  • replace it

  • more then likely its the upper strut mount ....

  • wow that does not sound good at all, whats the red bracket there...camber kit?

that could be your problem, put back the stock arm and see if the noise presists...

  • @spam420rice Yep, it's a camber kit. I'm pretty sure that is what is causing the noise. I just haven't had a chance to do it because the car is in a family members possession.

  • This is more then likely Because u r using OEM KYB GR2's lol, why the heck would you use GR-2's? lol they are rated for a max of 1.5 Inches on a sagged stock spring so maybe 1.3" lowering springs theres 1.0 1.1" drop springs can't remember there name anymore was a while when i saw them they are paired on Tokico HP Blue Shocks n Struts Sometimes but GR'2s are probably your problem here, tokico HP Blue strut's would saved u from this problem i bet, good luck Gr2s are like pure OEM.

  • @spam420rice yea camber kit

  • try to drown with struts with WD-40 , you dont have to take it off the car just remove the wheels , and then put WD-40 on ever part of the strut , try not to get any on the brakes or rotors , if the sound leaves u got a bad strut

  • same here. did you find what it is?mine makes me go nuts

  • steering rack??

  • Upper control arm bushings. Or the camber kit. It sounds like it is something that is bolted DIRECTLY to the frame based on the resonance of the noise. It sounds like metal on metal contact, so I would check the camber kit/control arm bushings.

  • that was suspension binding mostly sounds like coming from top of strut, solution: with car on ground and load on the suspension loosen the top strut bolts, and then re torque.

  • whats the differents between eibach pro kit and eibach sportline kit

  • @dchrish, the sportline kit is a much more aggressive spring. The sportline drops the car almost 2 inches, and the pro kit only drops it a little over 1 inch. The sportline spring is also much stiffer.

  • its just plastic rubing against metal just lube up all your likage points and rubing points in there and you will be all set.

  • i have this 350z and it was making the same noise you know what! you gotta get some new upper struts and do it by you self .. or get someone else to do it for you ,....

  • ahh your ride is jacked homes. Get some K-Sport Coilovers

  • haha I sold this ride a long time ago. I'm on megan coilovers on my mr2 now, check out the vids lol.

  • Upper strut bearing. Coil is rotating/binding.

  • sounds like its rubbing against something

  • So ppl should not buy ebay camber kits?

I would just turn the radio up and noise is fixed lmao j/k

  • haha just gotta be careful when you buy stuff on ebay, there are a lot of replica parts out there and stuff.

  • shoot well i have srs camber kit with skunk2 springs n shock...it doesnt make noise like urs..when i drive u cant heard noise..its not bouncing n its go0d driving car..i have a 99 civic ex couple....

  • i bet if you sell the car and buy a nissan your problem would go away...lol j/k man

you should try regreasing ALL of your bushings

  • well, I actually sold the car and bought a toyota LOL. But I found which bushings they were and just kept them greased. I will be helping the current owner (my sister) in replacing the camber kit with a real skunk2 kit this fall!

  • VIDEO SHOULD BE REMOVED BECAUSE IT IS MISLEADING. YOU DON'T HAVE SKUNK 2 CAMBER KIT in that video! U can easily tell by the adjustment bolts.

Your video shows the bolts on the upper portion of the camber kit.

Skunk 2 produces their kits w/ bolts on the bottom side 4 easier access.

However, 2 answer your question in reagards 2 the rickety sound, EBAY. LOL!!! sucks u got screwed. No-name products use cheap quality materials hence the low price. Sound u hear is probably your springs adjusting.

  • STFU

Let me guess you probably have or had at one point k-sports/Megan racing or D2 coilovers

    Tool

  • sorry man.. tein, jic, zeal & kei office is what we offer our clients.

our cars are equipped with these kits too. However, Megan Racing coilovers are a great alternative 4 the budget minded builder/tuner.

Carefully research products GT35RGVR4 before U knock on a name brand.

You're more than welcome 2 visit our offices & test drive our various cars if you wish. We strongly believe in sharing our 25+ years of experience w/ others 2 help better understand the products and make an educated buy.

  • Sorry to rain on your parade but all those coilovers i mentioned are made in the same factory from the same parts. Dont believe go to any car forum especially Lancerregister or mirageforums. If Megan racing was so good why did my friend "tracking his car 3 times a year end up with 3 blown struts with in 2 events, and top of that broke 2 camber plates in half due to using cheaper Aluminuim. And you need to read warhawks comment he is aware they are fakes, No need to tell him to remove the video

  • That is not entirely true. Skunk2's first generation of camber kits look EXACTLY like the one I have in the video with the adjustment bolts on the top. This design suffered from several problems so skunk2 redesigned the 2nd generation camber kits (the ones you described) with the bolts on the bottom.

But yeah, I definitely learned my lesson about buying car pats on ebay. I found out it was the 2 outer bushings causing the noise. Which is rediculous because they were onle like 2 months old

  • You're an idiot. There's a Tuner and Pro series and Pro Plus series for Front Camber kits which are all different.

  • how much did that camber kit cost you??? i need one bad. i have put the same struts on mine with custom tein springs. ive lowered the front about 4 in. now it tucks a little of the tire and i am needing to fix my negative camber because of scrubbing

  • I got it off ebay for about 150. But, I later found out that the kit is not actually skunk2, it's was some china replica bullshit. How much negative camber are you running because it's usually not needed. As long as you get a good toe alignment after you lower it, you should still get even tirewear.

  • It was the bushings on the camber kit, I sprayed it with wd40 and the noise went away. I will be removing the camber kit next time I need an alignment and going back to stock.

  • i have that too on my 01 civic =(

  • do you have any suspension mods done? or is it stock?

  • I say deal with it yO

  • its annoying as HELL!!!
