This plane is absolutely beautiful in my opinion. While the 747-8i has not seen the success that the 747-8F has seen, I believe that the 747 will be around for a long time to come in the future even if only as a freighter in the years to come. I think the demand for very large passenger jets like the 747 and a380 is limited and that is why the numbers are so low for both relatively speaking.

But with such poor sales of the Intercontinental, Airbus appear to have seized the market with so many more airlines buying it. Can't figure out why even home airlines won't buy the 748. Must admit, the Airbus may not be the prettiest bird but it certainly seems more advanced in most areas and passengers love it.

Well I am glad you enjoy burgers. And to solve the crisis of having too little meat for the amount of bread, multiple procedures may be done. One easy fix is to order a double cheeseburger. American made aircrafts isnt safe. Only thing Americans care is money, not safety. 70% of all aircraft accidents are caused of American made planes. A380 will make air tarvel much better than it is currently because a full A380 makes more money than any other airliner that is currently in service. An A380 series starts making profit at 65% full capacity.
Well when those 747 need to replaced. Do you think airlines will choose the outdated and older 747-8 airframe that has less passenger capacity and less passenger comforts and doign all of this while using more fuel per passenger. The choice is obvious. Airlines will choose A380. Once you have flown in A380, you will never want to fly in 747 again. The next wave of A380 will be more efficent. In the future we can look to many improvements in the A380 frame.
Boeing is 10 years behind Airbus. Airlines that use 747-400 will be looking to upgrade in the new future and it seems A380 is the most popular choice. Airlines don't just want another 747 derivitive. They want a completely new airliner.
Now with the delays of 787 it seems A350will enter market 2-3 years after 787 which should make for an interesting market. A350 can also take advantage of building second making A350 with slightly better technologies than 787.

By streching it a bit, and changing the lightening system, it cannot stand to the level of the A380. 747 is over, A380 rules the world. On the other hand Concord was the first fastest passenger aircraft made by the British. Boeing uptill now has failed to make a aircraft fast as Concord. We are not talking here F16.

Boeing can't even make a aircraft in terms of innovation and technology. The 747-800 is the new version of 747-400 1960s LOL. If you look at the 767 and 777 787, all these aircraft look the same. It is just the same. Airbus on the other hand maded aircraft in terms of innovation and technology. A330 and A340 are two complete diiferent aircraft. Do u see the difeerence. A340 has 4 engines and A330 has 2.
Actually, do the 747-400 is about 90 ft longer than the 200, and was introduced in the 80s, the 787 contains curved wings, chevrons on the engines, and is made of over 50% plastic (very strong plastic). The 777 has the largest, and shockingingly fuel efficent for its thrust creation, engine of any commercial aircraft. Not only that, the plane is about the same size as an a340, but only has 2 engines, engines that could power the 747, but not the a380 (once again, its enormous size eliminates...
a possibility for more fuel effiecency). I don't know much about the 767, so perhaps your correct that Airbus takes the prize on that size class. And the A350 still uses winglets, and no chevrons, which have recently been shown to reduce noise by 20-30%. Curved wings make aircraft 10-15% more fuel efficent. The plastic used on the 787 saves buyers tons of money
actually the airbus fleet is also suffering because of the a380s recent problems and shipping lates. also in the rush to catch up to the 787 dreamliner airbus has been trying to build their a350 which is heavily costing them.
I doubt Boeing cares if the A380 is bigger than 747. All they're doing is improving on an already successful 747 like they always do. The only real problem with the787 is the composite wing box testing failure witch has to be redisign using titanium. It will add more weight to the plane but it will still be fuel efficient.

A380 is more economical if it's full every time it flies. New Zealand is already complaining to Emirates about the A380 flying in not at full capacity. They are worried about CO2 emissions per seat. With A380 not being full is really bad on this requirements.

People who are keep saying that the 747 is a 40 year old boring airplane are either not a pilot or have anything to do with building this machine. The only 40 years old is the name 747. Most of the 747 flying right now are built from the 90's up to 2008. Why Boeing keeps the name? Because it's an icon and the most recognized airliner in the world. It's like the 2009 Ford Mustang is not exactly the same as the 60's Mustang. It has an established reputation, so you utilize that to sell planes.

Actually, they have already created about 3 787's. and ive seen the first boeing 747-8 in production. It is a very nice plane, at this stage they are about to bend the wings. I dont know what they plan to do next but all i know is that the first one is for a cargo company. The Boeing 747-8 is lighter, bigger, and faster than its older version. (bigger by about 18')

Clearly, the A380 offers greater economic value to those airlines despite it being more expensive to buy and maintain etc. The simple fact that sales stand at 234 for the A380 to 33 for the passenger version of the 747-8 is testament to the preference for the Airbus product, no mean feat considering Boeing's expertise & experience over the past 40 or so years.

