  • Great info! Thanks!

  • Great job! Thanks for the information. I was wondering if that particular compression bag you had came with the sleeping bag, or was purchased separately. If so, what brand was it?

  • @fxE20170 better late than never. I was using the compression sack that it came with but now I don't use a compression sack at all. I stuff my sleeping bag without a stuff sack at the bottom and stuff everything else in on top of it. I find that it lets me use more room in the pack. Note: I do put a 4 mil contractor (garbage) bag as a pack liner so it will remain safe in adverse conditions. I use my compression sack now for my tent and put the poles and stakes in a side pouch.

  • what do you think about sleeping pads and about pillows for backpacking?

  • @manohman907 that is a good question. I'll see if I can put another video together.

RIght now I am using a Thermarest Prolite 3, and I use the bladder from a 3 Liter box of wine as my water container and then I blow it up a little bit at night and wrap it in a fleece to use as a pillow.

  • another thing, a down when wet = not so good :).

I in So. Cal always have packed a 0 degree on all my hikes and have been ok, but during more in summer i'm going to buy a 30-40 do to the fact i don't want to sweat :)

  • Excellent information! Thanks!

  • incredibly helpful, thank you.
