  • to many frogs in aquarium!

  • They all grew fine.Filteration makes up for over population.

  • What did you do with all that frogs:o? you kept them? o_O?

  • my frog is the size of the african froggy but i have no idea wat it eats. so i tried to feed it frog and tadpole pellets and dried fish flakes. but im not sure if my frog eats it. but somehow he is stil alive after about 4-5 days. so does that mean hes eaating or starving to death?

  • Cool you should breed endangered frogs like this for releasing into the wild or something.

  • how did you do the 40% water change? I always find it so difficult to chenge the tadpoles water

  • Use two white plastic cups. One is to pale water out with.the other is to pure the water from the cup.You should be able too see the tadpoles against the white cup.Plus if you lose a few you will have lots to spare.I have found that a bottom vac and a white bucket work the same way.Hope this helps you.

  • that's really cool.

  • They were about one inch. I gave most away and sold a few at local pet store. I keep a few for me that had cool color variations.

    Thanks for comment!

  • about how large are they at that time? What are you going to do with them all?

    They are soooooooooooooooo cute

  • hiya, im from the u.k and recently got myself 2 albino clawed frogs, and was wondering if you could give me some advice, i keep seeing on the net about them being banned im most states of america, what treatment would i need to get prevent my little fellas spreading any disease.

    thanks from ant

  • Benzalkonium chloride baths. You may need to see your vet for treatment. I think the U.K. Has laws restricting it's use. Thanks for your comment and concern.

  • Do you treat the water for possible Chytrid Fungus?

I guess you'd not want to infect your local neighbourhood wildlife hey?

  • These are for the captive aquarium hobbie. I will never release them to nature. My adults breeders were treated. No worries, given the fact that Xenopus Laevis are not subject.

  • But it's captive frogs that carry it. That's how it spread in the USA.

When infected ACFs or their water come in contact with other amphibians it infects and kills them.

The fungi also remains active in the waste water for up to 7 weeks. I guess you bleach your waste water to be sure?

See CF on our website for more on how not to spread this killer.

  • Waste water goes to sewage treatment plant.

  • Should be OK most of the time, but the pipes do leak, flood or get broken.

Owners of untreated ACFs need to disinfect their hands of course as it is spread by water droplets. Great to hear you got yours treated.

We advise new ACF be treated by the pet shops to get rid of the fungi. But I guess it's maybe too late for America and Canada, damage has already been done.

ACF owners in Europe and other countries need to treat their pets before they decimate their local wildlife.

  • Walmart carrys them.

  • Cute frogs! And where did you get that tree trunk cave from? it's really cool :)

  • So how many were they in the end?

I wanted to get my ACF Rolando some company but I feared I would end up with hundreds, and I centainly don't have space (even if I wanted to).

Now that he's grown it's easier because I know he's a male, so I would just have to get him another male for him to have a friend.

I was also thinking of getting a black moor or any similar fish, but almost everywhere I was recommended it wasn't a good idea. What about your experience?

    Thanks!

  • Congratulated!!!

But what are you going to do with them???

  • I will be giving them away. Only keeping a few with piebald color.

  • thats cool

  • thanks!

  • i would buy them from you but they are illegal in my state

  • Day 38!
