Soviets did their criminal part of "pacification" in Katyn/Kharkiv/Mednoye massacres of the Polish intelligentsia and officers. Germans and Soviets, in order to do so, "had to" break their non-aggression pacts with Poland of 1932 (Russia) and 1934 (Germany), signing their own German-Soviet Ribbentrop-Molotov Non-aggression Pact in 1939 against Poland.
About 7,000 leaders and professors, teachers and priests (labeled as suspected of criminal activities) were subsequently massacred at various locations including at the Palmiry Forest. The others were sent to German concentration camps.
AB-Aktion (Außerordentliche Befriedungsaktion) (English: Extraordinary Operation of Pacification), was a Nazi German campaign during World War II aimed to eliminate the intellectuals and the upper classes of the Polish people and of Polish nationhood. In the spring and summer of 1940, more than 30,000 Poles were arrested by the Nazi authorities in German-occupied Poland.
Out of four conferences, the third took place in the famous Tatra Mountains spa of Zakopane in Poland, and is the most remembered (the Zakopane Conference). From the Soviet side, several officers of the NKVD participated in these meetings, and the Germans brought a group of experts from the Gestapo.

Since Poland has helped fight for other countries as well as their own with out much rewards in return this shows the good faith of the poles and ignorance and ruthlessness of some others. Polish people are one of the hardest working people on Earth! Resilience and optimism are two great words to describe Poland's tough history.
As it comes to Germans I'm not going to say much, they invaded the country to start WWII, captured the most educated doctors, professors, officers, etc and executed them so that the highest intelligence would be wiped out. It's horrible what the Germans did to people not only would they try to kill you, but in some cases your family. :(
It's also a shame Poland is only 1/4 of what it used to be in the past. Of the biggest cities lost after World War II and which were part of Poland for many years are Vilnius (Wilno) and Lviv (Lwow). Lviv is still considered to many Poles in a figurative sense still part of Poland since it was such an important city in the countries history for aproximately 600 years until it was stolen by the Russians all of a sudden.
Great, great video! Poland and its people deserve a lot of credit. Their history is incredible and they revolutionized so many things. They had one of the greatest, musicians, politicians, astronomers, kings and generals, scientists etc. in history. I even found out that the person who discovered adrenaline was Polish and that Poland also made the first diesel powered tank.
Despite having a successful history in the early times, the 19th century and most of the 20th century have been hell because of wars, communism etc. John Paul II was a perfect sign of hope for the future. I'm glad things are normal in Poland now, but they still don't get too much respect. They haven't gotten help for almost anything and pretty much had to fight for it all.
Whatever people from other countries will say they have to admit that Poland is full of hard working educated people, tasty beer, beautifull woman and good scientist!!! Poles started Warsaw's uprising since they tough they are going to cooperate with russian army, which suddenly stopped and let nazis kill almost all Poles in Warsaw. Then Nazi fall back and russian army came to the city of Warsaw - ruined in more than 99% and more than 95% of citizens were dead.

As it comes to Germans I'm not going to say much, they invaded the country to start WWII, captured the most educated doctors, professors, officers, etc and executed them so that the highest intelligence would be wiped out. It's also a shame Poland is only 1/4 of what it used to be in the past. Of the biggest cities lost after World War II and which were part of Poland for many years are Vilnius (Wilno) and Lviv (Lwow). Lviv is still considered to many Poles in a figurative sense still part of Poland since it was such an important city in the countries history for aproximately 600 years until it was stolen by the Russians all of a sudden.

Great, great video! Poland and its people deserve a lot of credit. Their history is incredible and they revolutionized so many things. They had one of the greatest, musicians, politicians, astronomers, kings and generals, scientists etc. in history. I even found out that the person who discovered adrenaline was Polish and that Poland also made the first diesel powered tank.

Despite having a successful history in the early times, the 19th century and most of the 20th century have been hell because of wars, communism etc. John Paul II was a perfect sign of hope for the future. I'm glad things are normal in Poland now, but they still don't get too much respect. They haven't gotten help for almost anything and pretty much had to fight for it all.
