  • I love the cover by Mr IGGY.POP !

you even feel the shivers on the backbones!

  • @JayLF. Poster is from Oz...I'm quite the writers will be glad to accept royalties (if the song hasn't passed into public domain). You Tube is a very International site and people who haven't visited Oz wouldn't know too much about Coles Supermarkets!!

  • Normie Rowe & Coles supermarkets have absolutely murdered this song for their new ad. If you are going to watch it, I suggest you bring a rope to hang yourself....

  • Dig it man!!!

  • Sounds like an early Deep Purple playing this. It's ace!!!!

  • Check "Rosetta West - Shakin' All Over" for a pretty wild cover.

  • I really like this prerockstyle. It gives me the vibrations of a bygone era. A lot of band have been inspired by "JK &The Pirates". 1965 was a very interesting year. I have found a lot of unknown band thats incredibly great. Listen for example to THE ZETTLERS and the tunes "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah".

    Right on, right on!!!!

  • guess who did this, a punk band did this, the who did this, and ac/dc back in black riff was inspired by this

  • *clicks The Who - Live at Leed's version in the Suggestions tab*

  • the original is by the difinitive pirates Alan Caddy, Brian Gregg, Clem Cattini and Joe Morretti....

  • prefer the original, dont like the organ on this.

  • @bassman398 yes, the organ is not all that great here.

  • @bassman398 pretty sure this is the original, if not then who is?

  • @TOXINO14 This is a remake by the same band.

  • @TOXINO14 probably Vnice Taylor

  • Brilliant..

  • Love it. Thank you for sharing. :)

  • @dollydot123 my pleasure.

  • I didn't expect to like this version, but it is Johnny Kidd and I haven't heard it before and I'm delighted that you put it up, though I prefer the original.

Anyone out there came across some Johnny Kidd footage?

  • Wanda Jackson & Jack White did a great job with it.

  • Never heard this recording before. I am guessing this new version was done in response to the Chad Allan and the Expressions (Guess Who) version that brought in the keyboard.

  • inspired the riff for Back in Black

  • Denna låt inspirerade även angus young att göra "Back in Black"

  • Don't forget the ORIGINAL riff was invented by Joe Moretti. Worth seeking out his work.

  • Beautiful version **********

    Thx man!

  • my pleasure.

  • Ah..the riff that inspired millions to pick up a guitar. Mick Green was a legend in the same way as Link Wray. (R.I.P)

  • Mick Green, RIP

  • I like this version and also the Normie Rowe version.

  • wheres the original 1960 version by johnny kidd

  • I figured that one was pretty well-know, which is why I put the 1965 version up. I may put the '60 version up if no one else has, though.

  • you guys should try the live at leeds... i like this version a hell of a lot better than the vince taylor one i listened to, but with ox, moonie, pete, and roger, this song is just perfected

  • There are even better Who versions than the Leeds one. Do a search for the song title plus "Amsterdam" and then another search for the song title plus "Filmore East". Absolutely incredible.

  • Thanks for posting this.

I havent heard this version before.

Only the one from 1960 and of

    course The Swinging Blue Jeans

    from 1964

  • I would have like to ear the version from the who at their begining

  • I somewhat prefer Vince Taylor's version of the song, he made the song somewhat wild and sensual. That first riff is TOTAL CULT though.

  • Right, VT adds a touch of voodoo to the song that elevates it to a higher sphere with the kind of kinkyness that touches the rotten soul of us Cramps fans. Shake Babe, shake!

  • Chad Allan and the Expressions (The Guess Who) is a good version

  • Yes, that is in fact my favourite version!

  • great song, great band.

i love van morrison's version of this song.

  • Iremember it well, good old days

  • look hard and you will find the original.. i enjoy listening to my copy!

  • good verson, put in my playlist because

the original is not available anymore
