That's seems like a pretty simple song, but I think it is far better than all the songs on Octahedron (except, maybe, With Twilight As My Guide).

@canthinkverywell I agree, art has nothing to do with complexity. People often confound art with handcraft and say art should be really complicated to do, so that few people can achieve that. Nevertheless, my musical taste often goes in the direction that I like strange, unconventional and more complex stuff. But still I have to admit that Aegis really touches me with its simplicity. :)

@NicoA47 well plus if you learn music theory and compositional technique, there's no such thing as "simple" or "complex," there's just stuff that uses different words to describe it that sound more interesting to people who don't fully understand the concepts. then there's stuff that's simply difficult to play on an instrument...shred guitar stuff and whatnot. that's often confused as being "complex"

@tuntemat "Aegis" seems to be the official title (or at least part of it). It was written that way on the setlists. "I'm Not Running Away/Where the Children Should Be Seen Not Heard" is just the title that fans gave it before it was known what the real title was.