Burgers are DELICIOUS!! I eat four a day from McDonalds and Burger King. I love how the grease drips out from the bottom and the taste of the tender, meaty patties. I also enjoy the French Fries, which were clearly made by the French, hence the name "French" fries. Boy I wish I could eat a burger right now. Well I am glad you enjoy burgers. And to solve the crisis of having too little meat for the amount of bread, multiple procedures may be done. One easy fix is to order a double cheeseburger. Another solution is to take off the top bun, but that presents problems with the messiness factor. Also, what does a "Good ole English Breakfast" consist of?

It generaly consists of sausage, egg, bacon, hash brown, fried bread, and occasionaly beans(however I prefer without) and tomatos. Very healthy of cource, a british man needs fuel to walk amongst england's mountains green.
With the burger,I find the double cheeseburger becomes very unstable and slippery, the sauces acting as lubrication, and before you know it half of it is on the floor :-( and removing the top bun will leave the meat open to microbes, and will result in messy fingers

You present a good argument about the cheeseburgers, but they are still my favorite. And a true American breakfast consists of an egg McMuffin from Mcdonalds with a coke. On rare occasions we will go through the hassle of making a home-made meal of a frozen, microwavable breakfast. We dont need much energy to push the pedal down in our Fuel-Inefficient SUV's or trucks to get around.

Well when those 747 need to replaced. Do you think airlines will choose the outdated and older 747-8 airframe that has less passenger capacity and less passenger comforts and doign all of this while using more fuel per passenger. The choice is obvious. Airlines will choose A380. Once you have flown in A380, you will never want to fly in 747 again. The next wave of A380 will be more efficent. Boeing is 10 years behind Airbus. Airlines that use 747-400 will be looking to upgrade in the new future and it seems A380 is the most popular choice. Airlines don't just want another 747 derivitive. They want a completely new airliner.
Now with the delays of 787 it seems A350will enter market 2-3 years after 787 which should make for an interesting market. A350 can also take advantage of building second making A350 with slightly better technologies than 787.

By streching it a bit, and changing the lightening system, it cannot stand to the level of the A380. This airplane is so superior to "La Grande Beluga" (the A380) that I feel sorry for Airbus. This dude is a game-changer. Just piling on the peasants is not the main point in the real world of scheduled flying, and the A380 is not suitable for cargo despite its enormous size. Actually, do the 747-400 is about 90 ft longer than the 200, and was introduced in the 80s, the 787 contains curved wings, chevrons on the engines, and is made of over 50% plastic (very strong plastic). The 777 has the largest, and shockingingly fuel efficent for its thrust creation, engine of any commercial aircraft. Not only that, the plane is about the same size as an a340, but only has 2 engines, engines that could power the 747, but not the a380 (once again, its enormous size eliminates...

I doubt Boeing cares if the A380 is bigger than 747. All they're doing is improving on an already successful 747 like they always do. The only real problem with the787 is the composite wing box testing failure witch has to be redisign using titanium. It will add more weight to the plane but it will still be fuel efficient.

A380 is more economical if it's full every time it flies. New Zealand is already complaining to Emirates about the A380 flying in not at full capacity. They are worried about CO2 emissions per seat. With A380 not being full is really bad on this requirements.

People who are keep saying that the 747 is a 40 year old boring airplane are either not a pilot or have anything to do with building this machine. The only 40 years old is the name 747. Most of the 747 flying right now are built from the 90's up to 2008. Why Boeing keeps the name? Because it's an icon and the most recognized airliner in the world. It's like the 2009 Ford Mustang is not exactly the same as the 60's Mustang. It has an established reputation, so you utilize that to sell planes.

there is too much od a bend on the wing. that plain gets into bad weather it and going to hold Mother nature cant cant help herself but fuck things up.

i was just a the boeing plant in everett,, they already have completed 4 787's and are working on the first 747-8 for the cargo company cargolux. the first passenger version is for lufthansa. qantas has ordreed 8 747-8 to compliment it's a380s

neither, this is an animation. they have already made a couple (i believe). this is not flight simulator. this is the sort of stuff that pixar and disney does. it's a "cartoon", if you will. they are using it to demonstrate what changed.
besides, you can't morph your plane in Flight simulator.

That's an amazing aircraft. And I agree with saab93, A380s are ugly. The thing I love about this plane is the way the wings bend upward, that is so cool. Is the 8 going to be any faster???

Actually, they have already created about 3 787's. and ive seen the first boeing 747-8 in production. It is a very nice plane, at this stage they are about to bend the wings. I dont know what they plan to do next but all i know is that the first one is for a cargo company. The Boeing 747-8 is lighter, bigger, and faster than its older version. (bigger by about 18')

Aircraft of these times are still clumsy aerodynamic things... I mean an aircraft of these times is basicly a tube with wings.
Make a delta shaped aircraft, concorde like but way better. Withtout the tube shape and without windows (no place for that), just one big delta flying aircraft.
But the question is will people fly aircraft without windows. The future will tell us.
