Your tutor is, probably, right. You need to nail the piece first and then get the emotion into it when you are not worried about what your fingers are going to have to do next.
I have brim loads of emotion, but no skill!!
You obviously have the skill and the emotion will come in due course.
You made a nice job of this lovely piece. I'm using it as a study model myself as I've just located the score on the Dos Amigo' s site. Thanks for playing.
I like the balance between solo and accompaiment-voices. But the sound's delay-effect is crappy. Can you avoid it? And, some extent of vibrato would be nice on those romantic gems.
Muito obrigado pela espécie comentário. Por favor, envie-me uma mensagem com o seu endereço de e-mail e eu vou tentar obter uma cópia da folha de música para você.
Oh Paul, this is so beautiful! Both the piece and your playing of it. This may be my favorite of your postings, but you don't make it easy to pick a favorite. You've been quite productive lately - lucky us!
Great Play Rex-007, you have very good rhythmic flow feel for dancing , always i want get up my butt from the seat and dance and dance while you play. Very elegant rendition , keep coming more . My Best Regards Paul, cheers. ******AsGoodAsItGetsVidas*******
Yes It's a shame How low can the aussies Go to win , We had the match In our grip 134/6 They knew that There Defeat was Inevitable , Heck they Even set up the 3rd umpire. I am also sad to see that India Is still there in Aus , If i were in Kumble's Shoes I would have brought the team back Home !!!! Bloody Aussie Cheaters ..That racist cheat *********** Steve Bucknor should be kicked out What say ?
Paul, I have to say your feel for tempo is among the best I've heard on Youtube. I wish I could control the speed as you do. Watching my own videos it appears someone is off camera with a gun to my head threating to pull the trigger, if I don't hurry up and finish. Well done as usual.
I am amazed at the tempo maintenance in this one. I, too, had a gun to my head. Karen was hoping this take would be good enough to post....an episode of a UK soap opera was imminent!!
Congratulation!

j'adore ce nocturne. Trés belle interprétation.
Par curiosité, qui est-ce qui a confectionné cet instrument ?

Je vous remercie des aimables commentaires.
Ma guitare est un Oscar Teller 1967 (luthier allemand).

I really enjoyed this Nocturne, I will have to look for more by Mertz.
By the way, I like your microphone stand but mine is a bit higher tech. My hiking boot puts my microphone at a good angle and aboot the right height.

We don't need a mic stand do we, Sir? Improvisation is the order of the day.
I bet you watched Blue Peter too!

Paul
Gangly1 3 years ago
I hear mic stands fall over. Each hiking boot has to withstand 100 lbs so no problem with a mic!
I don't know Blue Peter, who/what is Blue Peter? Perhaps something up my alley.
Anyway, always enjoy your playing.

well played. I play this piece also, and also start with the E on the second string. You can end the piece in the last bars with 4 on c and 3 on g.

None taken my friend. All playing suggestions are gratefully accepted.
As for the sound, it is a little bit of echo, not delay, and yes I could avoid it, but the room is so acoustically dull I prefer not to do so.

Paul
