A closely related bill, HR2751, passed and was signed by President Obama earlier this year, but it exempts producers/processors with less than $500,000 average annual sales (averaged over 3 years), adjusted for inflation. Search the text of the bill for "EXEMPTION FOR DIRECT FARM MARKETING" or for "$500,000".

Some of the more violently racists attempted to start their own party called the "Dixiecrats", but they did not become republicans. During Reagans Administration Debt/GDP ratio increased 18.5%

That's interesting. The way I see it, the Republican spending was necessary every time to bail us out of a Democrat-dug hole. In 1981 Reagan was tasked with a recovery that was in the making since LBJ's time. In 2001, Bush II was immediately handed a tech stock market bubble that had begun to burst in the 3rd quarter of 2000. After that, he was given the Mortgage crisis that Bill Clinton helped brew and admittedly stated that he didn't understand the implications of what he had done. Hmmm..

Reagan's actions utilized primarily supply-side economics to encourage growth. It worked.
Bush II used supply-side economics along with a 'stimulus' to lower income earners for a demand-side effect that spurred buying and quickly got us out of the spiraling market that occurred because of the tech sector bubble burst. Democrat style punishment of the supply side while moderately spurring the demand side will shrinking production, killing jobs and cause pure inflation. ECON is your friend.

Did you take Econ? Government spending is spending against a deficit that comes as a result of raising the money supply. Raising the money supply dilutes the value of your dollar and requires tax increases in the long run. Tax increases kill jobs. Inflation is directly proportional to velocity of money, money supply and the fed's discount rate. FDR's Treasury Sec. in 1939 said, "We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work." Bye...

You mean the oil embargo of the 70s was the democrats fault? When Reagan took office the debt was at 700 billion he left office it was 2.8 trillion. Most of that spending was on defense against an enemy that couldnt even feed its people. Since 1976 we've 20 years of republican presidents and 12 of dems. Everytime the rep left us worse off than when the dem came in. The numbers don't lie.
