is no flash in the pan. He's been a world class magician for decades. If you've never seen his act, you've missed a great show.

  • A genius of the pivot move

  • His pivot skills are a joy to watch

  • hey guess what potpie,i juggle,i am also a professional magician so watch wut u say about jeff, you try and meet up to his standards i would love too see that!!

  • buen video..... buenasooooooo

  • at 5:07 you can see a card coming from behind that he grabs and flings forwards

  • Haha potpie is a fag ad comments on videos cause he has no life haha

  • "Look im a dumbass and dont understand what magic is so I run my mouth cause I cant do it and Masterbate to Criss Angel" your stupid potpie

  • TY i couldnt have said it any beter my self =)

  • I can do card manipulation to. His act is amazing :-)

  • over the top music.

    fire the music director

  • where did the cards came from/

  • WOW just amazing this is magic!!

  • he is an amazing teacher! i was at the world magic seminar and he sat down with some of the kids and helped us on some of our card work

  • What a loss. If he kept on developing he would be another household name like Doug Henning. To bad that he must constrict himself to fir a "SHOW BIZ FORM" rather than be an all out artiste he has the talent the energy the vision and the MONEY

  • Sincere reality check I have been a big fan of Jeff Mcbride since the New York Magic Symposium1982 He was brilliiant and still has many brillinat attirbutes which can be traced back to the 70's 80, and early 90.s. The problem now is that his bookers dictate his form.

  • Speed of Hand!!

  • lol

    I thought - finally! Cards!

  • lol @ alan thicke.

  • very very good is a crack

  • I've met Jeff in real life, what a role model. I also have his email and he sends emails to each and everyonen of his fans his met in his life. What a terrific magician. If you catch one of his cards it brings good luck to you as it says on his cards. I have pictures of him and me and I just admire them. Jeff McBride is A Genious. That is all I have to say. Thank you.

    - Shadowblaster1

  • hes an amazing magician but at 1:17 you can clearly see that he lifted his mask up i am very sorry if i am wrong i was just wondering if i was right

  • Well it wasn't meant to be a trick. as in pushing the mask on his head.

its just Magical how you can create mystery with masks.

  • oh ok ty for the info :D

  • i was gonna say that

  • haha hes one of my good friends

  • great.. just awesome -b

  • He is a talented magician but it is a dated performance. I would like to see something more recent of his. I am not a big fan of this kind of stage magic, where is is more like watching dance than illusion but that is just me. Jeff is clearly one of the best.

  • I saw his awsom show in israel.

he is the most intelegent magicien, but still, he is thrilling and his show is exciting.

I'm travelling this summer to las-vegas, to see him agian and learn from him, I'm sure he'll be awsom.

    he really kick's ass.

  • I agree i Love his show in vegas "Worlds Greatest Magic Show" it was always sold out. I was so fortunate to see his brilliance before we left vegas back to Colorado. I took a lot of experience from that occasion and that inspired me to be a magician.

  • dude! damm! :D

you have just made me even more hungry for magic!

    I ca't wait :P

  • i think he is better than criss angel

but not famous than criss angel...

  • well, I think he's better than criss angel at card manipulation but not at close up effects, nor biggest stunts, u can't really compare jeff and criss because they do different magic, jeff is more into card tricks and masks, and he's a master doing that, but criss is really good doing other magic so, I'd say that they are both excellent

  • Comment removed

  • chris angel cant do stage magic because he relies on camera tricks

  • lol not more famous than criss angel? hahah!!! this is the worlds most known magican. he is concidered a legend withing magic dude:P

Criss Angel is all fake. this guy is real. hes the best of the best!

  • it is real lol

  • Well, it's not computer generated if that's what you mean. Skillful, not fake.

  • Jeff mcbride is the man

  • 3:18

  • Whose better at ONLY CARD MANIPULATION? Criss Angel or Jeff McBride?

  • None of them ... Rene Lavand .

  • LOL!

  • does anyone know where the music is from?

  • dayum nigguh u hella ugly. got sum big lips bloood. Star Wars is an epic space opera franchise initially conceived by George Lucas. The first film in the franchise was simply titled Star Wars, but later had the subtitle Episode IV: A New Hope

  • Hey, Criss Angel is a real magician. You have to be pretty skilled to get your own TV special.

He is not good and BASTA

i Like him but he is not a real Magician

  • david copperfield is the man best magician in the world

  • Wow....jeff has his gay face emotion when he does his card tricks.....and can anyone tell me how he threw his card at the end? Amazign how he does it.
