Sorry, but all of you are little bit stupid. It was big tragedy at Czech history, lot of peoples (woman and children) was transported to the realy "hell on the earth" - SS camps. Their fathers, husbands, brothers... was killed! It wasn't joke, it is reality, unfortunately, you stupid!!!!

The goverment was even more reticent about discussing what happened to the 3 million ethnic Germans who had been driven across the borders into Bavaria, losing their possessions, and in a high number of cases their lives.

@Seadweller451E I would guess that there were a few Jews in Lidice, but this was a Czech town, with Czech people (ie. Slavs, who were also seen as being inferior to Germans, btw). So, it doesn't have much to do with Jews. Lidice, along with another town nearby, was burned to the ground and its population was shot (except for some children, who were sent to Germany for "re-education). My great-grandfather gave 10, 000 krowns for the rebuilding of these 2 towns at the time; he lived in Svitavy.
