The screen thing is because the flashes are at 60 (50?) Hz. Your camera only shoots at 30Hz. The flashes and the camera shutter don't line up causing the same effect as a car wheel appearing to rotate backward.
it fucks up your camera because the fire in the microwave isnt powered by gas its powered by electricity and the arc is shooting out electromagnetisim which in turn jacks with your electronics
only if they're electrolytic capacitors. regular ones (layered) don't have polarity until they're charged. once you charge them, their polarity is established. when they're dumped, you can re charge em the other way around and the polarity will switch.
I read on the net that if you use a bowl of water, the egg doesn't explode but like bccritters had to wipe sprayed egg from allover the kitchen, ceiling included...
when i first met my wife, she got the idea to hard boil an egg in a cup of water in the microwave. the explosion was so loud, i jumped out of my chair, well over 100 feet away (industrial warehouse). the poor lady eating her lunch next to the micro was covered in half boiled egg.
Recorded with a toaster........

@TeravoltOrg
So this is pretty much identical to the problem of filming a TV? Thanks.

I can't believe this shit. I used to have four and a half stars....

@SmackheadPedo There are 15 likes (one by me) and 2 dislikes. That is about equivalent to about 4.4 stars.

@soundspark
Yeah thanks,
The microwave and everything else you see here are actually now gone, the school was demolished about three years ago.

Those things explode like fire cracker just by putting too much voltage through them!
Try it, try it!

They also explode if hooked up backwards, whether accidentally or on purpose.
soundspark 2 years ago
some of them work either way.

I thought it was assumed in this video that electrolytic capacitors were being blown up.
soundspark 2 years ago
i dunno. it didn't look as though these things failed from being hooked up the wrong way, but it looked like they were over charged.

was that a fully charged capacitor?

If only we'd thought of that...

probably would have blown the door off.

That is one of the oddest love stories ever. Congrats =D
You should have an egg fight every anniversary.
