  • I bought an EFIE and had tried to find out how to install it on my certain vehicle for 4 months ..finally i payed a mechanic 100 dollars and he studied the best he could and installed it.. but there's no difference of any indication that it does anything.. its supposed to flash a green light on idle but never did. now im banging my head to figure out if he wired it correct or what.. my van is 1998 Chevy venture 3.4 L

  • The new proportional EFIE I've been testing acts the same too. It connects straight to the sensor's signal wire, you just splice it in. So I'll try adding maybe just 50mV and see if the frequency is lower.

  • The sensor does 1-5kHz depending on RPM. With every EFIE I've tested so far, the result is the same: adding in the range of 180-250mV (which is what most people end up adding) whatever the EFIE's frequency on the bench, it ends up being much higher in the vehicle. For example, the typical EFIE does around 15kHz on the bench but 500kHz in the vehicle when connected to the sensor. At this point I believe that the ECU doesn't care much about the actual frequency, as long as it switches fast enough.

  • another Idea is to use a High Voltage low amp Coil running off the Signal form the Tack. Control without the Fancy Dan. or use Ignition Coil output "Pulsing circuit" Hooked to a Relay to control Voltage

Untried but I will get the Hardware attached to my TBird and Post the Results on Youtube.

  • By all means, try it and post your results!

  • So just for Thick sakes what is a EFIE is that the Mass airflow censer after the Air Cleaner?

I have two Vehicles a 1964 Thunder bird and a 1983 Subaru Loyal

Thunder bird no censers and the Subaru has a Oxy a Mass and a Electric EGR.

I have been told that you get Blow by because HHO is such a Light Gas mix.

I am trying to Convert the TBird to only HHO.

  • 1)EFIE is 'electronic fuel injection enhancer' and traditionally applies to devices that modify 02 sensor signal, although e-bay sellers are now calling other devices EFIE's also.

2)The MAF sensor is at or just after the air cleaner

3)I've never heard of increased blowby with HHO but who knows

4)Good luck on the T-Bird! You will need a HUGE amount of HHO, and a truly on-demand delivery system. So far only Meyer's water spark plugs or pure compressed H2 from a bottle have run cars exclusively.

  • do you use a transformer in your unit like zero? what do you think about pulsing your voltage out of the box? nice unit.

  • I had to redo my reply- I want to say that EVERY EFIE IS PULSED! Maybe he found a better way to pulse it, but I haven't found that changing the frequency helps. And the guy who is selling these won't reply to my e-mails! So I believe that this new 'pulsed EFIE' must be a scam.
