  • great video going to see if i can get this to work but makes sense why i couldnt change the settings

  • excellent! worked right the first time! thanks for this!

  • i managed it to record loops, but when i play them on the SD´s they are never sync i tried setting the clock to master and nothing changes the samples just wont sync any ideas?

    its not the bitgrid though

  • Explained a different way:

"Input FX SEND (EXT)" set to the channel you have your input on.

    - In my case, I'm using my microphone input on my Audio8DJ so I use input 5/6.

"Output FX Return" set to the channel you want the sound to come out of.

    - In my case, I'm routing Deck C, Deck D, and the Loop Recorder to the same output 5/6.

  • do you know how to play sample tracks with just 2 channel mixer which are already being used by 2 turntables?

  • Korg make terrible DJ mixers.

  • how would you do this but keep it playing in the loop recorder and overdub (without moving it to a sample deck)

  • @craigkc Is there any way to have the output play directly from the loop recorder? without dragging it onto a sample deck. Im also using just a 2 channel mixer but my recording goes to input 7/8 via recorder out.

  • the korg zero 4 has like 8 sets of out puts including routing the master so I don't see why you need to use that speaker interface but I'm sure you know your setup better than anyone. Good vid!

  • For all those who are experiencing latency in your recorded samples and haven't solved the problem yet, I've managed to get things (mostly) working w/out latency. If you use an audio bridge like Soundflower, you can route your deck outputs back through Traktor pre-sound card. This way, there's no latency. Fiddle with your outputs/inputs to get your personal config just right with your soundcard.

  • What about bringing the output of the loop recorder back into another channel on an external mixer like an FX loop? I've been trying this but it creates what sounds like a feedback loop when I turn the loop recorder channel up on my UREI 1620 mixer. At low volume it sound slightly behind the track that is currently playing and as I turn it louder it sounds like a feedback loop.

Dragging it sr8 to the sample deck will not allow me to overdub with the loop recorder...

  • I have the KORG ZERO4 w/ Traktor and it works perfectly. I beleive we solved this 2 years ago? lol

  • @theRoyal1 On OSX it runs stable from what I understand from others. Windows was another story altogether. With a later version of TSP along with a Korg utility it did work but there isn't an x64 driver and the x86 driver would lock and squeal within a few hours on 4 different PCs including 2 with Texas Instruments IE1394 controllers (recommended by Korg). I do think NI got their shit straight eventually but Korg never did so the solution as a whole was worthless to me.

  • @Craigkc the 64bit drivers are a joke and support from KORG is a bigger joke! There is a hacked driver on korg's forums that i've tested and it works. I use the x86 drivers though JIC. I recommend a music only setup for gigs ie, dual boot..etc. But, aorn TRAKTOR and the ZERO 4 work perfectly together.

FYI, That "squeal" comes from the buffer settings. I have personally tested this Just make sure you update your actual pc mfg./windows IEEE drivers. On my HP's I have a JMicron 1394.

  • Anyone knows how to set it up on xone 3d?? (I have an audiofire 2 soundcard too)

  • the tape out is better than using booth...

  • LOL, I have selected correct output recording with no luck. I think I need a new mixer with more than 2 channels?!!

  • There is a waveform and the sound is unmuted but I still don't hear anything. I am using the same connection as I do to record my mixes - so mixer out to channel D of my audio 8.

  • @RaverAtHeart1 Good, you're almost there. Check the output routing for which sample deck you dropped it in then. Those sample decks replace regular decks and act exactly the same as far as audio output is concerned. Make sure they have output routing (Deck C/D probably) in 'Audio Setup'.

  • Wicked thanks! I got it to work but when I load the recorded loop in to a sample slot on the sample deck there is no volume.....any ideas?

  • @RaverAtHeart1 Could you see a waveform in the sample slot? If so, it recorded correctly you probably just need to unmute it (little red speaker icon on the right side of the sample slot when you mouseover) or make sure that deck (Deck C or D?) have a correct output in 'Audio Setup'. If you don't see any visual waveform then the recording is actually empty you need to check the input, volume, and input assignment inside traktor for the EXT input.
